  1. amen brother!!
  2. Since I have no idea what's in the rebuild kit I'll let someone else field that question...
  3. The 83 carbs have the vacuum for the sensor coming from the Venturi rather than the manafold.....
  4. That's really interesting. I wonder what it would be like with V-Max heads and cams?? OR that set up on a V-Max instead of the boost. Just not having to fiddle with 4 carbs is a plus in my book....
  5. If you live in NorCal, and go anywhere east, or are planning to visit, most of the time we take I-80 over the Sierras between Reno and Sacramento. Heard about this on the radio this morning. Like Paul Harvey the rest of the story should be interesting... The California High Patrol is investigating a fatal shooting on I-80 near Truckee in what officials say could be related to motorcycle clubs. Officials with CHP say the shooting happened just before 4 p.m. Witnesses told authorities three other motorcyclists dressed in black shot at the unidentified man. The victim was transported to a hospital in Reno, but died from his injuries. CHP says the victim is affiliated with a motorcycle gang, but is "a friend of the club, not a member." Officials haven't disclosed which club the victim had ties to, and won't say if the suspects are in from another club. Westbound I-80 at Truckee, near the Nevada state line, will be shutdown until at least midnight, CHP says. http://www.kolotv.com/content/news/Westbound-I-80-closed-at-state-line-for-CHP-investigation-394701511.html
  6. That arm sure looks familiar... I haven't had any hair growth on my right thigh for 50 years. Ground all the hair follicles off sliding thru an intersection on my right side and asset. Pre ATGATT. T-Shirt, Burmuda shorts, and sandals.. Took months before the thick scabs finally sluffed off. The first couple days, every time I bent my leg the scab would crack and bleed making the scab thicker. Hope you heal quickly. Don't pick at it!!!!!!
  7. NO.... To much...
  8. All benders are scary with the potential damage to bike and body they cause. I'm wondering?? Were you riding in a side gale?? The first half of that video someone was all over the place... Made me wince just watching.....
  9. And I just passed on a 2005 Heritage Soft Tail Classic w/7500 on the odo when the bidding went over 4 grand. Kinda shows ya where my thinking is at... :-) So is yours in that price range???
  10. For those who don't have an old piece of a negative laying around, they have a cleaning tool...which is basically a thin piece of film... and it's fairly cheap.. http://www.altrider.com/index.php/product/detail/pid/318?gclid=COWbk8zSls8CFYlafgodbbsGDQ Sorry for the long address but for some reason I can't get the hot link icon to work.
  11. The extra height of the MKII clutch covers isn't noticeable. The foot prints are the same, and take the oem fasteners. Personally I'd pick one up off eBay....
  12. :thumbsup2:
  13. The last time my wife and I took the kids to DisneyLand we rented a couple of these things. She needed one, and I didn't want to admit it, but for covering that sort of acrege, I did too. It was great!! An E ticket ride... I'll eventually need one and have a 4 wheeler that I picked up in an auction stowed away just for that occassion.
  14. Nothing right now. I just have a stack of green in the safe. I did pick up a Nissan Titan a year or two ago, but it just isn't the same.... Maybe I'll go buy a Harley??.... I think I'm depressed....
  15. I still have a kinda hollow feeling in the pit of my stomach..... And no I ain't hungry....
  16. If it still has plenty of tread I'd keep running it if the cupping isn't too deep. It all depends on how and where you ride. Mostly slabbing?? Run it. If you find it bothersome in the twisties...replace it..
  17. Check your front tire for cupping. Running under inflated tires will cause sidewall flexing and the end result is cupping. And...buzzing in the curves... :-)
  18. Sold my F250 4x4 with 240K great miles on the odo. We spent a lot of time together and she will be missed.
  19. Another possibility is you may have a lot of cr@p plugging the filter on top of the reserve fitting on the inside of the tank. An '07 has been around a while, and if it's never had something like Sea Foam run thru it, a lot of water and junque will collect at the bottom of the tank.... I'd pull the tank and remove the petcock. I bet there's a lot of stuff blocking the reserve fitting.... My 2¢

  21. I think, like Canada, Yamaha also exported to Mexico, and they use a different type of VIN number system...
  22. There,s a strong possibity you have air in your brake line. Try bleeding the brakes before doing anything drastic....
  23. I think that screw holds the magnet??? Maybe??
