  1. I'da raised my hand, but I just don't listen to much of anything while riding and they'd just be wasted on me.... Hope someone is interested....
  2. But it would be clean..... And maybe have diner too....
  3. Dave, Witchta is probably the closest major to Kingman. I checked the KS listings and found 6 or 7 expired members listed. I'd try to comtact one of them about a look see.... Looks like the bike might have potential....
  4. OK,... so now don't laugh.... I just got an Email from Lowell about a cucumber working to eliminate steam on a bathroom window. Wonder if a couple of slices might work on the windshield.
  5. Yep.... Time for fresh blood.....
  6. Yep.... Now if we'd only have another national there......
  7. 'Bout $8500.....
  8. With all the comments about different oil formulas to get rid of the whine, has anyone ever tried adding a little STP?? Haven't seen or heard of it for a long while now. Does it still exist, or am I showing my age??? I guess it still does, but it don't look like it used to.... STP OIL TREATMENT
  9. Most American made antenna's take a 3/8"x16 fitting. I just thought you could have punched out the bracket to a 3/8ths hole and come up through the bottom with 3/8x1" screw. You can also attach the co-ax by splitting the core and shield and solder them to eye terminals and eliminate the PL259 connectors like those used on Monty's bike.... Some CB antennas need to be tuned by adjusting the tip above the load. Some antennas are pretuned via the length of the co-ax which is unfortunately way too long to have run all over the bike.
  10. I guess when they stuff the new V-Max motor into a new cruising bike it'll have FI..... Problem solved...
  11. They do look good, but my question is why they didn't fit directly to the OEM bracket instead of having to offset them?? And is the Harley CB tunable??
  12. Hey Todd... Got your cell phone message about the throttle cable. You were really breaking up so only caught bits and pieces of what you were saying. Kinda thought you were local and was ready to climb on the horse and come rescue you. White hat and all.... Anyway to answer your question about undoing the cables, the only way I've been able to do it is by removing the carbs, and it's a PITA. If anyone has a better way com'on over and show me 'cause I ain't gonna believe it until I see it in person. My suggestion would be to rent a trailer if someone on this board doesn't offer one up, and take it home. If you're pulling a trailer renting may be the only way to go to get one long enought to handle both units. Good luck.....
  13. Glad to hear you're doing better. BTW those damn lid covers were invented by women to make sure the lids is always down..... Makes it a PITA for the guys...
  14. Geeze Dan, If you value your life don't put any volital solvent in an ultrasonic cleaner.
  15. So far it sounds like a whole lot of over engineering. Just take a drill with about a 5/16" bit and drill the head of the phillips off. You may need to go to 3/16" to get it clean down to the top of the threads. The reserve top will lift right off. Afterwards take a visegrip and remove the stud. Takes all of 2 minutes.....
  16. Here in Ca. lane splitting is legal since there isn't a law that says it's illegal. That said I've never split lanes.... no guts. 'Specially with a big body sitting on top of another big body cruiser. And damn those gaps look like a tight squeeze.. Then I got caught up in a traffic jam on a major street last week. Two lanes merging into a double left hand turn lane, and one of the turn lanes was closed. Traffic was backed up a half mile. After sitting for a bit, and thinking it's going to be a bunch of red lights before ever getting to the turn, I swung out to the outside with the idea I'd take a detour around the mess. As I got closer to the light I could see breaks in the traffic, and so said what the heII and dove back into line and made it through the light. Man did I feel guilty.... Would I do it again or ride the shoulder.... you bet!! Anything's better than sitting on a hot bike in traffic...
  17. I wish you were in the biz too. Then you could pay the load on keeping a full blown dealership's doors open instead of a warehouse in the middle of Utah. Then I can biatch and moan about paying the higher price, because they don't compare to that warehouse, while you sign your overhead checks every month.... Next time you take a ride try to stick close to home so you can save a few bucks by ordering over the internet. I like to shop as much as the next guy, but when circumstances rear up and bite you in the a$$, pay the money, and move on with life instead of complaining how badly your were treated..... You're not getting any sympathy here..
  18. So, I guess they should give their stuff away?? Rename the place Free-B Yamaha, and loose their a$$.... but that's OK they can make it up in volume..... http://www.cast-aways.com/CONDORPICS/Sam-Side.jpg
  19. OUCH!! That'll teach you to point fingers.....
  20. I think Dingy sits on this board 24/7 and constantly hits the NewPosts button. He needs to go work on his bike.....
  21. I really don't see a big problem with the charges. The tire is higher than Jake Wilson, but your comparing the price to the lowest priced national dealer on the web. So the guy made $70 bucks. I think it's a small price to pay to get out of a jam... Did you try to see if the E3 could be waranteed??
  22. I think OEM windshields are still available through the dealer....
  23. There's a static choke mounted on the wall in front of the amplifier. Check to see if you have one and if you do it might be bad. There's also an antenna splitter mounted on the back of the CB. Check the connection for the radio, and at the other end which connects to the amp....
  24. I'd tend to think it's a connection too. Since you can restart the bike after it cools down there's a dirty connector thats expanding and loosing contact.... Have you checked the ground connection on the frame down by the starter/water pump??
