With the rear tire over the axle you're placing way too much weight on the tongue. Too much is just as bad as not enough. Remember we're dealing with an 850# bike here. I trailer in a 10'er also, and the engine sits slightly ahead of the axle. The trailer doesn't even wiggle when underway. In the pic the chock sits about 8" off the forward bulkhead behind the spare. It's a great set-up.

LOL.... yeah, this one's gonna b sold by my kids after punching out....

After re-reading this thread another thing comes to mind. Check the axle and make sure it's aliened with the hitch. Measure from the ball back to each side of the axle. They should measure the same distance. When the snow melts....

Yep... I agree with Joe and Bob. $4000 is the high end, and then let them beat you up... One thing to take into consideration... has it had the rear shock replaced??? I paid $4100 for my '99 with 40K on the odo, a ton of bling, and a new shock about 6 years ago.

I can relate... It's a tough road to travel. Prayers up.. -
Remember the pounding in first half?? If he keeps going the Falcons will bury him next year.... Not a great way to hang up the cleats.... He sez he wants to keep playing into his 50's.... He's there. Super Bowl 51... :-)

I gotta be the odd man out here. The first half had me giving up on the Pats. It was depressing.. The Falcons were kicking their a$s. But.... I've been around long enough to know the real games usually don't start until after half time... Which I thought was great BTW... When the Pats scored that first touchdown in the 2nd half I knew something good was about to happen, and wasn't disappointed. I still figured they were going to fall short, but at least they were going to make it a respectable close. Boy was I wrong, and happy to be so. My son called and asked if I was watching, and I told him with tongue in cheek that the Pats were going win and he could put that one in the bank, I didn't realize how true that prediction would become. The rest of the prediction was that Brady would retire, and the Falcons would be the next dynasty. All you Falcons fans just remember... They're young and resilient, but it's just damn hard for youth and skill to over come old age and treachery...

My '83 had a bad rear brake gremlin that would lock up due to heat expanded DOT3, and a plugged expansion relief hole. Since the bleeder valve was cracked and nothing came out there was no pressure. Did fluid come out after stepping on the pedal?? The only way that could happen is the fluid was cool. What happens after running around the block a few times?? Hot DOT3 and a plugged hole will lock the rear brake up tighter than a frog's a$$. I have an extra right saddle bag that is actually burnt due to heat coming off a rear caliper. Another problem I ran into, which was self inflicted, was I reassembled the master using a silicon to lube the plunger when putting it back together. Silly Cone and DOT3 don't like each other. The rubber cone stuck to the wall of the master. Had to rebuild it again using DOT3 as the assembly lube. I don't know if anybody answered your question, but the plastic 'L' fluid supply fitting on the side of the master is held in with an 'O' ring. Take out the screw and massage it back and forth. It should come out.

That no-name tree is a Wisteria. Also I can feel your boredom though out this post. It seems like all the excitement is gone by the one sentence comments... You need some excitement in your life. Go find a senorita.... :-) -
That does make it a PITA. Did the same thing last Saturday. Went to pick up a item from a previous auction that they were holding for me since it was only one item, and the pick up for last weeks auction was other than the warehouse. Grrr! Should have paid more attention to the pick up location. Not their fault... mine... I did win a couple this week, and will pick them up tomorrow.... on site.... I call and see if they can grab the single and bring it with them??

Paint questions body guys help

Looks like it might have been a repaint to begin with. I'd remove it and strip it down to the shell and repaint it using a good automotive paint. The repaint might have been an El Cheepo...?? -
Is he able to get email?? I've been sending jokes and commentary to his box?? I knew he wasn't doing well so figured a little laugh might help. Does anyone know what's causing the problem?? Don posted a notice a while back and now this thread, but no one has mentioned the cause... Or maybe they have and I just missed it.... Great guy, and prayers up!!

Yeah, it seems like people are always trying to reinvent word definitions. I remember when gay stood for being happy...

I've never looked into it, but do the folks bidding from their recliners online have to put up a non-refundable bidding fee?? There's one of my local auctions that requires a $300 deposit but if you don't bid on anything they give it back. However if a winning bidder bails and doesn't pay the tab they can kiss their deposit goodby... :-)

So.... When do they use S for summer...?? W has always stood for weight. 20w..30w..etc. 10w-40 basically means the oil flows like 10 and has the viscosity of 40. That's my story and I'm sticking to it....

