  1. Think LOTTO..LOTTO..LOTTO..LOTTO...........
  2. What's the deal with these 2ndGen ignition switches. It's like a plague... One of those rites of life... It's so bad owners need to carry around a by-pass kit just in case. Yamaha could have done better than that.. I can't remember hearing about a 1stGen switch taking a dive. What are they building them out of tissue paper???
  3. Clear out your browsing history file and see what happens...
  4. Most dealers carry the EBC brand.
  5. Been picking up a few rifles out of an estate the last couple of months. 3 so far, and their cost wasn't going to break the bank, but I really didn't expect to get the trailer. Didn't even go to the auction, it was a half hearted absentee bid?? The trailer is what broke the bank.... Guess I'll just have to live with it....Sigh!!!!
  6. and thought it might be interesting to a lot of the folks on VR.org. https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=135&pID=15000
  7. Heading on over to the auction house to pick up the trailer this AM. They called yesterday to let me know that they're back from vacation, and it's ready to go. They called back again about a half hour later and Betty said a guy was asking if I really wanted it, and offered $1500 for it. I replied with a 'no thanks'. Then I thought I should have countered with $2000. These things sell new in the $2500-$3000 neighborhood. Also picking up my Ruger #1 that had to be held for 10 days. I am really broke!!!!!!!!!
  8. A couple of years back I picked up a set of these off Ebay..just because. Later when I went to install a pair in the front caliper I found that the metal backing plate was too wide to fit in the void. Had to do a little 'shaping' to make them work. Since then I've found a few EBC sets on Ebay and the others sit. Personally I'd wait until you can find a couple of EBC sets...unless you need them now!!
  9. I used to have a few customers that played around with shooting stereo. Really neat stuff.
  10. Don musta joggled something loose 'cause your link is working now.
  11. "Rollin' Stone"
  12. Both work for me too Don. I donno, but that button was taken from an email to myself off the auction page, copied, and then pasted to the post. Thought I'd see if it worked. It worked off the email, and should have worked off the post??? Other times I use the hyperlink feature off the menu at the top of the reply text window. I've noticed that sometimes a hyperlink will work for me, and not for others, and visa versa. It also seems to happen when other members post. So it's a random thing. The only time they seem to work all the time is when an address is pasted in it's original form. I only use the hyperlink when the address for a webpage is huge.
  13. I don't know what the problem is trying to copy an address in Ebay and using it to hotlink to an auction. Works for some and not for others. Anyway try this. http://pics.ebaystatic.com/aw/pics/buttons/btnShowMe.gif
  14. Use Proxibid to buy one of those bikes and I bet your Vegas plans change....
  15. OK folks, Just to let you know, the MAC's will be mailed out via USPS Priority this morning to those in the US. They should show on your doorstep by Friday or Monday at the latest. Canadian... DaveZ's... will go out tomorrow or Friday. Why? Because #1, I'm whooped, and #2 I have a few biz things that need tending to. For all those who have inquired about any extra sets, the prepaid members have all been taken care of, but I'm still waiting for the last 4 sets to ship. When?? Who knows?? However when they do arrive, I'll contact those that have expressed a desire to pick up a set by the date of their request. For those members, there's no need to send me anymore PM's or Email. You're on record, and I'll contact you when the back ordered sets arrive. I just want to thank everyone who'd prepaid for being patient throughout this 'ordeal'. It's been interesting to say the least....
  16. Some folks may find this interesting.... Always fun to look at some of the old scoots... Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction this weekend. MCAUCTION#1 AUCTION#2 AUCTION#3
  17. What ever it is, if it's loud enough to sound like something's not normal in the engine, yamaha should pick up the tab to fix it. I don't buy that garbage about inspecting it first before they decide to repair. Don't let them buffalo you around. I don't know what a chain basket is, but the chain tensioner is part of the overhead cam assembly...
  18. We normally run about 10-20% more a gallon than the rest of the country. Head east and get out passed Reno and you'll be paying a lot less. We are the biggest consumer of fuel in the US, with refiners all over the place, and you'd think it would be cheaper...not!!!!
  19. As long as everyone is looking you might take a peek at this one... er two. Divide the asking in half.... Figure in the equipment... EBAYVENTURE

    Radiator

I never gave a thought about it before, but with some of our bikes running hot during the summer months, as in the case of the '83 and it being 26 years old, I wonder if boiling the radiator out might be something to consider in the general maintenence scheme of things???
  21. I'm not sure if you're looking in the right place for 1stGen mirrors on 'Fleabay'. They come up for auction all the time and don't bring nearly the $100 you quoted unless you're looking in the dealer 'buy-it-now' section. Here's a RH MIRROR that just sold a bit ago, and althought this one was a steal, be patient and you'll find one for a decent price.
  22. Gotta chuckle... That was intertaining....
  23. I just shot Jim a check for the center '1300' disc off the stator cover, so the rest of the cover should still be available... along with the stator??? However I just saw his Ebay listing for the bike. EBAY'86 So now I'm not sure what's happening???
  24. I seen a couple of big diesel pusher motorhomes with full baggers on the transom. I wonder what kind of setup they were using????
  25. If it only happens with the foot brake then it's probably something in the sensor leads from the rear master that's shorted out.
