Taking a load off........I love LED's!!

Looks like it'd pull a tank Dan. One question. Is the ball tang permanently welded on or is it removable? OK two questions. If it's removable where is the pin to keep it from pulling out?? -
Nice job Dave.. I can relate to trunk clutter. Get's me to thinkin'....

If you're using Windows XP here's a utility that can be downloaded. PIC RESIZER It's great and easy to use...

Have 83 VR handlebar options?

1-1/8" will work. I think it's 28mm, but not absolutely sure. -
Ok, so make 'm 150#'s... I think you get the picture.....

Here's what I'm driving at. Think about gravational pull wanting to make the bike fall toward the pivot axis, and centrifical force wanting to throw you away from the pivot axis. Without changing the speed between a light rider (125#) and a heavier rider (350#) will the heavier rider tend to be overcome by gravation at the same speed? The reason I'm curious is I seem to take curves with a greater lean angle when riding in a group or with another rider and our speeds are equal. Maybe it's more noticable when riding with a 2ndGen with a lower center of gravity. When comparing two up with solo do you take the curves at a different speed to compensate for the gravational effect?? I donno. Any physics majors around??

Thanks for the link Mike. As soon as the '91 issues get ironed out.... yep it's gonna be this summer or else... I've gotta do something about all the Baron's on the thing. It has more lights than a Christmas tree. Prices look very good. Maybe this project won't break the bank.... -

After the first ride in 100+ temps you'll know why they're there..... -
I've been using this Harbor Freight guage on my tires and it works pretty good. The tip will push down and lock on the stem threads. The '83 doesn't have a right angle on the rear but with a little finagling I can get it on. Once it's on it's a piece of cake... The '91 has the rt.angle, and it's a no-brainer...

It shouldn't cause any problems. Carefull you don't overfill to where it'll cause foaming. On the amount. There are a lot of nooks and cranies where old oil will remain after draining and you may not need to fill to factory specs. Put in 3 quarts and then fill to the middle of the inspection window a bit at a time.

We've lived in this house for close to 40 years, and another thing I've been seeing this year is Turkeys everywhere. We're having a friggin' wild Turkey explosion!! I saw two on the side of the freeway yesterday miles from any habitat...

I have all three types. Mesh with a liner and armor, leather, and fabric with liner and armor. I like the fabric best. Warm enough in the winter and cool enough with the vents open for summer, and the most comfortable.

Glad to see you made it OK. Lot to be said about staying south....

MKI to MKII rear brake upgrade problem

The next time try using 3M 5200 caulk. That stuff will stick to anything and it will not come loose... yet will stay plyable. I generally have to use a hacksaw on the stuff to remove a deck fitting off a boat. Not fun.. 2-part Epoxy will form a hard material that will crack with stress. Just my 2 cents... -
Here's what I'm curious about... When running in the twisties does a heavier rider need to lean into the curve more than a light rider to maintain zero effect and balance at the same speed taking into consideration the static weight of the bike?? Hey it's raining...whadija expect...

Being a cheap sort I just velcro'd a handheld Cobra WX38 CB to the panel above the CLASS on the '83. Cost me about $50 bucks off Ebay. I'd love to have a J&M but my wallet keeps saying no..no..no......

Hate to be the devils advocate here, but that doesn't excite me one bit. Yawn. When I can log on and see 100+ viewing the Water Hole in the AM, then I'll get excited....

There was an after market CB for the MKI's. Qual-Comm...or something like that.... You see them pop up on Ebay on occassion. Designed to be a plug and play and fit right in the panel in front of the CLASS.
