Looks like the Motorola Tundra might be one to search for. Sounds fairly bullet proof. Thanks for the idea...

Dang Earl, thanks for the lead. Yamaha sure is proud of their's. I'm off to Kawasaki to pick up a few sets for my stash....

Yeah, I've run into that before on my son's phone, and thought it was just a basic freebe phone, but all the AT&T phones do use simms... at least in my price range... . I think T-Mobile does also. It seems like when I find one that's unlocked for AT&T, T-Moble is also included...

That diaphragm is one assembly, and what's happened is the brass keeper has worked it way loose and the whole thing has come apart. It can be put back together and if you deform the brass keeper enough it will stay in. I've run into a couple of them that have done this. You might check the others as well. If you have trouble getting the diaphragm lip back into the groove try boiling it in water for 10-15 minutes. Makes them more plyable, and they seem to stretch a bit.... BTW to check for holes in the diaphragms hold them up to bright sunlight...

What Earl said, plus a plug that's only firing occasionally causing the backfiring. These V4's will run pretty good on 3 cylinders.... You might also want to check the vacume bib caps for cracks and air leaks.

Once the original contract runs out the service just continues until you upgrade your phone, then it's another 2 years. Buy a better unlocked phone and stick in the simms, and you're good to go without a contract. My last Nokia got wet, and I must admit I bought another basic model off Ebay, and stuck in the card. Eventually they.. i guess... pinged the phone and picked up the new model and changed the account to reflect the new equipment. I really don't care about all the glitzy features. Just the basics. I did find a NIB Nokia the same as mine in... pink..natch... for $69.95 on Ebay that I'm going to toss a bid at. I feel much more comfortable buying NOS then some refurb or used phone.

OK, my 15 y.o. daughter has distroyed 2 'el cheepo' LG AT&T freebe cell phones. The first was just barely replaced under warantee, but now the warantee has expired and the second is hanging on by a thread. She's a texting machine. I've looked at Ebay, but don't trust the sellers. She's also not eligible for some type of phone upgrade until next november thru AT&T. I don't know squat about all these new gizmo cells available on the market, and wonder if anyone could suggest a model that won't break the bank, and that's good to use with texting??? HELP.....!!!

Root canals... What a PITA. I've had 4 or 5?? And so far have lost 3 of them... So I paid to have the roots and crowns... the last crown was gold and it lasted a year..., then paid to have the extractions, then they wanted me to pop for a bridge..... I told them to take a hike. What they fail to tell you is the tooth will deteriorate over time and the root isn't permanent. I think it's a scam... Next time I need something done I'm going to La Paz Mex.

NOPE!!!!! Another thing is those pics are from a year ago.. Lots of things can happen in a year.. And it ain't an RSV.

You paid way too much for that thing.... However out of the goodness of my heart, I'll take it off your hands if you'd like to get your money back.....

Shouldn't be too hard to have the plastic intakes chromed. I think there's someone on the board that either does it or knows someone who does. I have a set on the '83... #12 on the pic....that look sorta OK, but could use a rechrome. As far the #11 edge trims go, they may be a little tougher to make. They look like they're a chromed tin stamping. Attached is a pic of all the pages. http://www.cast-aways.com/QUICKY/access5.jpg http://www.cast-aways.com/QUICKY/access6.jpg -
Yep... Me too... I put put the value at $3500-$4000, and that's still getting close to the price of a clean '99RSV. A nice '99 silver just sold on Craigs for $4700obo

rear air suspension
Condor replied to breezelasbre73's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
That's interesting. I never paid any attention to it before, but my manual says the same thing. I run the CLASS pressures on the auto/hi setting since I pack a lot of weight on the bike, and the front stops pumping at 17psi and the rear stops at 71psi. Never tried to go any higher as I figured that was it. I wonder if I can go higher using the manual setting???- 12 replies

I just take them to a professional polisher. $40 bucks and they look liked they're chrome. And I don't even get dirty. Another alternative, if you want to keep them looking stock, is soak them in acetone. The yellow grunge will come off in about 15 minutes. The surface will look like new. Reshoot them with a clear metal spray to seal them back up. Unless you plan on polishing them yourself, I'd suggest not using any abrasive type material to clean them off. You'll get scatches everywhere. There was a thread about using baking soda as a blaster medium that sounds like it might work.....

Interesting place. Data was a little outdated and incomplete. They didn't have my name listed under my birthday... , but a great place to go if you're bored...

OK, I won't think about asking how ya know...... So without thinking how'd ya Know??? :rotfl: -
Another possibility are wheel bearings. I had a slight buzz at high speeds. Put in new bearings and problem solved.....

I don't do a lot of novel reading, but I did enjoy all the James Mitchner historical/fiction books. For some reason they capture my imagination.....
