Yep, definitely out of control....
2. My '83VR was my first Yamaha. Since then I've bought and sold another '83VR look alike. Also picked up a few more. A '93VR, a '91VR Tux., a 90VR, an '87VR, and a 83/84/86VR. I'm also feeding a '99RSV, a '04RSMV, and an '07RSV.

I think you need to lighten up a bit..... As far as getting upset about non-Venture subjects... You're a little late..

I bought my daughter a Mustang Convertable a couple of years ago. I could barely squeeze in behind the wheel. They just don't have room for xxxxl drivers. My '89 Firebird 5.7TPI GTA was a different story. Not a lot of room, but could drive it 9 hrs to Vegas and still be able to walk when I got there.... I'd have to buy two Miatas. One for each foot... :-)
6. I had some but they were in Mr. Z's garage when it went up in smoke...

Don't look like no car to me....
8. I used to shoot a lot of trap back in another lifetime before Sporting Clays. Sounds like fun....
9. WOW!!!!!
10. No need to solder anything... The replacement points are identical to those in the pump. The only problem I found was the pigtail wire was crimped at the contact point. A little prying and squeezing will work.... Go buy a right angle 5/16th male to male hose bib from your local auto supply. Take the two leads off the pump and connect them using the fitting. No need for a hose... Like me, if you don't like McGuivering an after market pump in the OEM's place, you might try replacing the points. I picked up 3 sets off Amazon for around $25 bucks a set. I also picked up a used fuel pump off eBay. I carry a spare pump in the saddle bag on long trips...

12. That first pick looks like someone took a TPD Trailer and added the front extension. If the trailer had a standard tongue the tandem wheels are right where they should be. Wonder what the tongue weight is with that bike on there?? Can't be good...
13. I'm thinking on the temp it might be a bad ground at the sensor or a bad sensor?? The sensor housing is located on the rightside forward on the motor. There's a brown wire going to a screw on the frame. On the tach... I think the pulse is picked up by the #2 piston. Maybe a bad lead?? Never been there before so this is just a shot?...
14. www.cast-aways.com Since it's a biz, I also have my own POP account with about 5 different email addresses out of 200 possibles. Kinda lets me know where the post is coming from. The one for here is condor@cast-aways.com.
15. So I get this call on my phone from this guy..heavy accent.. sez he's from my webpage host and my Email has been compromised and blocked due to me sending out virus's, and check my computer... I tell him I have a active Virus and firewall program installed. So he tell's me that the email address is unblocked, and have a good day and hangs up. I think the guy was trying to sell a virus program and to get my vitals to pay for it. Checked in on my website control center and it's biz as usual. No notices... no nutting... http://www.cast-aways.com/CONDORPICS/Sam-Side.jpg
16. Being an old dark room junky, what happened to Magenta, Cyan, and Yellow??... :-) :icon_lurker: And.... 18% gray??
17. I wonder what a Lindal Log Cabin Kit like that would cost??? I have 1.5 acres down in Valley Springs CA that would be a great site to build a Log Cabin kit on... I've been thinking along the lines of logs, or rice straw bale construction....?? The address is 4277 Hart Vickson if anyone even cares to Google it. Gold country foothills, all utilities, paved access, great view, and...NO SNOW!! The big problem?? It's in Kalifornia....
18. Hey, I'm just the messenger....
19. I'm not sure the Odyssey Rep had his voltages correct. He may have been a sales rep that didn't have all his ducks in a row. Without getting into a big debate, gassing occurs at 13.5voltsDC. And generally the highest charge voltage on a 12VDC battery is 14.2-14.4vdc. We did a group buy a number of years ago with Odyssey. At first they were great to work with, but after the third buy service dropped off considerably. What does get me is when they toss around 12 year life expectancy but only offer a 1 year warrantee. The DEKA AGM is rated higher, and the footprint of the battery is OEM. I've been buying them from Bohannon, and have had great service. Generally 2 days to my doorstep.
20. When I bought my '91VR the trunk was held on buy zip ties, and had two gaping holes right on the bottom where it attached to the rack. The tabs that the rack mounted to were even broken off. I can usually visualize what caused something, but I'm still befuddled on this one. Everything else was perfect.. What I did is used fiberglass matt as a backing wetted out with IPS 16 ABS thick viscosity ABS Adhesive on the inside... Once it set up I used something like Bondo to fill in the outside surface. Can't remember what I used, but Wild Hair turned me on to it. Since it was on the underside of the trunk I feathered it and shot it with Krylon Semi-Flat Black. Turned out great..... BTW had the tabs welded back on by a local muffler shop...
21. You're so intuitive....and I guess it's the reason you've had such a great success in real estate.... https://www.treasury.gov/auctions/irs/soco_real_8444.htm BTW this exchange doesn't need to be posted here. Try PM the next time you have something to say....
22. Sigh!.. OK, it's not your dream... I'm sorry you didn't find what I posted entertaining enough for you as it stood. It was for a lot of folks. What you do need is to lighten up, and if you want to sound off about your negative experiences in the Real Estate market, start another thread...
23. Really, I didn't know that..........
24. Whether you can afford it, or buy it cheaper isn't the issue here. It's the dream.... and winning the lotto all rolled up into one.. If you can't see that, and want to reduce it down to a market evaluation, then you really missed the spirit of the post. Wouldn't it be great to throw a leg over a Super Tenere and ride 709 to the end. Gorgeous country even if the home weren't there... Dreaming is good for the soul..
