There were quite a few neat 'little' cars available in the late 50's to mid 60's. Here's one that most people have never even heard of. Lloyd. I owned a '59 and it was my primary transportation while going to college. Air cooled 30hp, 5sp, front wheel drive, 35mpg. Drove the 'H' out of it for 5 or 6 years. Bought it brand new for $999 out the door. I might also add I don't think I could get in one now.... Was a lot skinnier back then....

I have two Bushtec hitches. One on the '91 that the PO welded a square receiver to under the tang, and the other that came off Texaskid's '89 that he didn't have any need for. I called Bushtec to see about picking up a ball for the pin. They no longer support either style hitch.

I'm getting too old to wrestle an old heater. This is the second motor I've had to put in. The last one was 30 years ago. I did the work then. I did ask the guy what it would run to replace the whole thing. $2200!! Opted for the motor for the time being....

I would think the flexibility keeps it from cracking. I have given some thought to fitting a plywood/carpet floor in mine... Anyone know what the box material is on a Piggy??

My furnace blower motor cr@pped out during the last cold snap we had out here. Went down to SAM's and picked up one of those space heaters to knock the edge off the temp., and then I called a local HVAC business and they came out and repaired it. $325 bucks but dang that thing puts out..... It's only money..... BTW the furnace is 50 years old.

My question is why would you want to spray the inside of a Piggy Backer in the first place?? The material is pretty dent proof already. I would think somesort of indoor/outdoor carpet would be a better choice unless you planed on hauling rocks or old engine parts.... ???

Yep, years ago I remember seeing small 8" boat trailer tires littering the desert highway from L.A. down to the Colorado River. 100+ degs and 80 miles an hour will eat them up. I don't feel like crunching the numbers, but can you emagine what the rpm of those small tires is at 80mph.....

Since the '83 doesn't have a CB, any OEM antena without the center load will work. Actuall it's nothing more than a stainless whip. The nice thing about picking up an OEM is that it will have the fold down base to clear for a cover. BTW a center load will work too, but they usually bring more money on Ebay.

Amps won't boil a battery. Volts will. Keep the volts under 13.4vdc and you'll be OK.

I think it's a scam.... Any seller that blows smoke like that in the discription, and then posts below how hard they try to be accurate in their discriptions, and is a private seller, and requests a $500 pre-paid deposit right away, and has a legalese disclaimer is scamming.... IMHO....

That surcharge for delivery goes to the pizza place, not to the delivery person. The tip was the only extra the guy made over his minum wage unless a tip was added to the total. I think it's a crock.
