On the paint issue Jeff... We use a high quality automotive paint when painting a fiberglass boat hull. The color choices are endless... :-)

Sorry for your family losses Annie... It's been happening all too much lately. My wife and I and the kids, did the Alaska Cruise about 8 years ago, and we loved it. Juneau, Ketchakan, and Skagway. Heck I was ready to move to Juneau. The train ride has always been on my bucket list... Lucky you!! Keep us posted on your state side trek.... and pics... :-)

I just had this forwarded to me by Rocket. I was just texted this afternoon by Missy, Black Owl's daughter, that he was taken to hospice. They think he has a couple of days left. I asked her to call me but I have not heard anything. Folk I am afraid it sounds just like it sound. I'll do my best to keep you all informed.

Last time we stayed at the Monte Carlo. It was right in the middle of all the theme 'parks'. That'll keep you busy for many days and cool too. One day you might schedule a helo ride over the Grand Canyon. Great experience. The Hoover Dam tour.

Yep $750 is about what mine runs on my three Ventures. A $250 average. '99=$200, '04=$250, '07=$300. That's for 100/300 full coverage. I have too much too loose taking chances. One other thing that has been discussed before, but needs to again. Make sure all your policies cover unDER-insured as well as un-insured motorist.. Ask Dan about that one..... Geico by the way...

WOW!! Nice shooting. You da man!! I never got into punching paper..more breaking clays, ducks, doves, pheasant, and deer in mainly that order. The last year I registered only 5000 birds in ATA and PITA. Wish I had just a nickle for every round I blew out the end of a trap gun. I figure I ran the value of a house out the end of a barrel over a 10 year period. Lots of patches and belt buckles, but nothing to brag about. I now own a trap gun for the first time in 40 years. Bought it 'just because'... :-)

Those 37 Rangemasters were tack drivers. Nice gun. I don't even want to think about how much I've vested in guns over the years. Need to buy another safe. The three I have now are stuffed....

I am thinking about picking up a Henry 45-70 Lever. They run a little more than the Marlin 1895, but I don't own a Henry... :-) Sadly it's a replica...sorta. Couldn't afford a real Sharps anyway. The Pedersoli are a high grade copy, and not cheap in their own right. I was looking for a 50-90, but ran acrossed this one and couldn't say no. Used they sell in the $1600-$1800 range. I picked this one up for $1000 cash and it came with about $600 worth of black powder components. So I got a screaming deal, and are a happy camper. I agree with the socialism. Especially when it comes to creating new taxes. I wasn't going to mention it for fear that this thread would drift off into a political... My problem with the AHC... is it was created to control. As far as I'm concerned the old health care system worked. The problem was all the graft and corruption that was causing premiums to sky rocket. It was a form of anarchy by both the suppliers and the receivers. No control, and a legal system full of ambulance chasers that were gorging at the pig trough.... I also hope the light bulb does go on and they do find something that will work. And you're right nothing is as simple as it seems, but creating a new tax is not the answer.

SSD or SSI has nothing to do with it, it's the taxation suggestion as a way of forcing a dietary concept, in your original post that pushes my button... I'm going back to my bowl of ice cream now....

Hey I ride one of those carts when I find one, and I receive a SSI check from the Government, but I worked my ass off for 45 years for it. If I want to eat a pound of sugar it's my choice, not someone else's. Taxation is just another way for certain people to control others. If someone wants to do anything, and it doesn't hurt any one else, they should be free to do so. I get really tired of certain factions of our society trying to tax everything in sight. For the good of others?? Really?? Come'on it's to raise more money for them to spend the way they want to. Personally, since you brought it up, we need to get rid of tax on all consumables, and rely on sales and income tax only. Live within our means... what a concept...
