Shed a tear for ya Lowell........

Good thing the bike didn't pin him... Talk about toast!! Last week I witnessed an accident where the bike tank ruptured, caught on fire, and all that was left was a black blob. A lot of bystanders emptied their extingushers on it and it still kept right on blazing away. If the rider had been pinned there wouldn't have been anything anyone could have done....

Fork Brace List

Dave, You ain't gonna like this.... Paypal....there I said it. The problem is the time it takes to go thru the mail systems, and the need to convert CADs to USDs. When paying by Paypal you can disignate the payment currency and the conversion is done automatically. Believe me it works great. If you need help with Paypal, as mentioned in previous posts, I can invoice you via Email. Sorry my friend.... BTW adding you to the list is no problem... -
I understand what you're saying, but I think you're missing the real point.. The most common theme in all of the posts, is that the authors have found Geico to be the most competitive after shopping around. Regardless of where they live, or what they pay.....

Fork Brace List

Hi Rez, I just received a note from Mark that he'll be starting production right away. Officially the order hasn't been placed yet, but just an educated guess of 3-4 weeks. If you'd like to jump on the list, we'll make some room.... and we'll need your paypal payment.... -
This is a new thread with paypal instructions for submitting your payments. Below is the list we compiled in the last couple of days of those interested in picking up a fork brace for their 1stGen. The price for those in the US is $61.50 delivered, and for those members in Canada the total will be $71.00USD delivered. I'd like to get the majority of the money into the paypal account in the next couple of days before I order the 45+ braces. Those that have already sent their payments in, a big Thank You, and to those that will.... Thank You too. I was fairly confident about hitting 20, but was a little skeptical about getting 40, and we finally hit 45 and it's still growing!!! WOW!! For payments go to www.paypal.com and Enter the email address paypal@cast-aways.com Also enter your board name, and if you'd like black or aluminum. Enter the appropreate amount and don't forget to hit the send button. As stated in the previous thread it makes my life so much easier.... and less confusing If you're new to Paypal let me know and I'll walk you through it, or I can invoice you from this end. When invoiced you'll get two email. One is a 'how to' and the other is the actual invoice. Youse guys are GREAT!!!!! We have a situation that is not going to effect those who have already paid for their braces, but will effect a handfull of members on the list who do not frequent the board all that often. Because of their infrequent visits, using the PM feature isn't effective when trying to contact them, and they also have designated not to accept email in their CP. Therefore I have no way of keeping them aware of what's happening, and if their braces aren't prepaid by the time I place the order, they will not be included. Sorry to have to take this stand, but I need assurance that what I order, I can pay for. 1. CondorPDAL2. CondorPDBLK3. SqueezePDBLK4. RocketPDAL5. squidleyPDBLK6. lonestarmedicPDAL7. Ken8143PDAL8. Thinking about getting a parts bike
Condor replied to rumn1's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I agree with Bob on this one. Hard to find plastic, chrome, and electrical accessories are where the vaule is in the current market. Mechanicals are everywhere and a dime a dozen. It's supply and demand.... -

OK, I just got off the phone with the manufacturer of the fork brace, and he's never been aware of, or been notified of any patent infringment by Super Brace in the past. The threat of legal action is taken very seriously, and from what I can gather from sb2007's second post, it seems he was just trying to 'simply to clear up any confusion and remind your members that they're not buyng a SuperBrace but a mere knockoff.' (sic) Since sb2007 didn't include any information about himself, or herself, in the CP file I can't even determine that indeed he is actually affiliated with Super Brace. If sb2007 would kindly add his name and some sort of contact information other than the linked SB website, I'd welcome a person to person chat to see where we've actually violated any laws. If we have then we will by all means discontinue any further activity. I can understand Super Brace wanting to stiffle any competition but to do it in a threating manner doesn't help with customer relations, or future referals.

Hi Pete, You'll need to log in on www.Paypal.com and follow the instructions posted a couple messages above. If you've never used Paypal before you'll have to register and then submit the payment. Any trouble send me a PM and I'll get you taken care of.

Yep, got it JB, and Rockets too.....

Yep, I also have State Farm for all my cars and home... 30years... and the rates are reasonable, but when I called them about adding my first '83VR I got 'electrocuted'.... I won't go into the details, but just say that I felt violated... Got on the web, found Progressive, and got an immediate full coverage yearly quote for a tenth of what SF wanted for just Liability for 6 months. Cool!! Then I visited Geico's website and applied for a quote and although I didn't get an immediate reply in a few hours I had a return email with the amount. Again full coverage for the whole year. It beat Pro by about $40 bucks. And the first and second renewal premiums actually went down... Right now I paying $400 bucks a year for complete coverage on 2 my bikes... 83 and 91, and that includes un-insure AND under-insured coverage. I think it's a hell of a deal..... I might also add that the coverage is for 300/100/300.

Looks like it Brad.... HUH?? I'm going to keep Squeeze busy updating the list until 1800hrs PDT today, and then switch to Paypal mode. I crunched the numbers, and for those members in the US the total will be $61.50 delivered. For those members in Canada the delivered price will be $71. Anyone wanting to send their payment, after reading this, now is no problem. When sending your payment by paypal indictate black or aluminum for a color choice, and don't forget to include your board 'handle'. It's a bear trying to figure out who sent what, when I have to play detective and go back into the members list to cross reference. So including your board name makes life so much easier..... The paypal Email address to use for payments is paypal@cast-aways.com Also.... if your shipping address is different than your paypal address please add it to the comments box on the paypal form.

If you already have one this is whre it'll help: reduces speed wobbles, fork flex, front tire wear and rain groove sensitivity while improving overall handling and front-end stability. You need to get that puppy on and go ride....
-
Got it Kevin. Thanks
-
5 so far, however there were a couple of members who said they'd be sending checks.
-
It's definately aftermarket John. Not sure if it's a Super Brace??
-
Just to make it short and sweet I gleaned this off the Super Brace site. reduces speed wobbles, fork flex, front tire wear and rain groove sensitivity while dramatically improving overall handling and front-end stability.

If all works out, it could be done Carl. It would be up to you to figure out who's doing the M&E, and are on the list. Any money saved on shipping this way would have to be refunded after the fact because of the prepay. I don't want to get into a logistics problem, but just let me know and I'll try my best to get'r done.....
