  1. I saw a statue of a brass monkey once.... and it didn't have any balls either....
  2. I don't have a small torque wrench, so I snug 'm to about... ummm?...there. Haven't lost one yet. 5.8ft.lbs ain't much... But, does it really make that much of a difference??
  3. You think that's bad try looking at California or Texas. I don't know if it can actually be done with little effort... like throw a switch somewhere, but making a lot of the registration info mandatory might be the answer. I've seen other sites that have some log in info part mandatory and part optional.??? And I agree, it seems like it wouldn't be that much of a problem to list the city..... unless of course you're wanted by the FBI.....
  4. I actually found a pic of me 'n the scoot, thanks to Rich99. I think I need to go on a diet....
  5. I ran my first one for the West Coast Ride in '09. The option is on the page when posting a new thread...somewhere... I just can't remember exactely where, but I think the box is toward the bottom of the page, and you need to check it before posting your message. Hope I didn't get you to confoosed.
  6. Thanks for looking Herb. I have a couple of extra covers, but unfortunately they came off MkI motors. Just looking around for one to make the 1300 in the '84 official...
  7. various good condition 86/93 engine cases (make offer, p/s), Hey Herb, Want to elaborate on this a little. I'm not sure what you mean by cases?? I've been looking for a 1300 stator cover. Just the disc in the center. Also looking for an engine pan??
  8. The only place you can find them any longer is Ebay, or do like I did and buy one with the bling already installed. Ebay's mostly during the riding season. During the winter there isn't much. Lately, with the economy being what it is, sellers aren't willing to list the nice cosmetic stuff, and have it sell at half of what it would have brought a year ago. This summer will be a good indicator of what we can expect out of Ebay for a while.
  9. Nope...No snow here. It's 45 degs and a little wet if that helps any....
  10. ARRRGH!!! MATEY... WE BE HI-JACKED.... http://www.iconbazaar.com/flags/animated/miscellaneous/jolly_roger_a1a.gif
  11. Earl, I think the trick here is for you to set the quantity available, and let the buyer pick the number ordered. 'Course, I've never had need to do something like that so I'm coming out of left field....
  12. Heh Heh!! Thanks for the reminder Vic. I forgot, plus it's wet out there. Attached is the best I could do...
  13. Ya'll need a beer warmer instead of a beer fridge.... unless you like dem beer popcycles...
  14. No rush Earl. With 6 bikes... 2 on the street, and 4 in'Kit Form', one or two probably have the wobble, and will need help. Thought washers might be a great thing to have sitting in reserve. I'm surprised that there hasn't been more activity on them from other members. I know when we did the group buy on the fork braces there were quite a few members who were trying to cure the 'wobbles'...., and for $3 bucks you can't beat the price.
  15. You've got Paypal Earl.........
  16. I thought by now someone would have posted a pic?? I'll go take a pic of a set on my '91 and post it tomorrow. Hang in there.....
  17. Hey Earl, those might be something I need for my stash. Maybe 5 ea. Do you take Paypal??
  18. Nope...not me, but there's a lotta happy elves running around here....
  19. Have at it Bob. I just have it saved because it's interesting... Egad!! what has life come to when an auction for a speedo is interesting????

    More Snow

My grandaughter sent pictures of her playing in 6 inches of the stuff in her front yard..... in Apple Valley CA. That's out in the Mojave dessert just north of L.A.....
  21. There's a new one on Ebay. SPEEDO And an '85 DASH Personally I'd rather swap out the intire dash than split the housing.
  22. Here's an example of a polished aluminum board off a 1stGen. Cost about $40 bucks to have the parts buffed out. Cheaper than buying new ones....
  23. This came in this morning via Email, and it's really interesting. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2008/12/18/regenerative-medicine-spare-body-parts-for-you-very-soon.aspx
  24. Yep, you never know what some of these bidders will do. I've been looking for a RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme reloading press, and the last one sold new in the box for $176 plus shipping off Ebay. You can buy one from Cabella's for $119 with free shipping. Go figure. It's P.T. Barnum gone wild...
