There's a guy in Europe 'hellslaus' that will pay ridiculous prices for very clean, or NOS Venture items. I think he is trying to corner the market,.... or he's obsessed... Back to the tools, I've picked up a couple of RSV tool kits myself for next to nothing off Ebay, then just added a few things to it, and have some nice kits for very little. Plus the stuff in most 2ndGen kits are usually like new. I guess that makes 'm other peoples children.... ???
-
Well the kit finally sold for $103.50 plus shipping of $19.25. Talk about.... yeah I'm gonna say it... stupidy. Some peoples children....???
-
Who in their right mind would spent this much money for a 1stGen tool kit. I keep seeing these things being listed on Ebay and it never ceases to amaze me what they sell for. Especially since you could probably build one with nicer tools for less.... TOOL KIT

DONE.....

Where do you carry all the tools...or does it come with a chase car??? Sorry I couldn't help myself:whistling: Hey it's winter...

Every time I think about what a bike would look like in yellow I get turned off. Every time I see a bike painted yellow I think it looks cool. Go figure...?? Very nice job..

Yeah, I've done the same thing.. Doesn't that tick you off?? I try to pay with paypal only. MOF I had a heck of a time with a ghost member of this board who didn't take Paypal, and I ended up high bidder... What a wrestling match that was...

I donno?? Definately a 'nitch' bike.... At least Honda's doing something, unlike another brand I could mention...Ahem.....
-
I've been using it for over 10 years on Ebay and my website. Never had a glitch. I especially like the ability to take different currencies, and Paypal will do the conversion to US$.

Wow!!! Talk about opinions.... I was going to suggest that you make sure you can read the screen in direct sunlight, but since there's so much input on the subject I don't think I will.... -
Dang, I didn't even know you were lost.... Amazing Grace..'er.. Steve:backinmyday:

Yep, that's where the one went in the Suburban last year. $2300 bucks later OUCH!!! They did the rebuild in shop, and now it 25K later and it's still running strong....

Good on ya Bob. I never could have worn it anyway,, If there's a big XXXL Gold '83 rider here on the board the other is up for grabs...go for it!.....
-
Ran into these two listings on Ebay for a couple of polo shirts with the gold '83 logo. I suspect that they came from Shirt's'n'Things as I already have a T with the same logo. Anyway I went ahead and bid $.99 on each item, but if anyone on the board would like one or both go ahead and have at it. It won't break my heart. I have a ton of T's. One polo is an XXXL and the other is an XLG. The seller states that he sold his VR a year ago, and may very well be a member here???? 270313196410 270313210259

Ditto. The stuff is a Farnam Product and can be found in most feed stores with a tack section.

Yeah, the receiver on the bottom is definately an add-on, and when they added it they used an odd-ball size square stock. 2"x2"OD .25 wall. It's too small to take a standard 2" hitch, and too big to handle the smaller 1.25" Class I's. I'll either locate a piece of 1.50" square, and make my own, or cut the thing off and weld on the same size the rest of the world uses for a class I.
-
Thanks Don. Since I'll probably never end up with a Bush, do you happen to know if there's an adapter available that will make it a standard 1 7/8" ball?? Love the hitch hardware. Stout...
-
what the make of this hitch is on the '91?? I've tried to ID but so far haven't come up with anything positive... I'm not worried about the square stock add-on underneath, but the post, and what fits it. I thought it might be a Bushtec, but can't be positive.

I don't think so Randy. The AD's are actuated by the pressure coming from the master thru the caliper. If it doesn't get any pressure they will not activate. So I'd say they are off all the time. But maybe I'm wrong...wadda I know?? Just to throw a little more fuel on the fire, here's a link that Rick Butler sent me a while back about a new type suspension system. I'm going to install a set up in my '91....as soon as I find that #$!@#$@$ leak.... http://www.racetech.com/

I've never had need to remove the AD's, but I have read where some riders have taken them off and put a plate over the area with new O rings. Then it's just a matter of removing the short AD line and getting a shorter banjo bolt for the brake line. Maybe someone else who's doen it can jump in here and give a report on the results??
