  1. Maybe pick one up that's shorter and wider with a vent?? The vent will lessen the low pressure buffeting..... ??

  3. Yeah, that's what I kinda thought too.....

  5. Just for the heck of it, take the clutch presure plate off and try the lever again with finger pressure on the rod tip. If the rod moves in and out freely your problem isn't with the master or slave. If the lever is still stiff then the problem is in the master/slave hydralics. Also just for the heck of it, while you have the plate off, take one of those pencil thin 'lost nut retreaver' magnets. Kinda looks like an antenna with a small gimbled magnet on the end. They have them at auto supply stores. With this you can remove the rods and ball without having to push them through from the slave side. The rods and ball are steel and the surrounding block is aluminum, so it will work. Examine the rods and ball for any damage. Nicks, burrs, bent.... Any damage, replace them or they will bind. If they're OK then put them back in, but before sticking them in, inspect the rod tips. One tip will have a slightly flattened surface. This tip goes against the ball. Both rods have one flattened end. Assuming the hydralics are OK, double check the positioning of notches on the discs and plates are all alligned, and then replace the pressure plate making sure it's installed in the correct position. It only fits on one way. Keep rotating it untill the plate settles down on the disc pack. I'm suspecting that you have the pressure plate installed in the wrong position. If there isn't any return pressure on the slave the fluid will build up pressure and not let the excess fluid return to the reserve. Anyway check all these things out and I bet your clutch will be working again.... Here's a couple picks that may help. It's a barnet clutch plate but it fits the same way. 6. I feel your pain Don. Been there.. Instead of taking anything for the PITLBT I've been trying to control it by diet and lots of water. So far so good except I have to pee a lot... Motrin will help cut down the swelling when things get really bad. What I've been wondering is if it's crystals in the joints why can't they lance the area... can't hurt any worse... and liposuck the stuff out... Better than cutting the big toe off... pain makes you creative thinking up stupid ideas...
  7. Did you remove the push rods and ball while you were in there. If you did you might have reinstalled them wrong. On the rods there's a small flat spot on one end. It goes against the ball. Otherwise the rods will bind when pressure is applied. You might also have assembled the basket nut out of sequence. Don't ask me how I know that...
  8. If I only had the bucks I'd be there... Sorry about the one 'n' in Annie. Dang keyboard drops the second letter if I hit the key too fast. Didn't notice the misspell until it was too late....
  9. In the original tool kit, supplied with the bike when new, there's a spark plug tool that works just fine. Some of the guys use a thin wall 15mm or 18mm socket??, but I've never been able to find one. If you didn't get the OEM kit there are 2ndGen tool kits available on Ebay. I've picked up a couple pretty cheap. The plug socket will fit all years of the Venture 1st and 2nd... The 2ndGen kit doesn't come with a lot of the tools that were supplied with the 1stGen, but it makes a good basic kit to build on.
  10. Nope, just the front lowers....
  11. Yep, I googled Michael Paul Smith, and the cars from what I can gather are those from Franklin, but.... the gist of most of the google hits were about his photography, and for that he's amazing. http://www.boingboing.net/2010/02/02/fantastic-photograph.html And I guess if he bought the models they were his. I didn't see anywhere where he claimed to have made them.....
  12. Had to do a little digging, but see if this'll work... href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/24796741@N05/sets/72157604247242338/show/with/2346008881/" title="Photos of my models" target="_blank">Photos of my modelsa>

  21. OK, I thought he might have been talking about reserve covers... Wadda I know....
  22. I run an HP Photosmart C4450 all-in-one... no fax because I never use it... Does a dynamite job scaning, coping, and printing. Since I don't print on a daily basis one black cartridge will last a year and the color will last about two. Bought it at Sam's for $60 bucks. Cartridges are a little pricy, but I don't care because I don't buy them very often, and only one at a time. It seems every time I buy a bunch of ink the printer craps out and I go printer shopping, and have all these NOS cartridges laying around. I'm really pleased with the print and scan quality of the HP. Years ago I bought a used HP500 laser..$4000 new.. for $500 bucks that had no options at all. It printed in B&W only and one font, but it did it very well. Lasted about 4 years til the feed mechanism wore out. Afterwords I started buying anything I could find that was cheap. I figure at the price of these printers nowadays it's almost easier to buy one a year and when the ink runs out throw it away and buy a newer one since the replacement ink cost more than the printer. But I ramble....
  23. Trying to figure out what covers you're talking about John?? If they are for the reserves post a pic of what style you have.... 2ndGen?..1stGen?...or something else...
  24. The PSA is a good way to detect PC, but it's not absolute. My PSA rose to 9 something about 5 years ago, and we decided to keep an eye on it with 6 month blood tests. It went back down to 6 and then rose up into the 13 area. That's when they decided to do the biopsy. No cancer was detected with the bio. The rise in PSA is attributed to an enlarged prostate which is quite common in men over 50. I still have the yearly PSA test, sometimes more often if the opertunity arises, but feel a lot less aprehensive about the PSA level. While in Cody Kurt's (Starstruck) father was dying of PC and his PSA level was up in the 300 range.
  25. It called pattina....
