With the price dropping to $80US becasue of the stronger dollar on the world market, it doesn't make sense not to buy direct.

I think he's refering to the vents in the lowers, and they will direct warmer air onto your shins. The intakes in the front uppers are permanently open.

I looked at that one too. Saw it on Ebay. My first thought is that it would work quite well, but.... the couple would have to fit on the ball tightly or it might create a problem staying vertical. Normally there's always a little slop between the coupler and the ball, but without a mounting plate there's a lot of swivel. Try it sometime. Put an unmounted ball in a coupler and swing it from side to side. The mounting plate holds it vertical, not the coupler...

I picked up a smart charger from West Marine, and I have seen them at Sam's Club. It's a 2-20-15 charger, and it will diagnose problems with an error code read out. It looks different with an older style case, but is very similar in function to the Black and Decker at $50 bucks. It will only charge a battery at the rate it will absorb. So even though you have it set on 10amps it will charge at the lesser rate. It also gives you a charger that you can use with the car battery. http://bdonlinestore.com/imagesEdp/p56312b.jpg

In his response to one of the questions he states it's a 4, but the picture clearly shows a two, and he does state in the discription that it's for two carbs only. MORGAN CARB TUNE Going to be iffy.....

Used that method to tighten up some poured rod bearings on an early 3/4T Chevy Carryall with a straight 6. Just sanded the caps until I got the right clearance with plasti-guage. Drove the hell out of that truck for many afterwards. Wish I still had that thing... The AK47 of the truck world. -

That may no longer be the case Squeeze. Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, after reading about the Valve Emulater it looks like it's a straight drop in with the spring holding it in place. So installing it myself is do-able. I also have progressives, but might try a set of their springs too. I can put the pro-springs in another bike. Or I might just put the set up in the '91, and leave the '83 alone Decisions .... decisions?? -

Jeeese, I forgot about that!! I'll finally get to use that set of R1 calipers I have in my stash. Even have a set of MKII rotors. Did you do the installation yourself, or have them do it?? And do you still have the CLASS air hooked up to the front forks?? -

I heard about the dollar getting stronger on the world market just yesterday, and can't figure it out. Maybe RSV's will start getting more affordable That's a great price for a CarbTune.... For anyone on the fence now's the time to buy before they figure out that the dollar ain't worth much either......... That may be the reason crude oil is still down. -
Ok, gotta a question. Will the forks off a MkII fit a MkI without any physical alterations.. Just want to make absolutely sure... I'm aware of the difference in AD's. The reason I'm asking is to make doublely sure before sending off a spare set of MkII forks to RACETECH and have their suspension valves installed for the '83. When this is done there will no longer be a need for the AD's so it's a moot point. Some time ago Rick Butler refered me to these guys and gave great feedback on them.

When times get tough they start coming out of the woodwork. When doing Paypal I always run it through the CC. That way I can contest any payments made with the CC company. I've had to do it, and it does work. It's also a good thing to check the itemized CC statement and not just go ahead and send a payment off. I bought a set of boat parts from a supplier for $10 bucks, and they mistakenly charged me $250. If I hadn't questioned it, I'da been stuck. Another thing to be aware of is that scammers will send you a bogus bid or charge notice with bogus links. Things to look out for are that they do not use your registered name, and the HTTPS in the address. Any suspect emails you receive forward to Paypal spoof@paypal.com or Spoof@ebay.com before doing anything.

That's a crock!! Usually second chance offers are for your high bid. Tell 'm to stick his head in a very dark place.... Wish you had reminded them of the economy and the blue book value in your response. I've gotten a few 2's over the years, I usually ask them to sell it to me at my high bid...before....their shill pumped up the bidding... Never have heard back on one of them.. That's one of the things I don't like about this secret ID bidding. A seller can have a buddy toss in bids, and if it doesn't go over the reserve there's no end user fees to pay. I think ebay is helping the dishonest sellers....

I'm in a warmer climate, but it's still not the greatest riding weather... wet... so the bikes sit for long periods. I do start them and let them warm up. Keep in mind that if you're not using a battery tender, and have a wetcell battery, the stator will only put out above 2500RPM, and idling will draw the battery down. It also takes about 45 minutes of riding to replace the amps used during starting... read that somewhere.... I also use touch to make sure the motor get's up running temp. Feel the clutch and middle gear covers to make sure that the oil gets hot...not just the water temp.

What ever you willing to bid on it up to Kelly Bluebook value......... Right now it's a buyers market. Let your conscience be your guide.... Just looked at it and it's sitting at $9,600, and the reserve hasn't been met. Kelly trade in is $8,200, and the suggested dealer retail is $11,500. In this market $10,500 is about right, but I bet the reserve is closer to retail....