Just a PS to the last post. When we were messing around at the top of Mt Hood in Oregon in '14 I was running around feeling great at altitude. When I rode to the Cody International with Lone Eagle in 2011, I could barely walk across the street for dinner with out stopping to catch my breath a couple of times. So things will improve big time...

Took a couple of covers over to Cycle Gear for warantee replacement. One for the '07 and one for the '99. I really like those covers. All weather and waranteed for 5 years. Bought the first in 2013, five total over the next couple of years, and they are an over the counter replacement. These last two had lost there waterproofing, and with all the rain we've been having they needed replacing. They were stored under cover in a canopy tent that I picked up off eBay, but it disintegrated in less than a year. Piece of cr@p Carson. So I'm now in the market for a new garage canopy. There's one from Canada that looks like it might last a while. Cover-Tech.com Well that's out $500 bucks to ship it... The search goes on...

Great video Puc. I have one of those tummy cuts too. Had mine back in '12 so going on my 5th year of checking negative. The percentage of it coming back get really low after the 5th, and I won't need to monitor it any longer. They took all the lymph nodes around the tumor... 16 in all..., and they all came back negative. Since your's were the same you're gonna have lots of fun with the GK... Since you are up for riding the scoot in only a week and a half after surgery ya gotta be doing great. I spent 21 days in post surgery. Anything that could go wrong...did. One after another... Yeesh!! I also lost 60 pounds. Looked like death sucking on a soda cracker... So hang in there my friend. You're going to be around for a long time....

I have a first day budget, and enjoy watching the cars cross the block that I could actually afford if I were sitting in the audience... The second day I only see a few, and on the third I sit back and watch the show and that tall redhead eye candy spotter on the stage. I also record all the segments, and then fast forward thru the ads. Cuts a 5 hr segment down to three... Wonder where in the 'H' these folks come up with that sort of money?? PS.. Today should be interesting. We have a huge rain and wind storm blowing thru here and it's headed in Scottsdale's direction...

Yep, a 7 Rem Mag will do that. I own 4 or 5 of them. All Rem 700's and one Husquavarna. I'm also partial to 264 Win Mag's. We have a group of locals that shoot long distance. Some with 338 Lapua's and a couple with 50 barrets. At 2300 yards they hold 30-40 feet above a 6' a steel target to allow for drop and windage, and it takes a while to travel that distance. After a hit the bullets look pretty interesting. Some bent, and some flattened, but none are fragged. Not much energy left at that distance. Interesting article, but not totally conclusive. Those stated injuries and deaths may have occurred from guns not fired vertically, and the 1920 tests were done with a 30 cal rifle at 2900fps, and the returning at 700 (max) fps is almost the speed of sound. That's also 477 MPH. Many rounds will drop below the speed of sound when fired horizontally, so I'm not buying it... Yes it's dangerous firing a gun and not knowing where it's headed, but when a bullet reaches terminal velocity even a little off vertical at nearly that speed, or 400fps, and penetrating a roof?? I ain't buying it... It is interesting, and I wish someone would do more research with modern technology on the subject.

Got that in writing?? I guess what I read here is that a 50 cal ball shot straight into the air with a muzzle velocity of 800fps will return to terra firma at 400fps?? Yes?? Since the ball will actually come to a complete stop for a nano-sec before changing direction and falling, that it actually gains speed and mass energy during the fall, equivalent to half the MV of the ball driven by expanding gases from a black powder burn...

Good analogy Puc. I wouldn't want to get hit by a 2 pound chunk of hail. Heck one the size of a golf ball would get my attention, but we're talking about a 240 grain piece of lead (.5"x 1.25") that will only fall at a given speed, and not gain speed on the way down. Remember the old High School Physics question about a pound of feathers and a pound of lead and which one will hit the gound first?? The answer is at the same time in a vacuum, but the lead will win the race because of wind resistence... Maybe that's why 1stGens are faster than 2nd's.... They have more lead in their pencil...
