  1. A couple of other things could be the tire is not mounted correctly, the rim is tweeked out of round, and the tire tread pattern might not be true.
  2. Well.....?? No chrome, no GPS, nothing bike related... The girls bought me a box of truffles, and everyone in the family chipped in and bought me a new robe. I thought my old robe was just fine, even if the thing was getting a personality all it own, but the family'd been staying up wind of me lately, and I shoulda sensed something was pulling RANK!!....
  3. Most of the time it's the Drain Valve. It leaks overnight, when it gets cold, just sitting there. Replace the 'o' ring and it'll stop. The '83 has been doing it for a couple of years now when the overnight temp drops to around 35degs, and around here the temp rarely get that low . I haven't done anything about it because it's not leaking all the time, and never during the summer. It's on the one-of-these-days to-do list...
  4. Hmmm.... Enchaladas, Chilli Rellenos, Spanish Rice, Refritos, Tamales, y Banana Cream Pie!!!!
  5. Yeah...saw that Bob. Only one bid.. your's!! You did good, but it just goes to show that with the economy being in the dumpster folks are just not spending any money for anything. That Speedo would have brought a lot more in past times. I think that's another reason why it's been slim pickin's on Ebay lately. I don't think I'm any different than anybody else, and I have some nice items I'll be listing for auction, but right now I'm not going to toss them on Ebay and have them sell for half what they're worth. I'm going to wait until things get more favorable. How does it feel to own a Venture with '0' miles on it....
  6. Great looking pup. Congradulations. Is he AKC?? At least he'll go get'm. My Shorthair was great to hunt pheasants over, but in a blind she'd look at me and think...Why should I get it...You shot it...
  7. I'm hoping that the graphics haven't been on the sides for very long. The trailer looked fairly new, but I never did look for a born-on date. It also looks like the thing had been stored inside the warehouse so hopefully the uneven UV fade isn't going to be a factor. Some graphics are like decals and applied to a soapy surface. Some have adhesive backing and stuck on a prepped dry surface. Heat and Goof Off will probably be the answer if it's the later. I did try to see if I could peal up a corner, but it was on there pretty tight. If nothing works I can always just paint the graphics black, and leave it go at that. I won't be picking up the trailer until Friday. So lots of time to think about it.
  8. Yep, kinda looks that way. I just checked the Pace website and a couple of Pace dealers for prices and the thing sells new for around $3100 , and that's before taxes, and registration fees. It does have some business advertising on the sides that's barely visiable in the pic. Looks like it's a cloth material of some sort. It's conna be interesting to see what will work to remove it without destroying the finish. May have to break out the paint spray gun in the near future???
  9. Previewed an auction Monday and the only thing they had that I was even mildly interested in was a 6x12 Pace American Trailer. I wasn't into Bounce Houses and party favors so didn't want to come back for just the trailer.. Put in an absentee bid on the trailer of a grand. I didn't think it would fly, but what the heck! Got a call from the folks yesterday afternoon that the bid flew and I now own another trailer, and am sorta broke... More storage room.. .. Here's a pic...

  11. The speaker grills aren't year specific. They're all the same from 83-93, and can be regularly found on Ebay .
  12. I remember that auction. Earlier this year and it was only for the right side NOS. Hess4less had it. He also had a front right upper fairing with one on it. The '91 was dropped on the right side and the cover was never replaced so I have a good left, but no right. I thought cool!! and put a rediculously... for me... high snipe bid on it because I really needed it, and they were rarer than chicken lips. No one else would be so foolish... Yeah...Sure!! I was outsniped by a bidder in Europe that goes by the Ebay name of Hellslaus. I've run into this guy before on Ebay. If the item is NOS he'll go to the moon to own it. I don't think he needs the stuff, but is stockpiling. So Dan, if you ever get anything made, I'd be interested too. And BTW the attachment tape can usually be found at an auto paint supplier. I bought a roll of the stuff, and it's very good.
  13. Here I am sitting out in the office, it's Christmas Eve, it's raining outside, and I get treated this morning to some great pics. Many Thanks Makes the day a little brighter....
  14. Nope!!!
  15. YUP!!!!
  16. When I did it I think it took me to another area where I could pose the questions. Interesting.... Need to ask a moderator....
  17. I saw a statue of a brass monkey once.... and it didn't have any balls either....
  18. I don't have a small torque wrench, so I snug 'm to about... ummm?...there. Haven't lost one yet. 5.8ft.lbs ain't much... But, does it really make that much of a difference??
  19. You think that's bad try looking at California or Texas. I don't know if it can actually be done with little effort... like throw a switch somewhere, but making a lot of the registration info mandatory might be the answer. I've seen other sites that have some log in info part mandatory and part optional.??? And I agree, it seems like it wouldn't be that much of a problem to list the city..... unless of course you're wanted by the FBI.....
  20. I actually found a pic of me 'n the scoot, thanks to Rich99. I think I need to go on a diet....
  21. I ran my first one for the West Coast Ride in '09. The option is on the page when posting a new thread...somewhere... I just can't remember exactely where, but I think the box is toward the bottom of the page, and you need to check it before posting your message. Hope I didn't get you to confoosed.
  22. Thanks for looking Herb. I have a couple of extra covers, but unfortunately they came off MkI motors. Just looking around for one to make the 1300 in the '84 official...
  23. various good condition 86/93 engine cases (make offer, p/s), Hey Herb, Want to elaborate on this a little. I'm not sure what you mean by cases?? I've been looking for a 1300 stator cover. Just the disc in the center. Also looking for an engine pan??
  24. The only place you can find them any longer is Ebay, or do like I did and buy one with the bling already installed. Ebay's mostly during the riding season. During the winter there isn't much. Lately, with the economy being what it is, sellers aren't willing to list the nice cosmetic stuff, and have it sell at half of what it would have brought a year ago. This summer will be a good indicator of what we can expect out of Ebay for a while.
  25. Nope...No snow here. It's 45 degs and a little wet if that helps any....
