    I just shot Jim a check for the center '1300' disc off the stator cover, so the rest of the cover should still be available... along with the stator??? However I just saw his Ebay listing for the bike. EBAY'86 So now I'm not sure what's happening???

    I seen a couple of big diesel pusher motorhomes with full baggers on the transom. I wonder what kind of setup they were using????

    If it only happens with the foot brake then it's probably something in the sensor leads from the rear master that's shorted out.

    Glad it worked for you Mike. I've split a dash before and it's no fun... besides being confoosing.. Too many small screws. R&R'n the dash is easiest if the problem has something to do with the tach or speedo.

    Avon's are the only things I'd recommend, but I don't care what brand rubber you're using, water on oil is going to make things squirley....

    I knew I could depend on Rich99 to take a few... I was too busy ogling it... Now I wonder who made it?? OK I was able to enlarge the sign on the fence post enough to kinda make out the wording. It was a little tuff but it looked like NewMar. Did a search and came up with this TOYHAULER It's not the exact same model, but I'm sure NewMar built the one at the show. Maybe it was a proto-type, and they went to a simplier design for less money???

    At last years IMS Show in San Mateo, Ca. they had a diesel pusher/toy hauler on display. I thought I might have taken a pic of it, but nope... Really a cool rig with ramps and pop outs in the rear that slid back into the 'garage' with the bike tucked away. Maybe someone else may remember it and know who made it??

    Hope he shows up Jim. Lately, every time a CL'er answers one of my ads, and makes an appointment to come over they never show. MOF I don't even dicker on the price over the phone any longer. I basically tell them to stand in front of me with green in hand, then we'll talk. In your case I'd get the money, give him the signed title, and then have him pick up the frame later.

    Did that to a spare set, and ended up putting them on the '91. Cost a bit less, but still a great cosmetic improvement over the 'old' risers...... Time has taken it's toll on most 1stGen riser finishes, and because they're right up front and personal they can make a great looking bike appear shoddy.....

    The trick here is finding cheap front fairings. Especially on this board since most of us follow Ebay and know what a nice clean fairing will bring on the used market. However, if you're handy repairing ABS you can also find left and right uppers fairly reasonable on Ebay, and since you're into painting, color shouldn't be an issue. Maybe if you posted pics of some of your paint/art work... maybe you already have??...you might get someone interested to trading as good paint jobs don't come cheap. BTW... what do you have in guns???

    Make it go faster than 15mph and the Gov is going to step in and start requiring safety features... like a full roll cage... And how about a 'mono' license??. They'll find a way to dig deeper into our pockets. From a marketing standpoint I can see these things selling as a novelty, even in high density world markets, but for 5 grand projected cost, I think they'll stick with their scooters....

    Yikes!! At $23 bucks a pop I think one of the others LED types would do, or stick with the tungston 2357 or 2356.....

    Yeah, I tried to conjure up a hood out of cardboard, coated with Plasti-Dip rubberized spray. Attached it with velcro. It was a PITA. This one looks a lot better...
