  1. Tapes??? They take tapes???
  2. HEY!!! My tape deck is faster than your tape deck....
  3. DITTO.....
  4. This whole process had me a bit confoosed as we don't have that problem with 1stGens. Then my evil little mind went to work and from what I can gather the inside tube extends down a few inches into the 2ndGen tank, letting it build presure once the fuel reaches the bottom of the tube, until it wants to relieve itself. So I got it.... Now the question is why do many holes? One on the high side when the bike is leaning aught to do it???
  5. This post eally got me to daydreaming. I think it would be very cool to have a 1stGen completely dressed out in carbon fiber. I played around on Google and came up with this LINK to a manufacturer that already makes a few parts for the R6. No one ofs here... but if I had the bucks....
  6. Fingers and toes....
  7. Where's Squeeze....
  8. Another thing that no one has addressed yet, is the moisture dripping out of the exhaust is normal when first fired up. After the engine is up to running temp it will disappear, however you should be able to hold your hand in the exhaust flow and 'feel' the moisture as it hits your hand. It indicates a well tuned engine. Good luck finding the 'twinkle'... There is a water jacket plug back behind each the spark plugs that will 'twinkle' when the 'O' rings get stiff and hard with age. Keep an eye on that area while doing the pressure test.
  9. I did a google search for SD Cassette> and came up with all sorts of hits. Looks like they retail for anywhere between $15.00 to $30.00. Very cool....
  10. Hey, ease up youse guys.... it was a bomb.... http://www.history.navy.mil/ac/bikini/95129c.jpg
  11. Got my fingers and toes crossed....
  12. Hey... I understood it.... ribbit...ribbit...
  13. Yep, that's it.... What's your address.....
  14. Just got thru watching a recording of the Olympic Opening from last night. Lasted too late for this old guy. Anyway I was blown away by the production... The only thing I missed was the lightening of the torch. Did anyone here stay up to see if they got the glitch fixed? My recording chopped off the end due to the time over run. What ever happened, great job CANADA....:thumbsup2:
  15. They used to make a cassette insert with a plug to your CD player. They might have something to work with your MP3. Time marches on... except with Yamaha....
  16. Here's the link for $22.46. TAPECOVER
  17. Any of the VentureLine accessories have been out of production for a long time. I have been watching Ebay, and Hess4less did post two of them last year. One was on a fairing and the other was new in the baggy. I put a ridiculously high snipe bid on the NOS, and figured I no one would be as stupid as me, and I owned it... And was still outbid by a guy in Norway?? Disappointing to say the least. I just thought that maybe one of the VR members might have one laying around. Like I said it never hurts to ask.....
  18. And it absolutely amazes me that folks will bid way over that amount for a well used one on Ebay.....
  19. OK, you never know unless you ask. I need a piece of chrome for the '91. I don't care if it's bent, rusted, etc. As long as it's in one piece. It's number #11 in the attached pick of accessories. When I bought the bike it was already missing, and my guess, from the condition of the fairing, it was lost during the big drop?? Anyway I have the left side and could sure use the right side to keep the bike from falling over.... So if anyone has seen or might have one laying around on an old upper right, and would like to part with it, shoot me a price. Thanks. http://www.cast-aways.com/QUICKY/access3.jpg
  20. I have the EBC rotor on the '91. No squeels. It was on there when I bought the bike. I don't know what the PO used, but did you use any anti-squeel goop between the pistons and the pads??
  21. That's interesting. I use the 1" magnums on my 1" 1stGen case guards and they don't slip a bit. No need to shim. I thought the 2ndGen case guards were slightly larger. 1 1/8" ?? Maybe they are only 1"????
  22. Reruns are going to keep them around for a long time.....
