  1. A heavy Sea foam mix has a tendency to foul plugs.
  2. Any weekend will work for me. Sadly at 2400 miles one-way I'm going to have to pass for another year.....
  3. With or without wheels??...... Or in a bike show??
  4. Good for him. Out here Arnold rides a trike and bumps into things...
  5. That's pretty common on AZ bikes. To bad they didn't at least toss a cover over it. Sounds like it had some neat stuff added. Wonder why they let'r go like that?? Personally, as long as it runs good, I'd think about throwing a paint job at it.
  6. So what did you do for a CB antenna??
  7. I just took a look at the spare I have, and that hex does loosen counter clockwise. If yours just spins you may have busted off what ever holds it on the inside. Wish I could be more helpfull, but I don't want to go places I don't need to go. I've been giving serious thought to putting mine on Ebay and don't want to screw anything up....
  8. In the Hard Water commercial it lasts about 3 seconds and is of a ride by with Nina stretching her arms out to the side. I did post a couple of pics. I haven't run across the Cambells Soup commercial yet, but apparently you are making the rounds....
  9. Now take it down to your local auto parts store and have them put a load on it....
  10. It's for the life time of your device, and the way GPS's bite the dust that's not very long. Now if it were for any device it would be a deal... And if the marketing department actually thought about it a bit, it would instill product loyalty. But what do they know.... I wouldn't waist the money... And I wonder why I didn't get that notice?? Mine's registered with Garmin...
  11. 12volts on any battery means it's almost dead. You should be getting 12.6-12.9vdc. I think a new battery in in order. Check with Bohanon about the Deka ETX18L. $82.95 ask for Jason, tell them you're with VentureRiders, and I think shipping is free.
  12. Get ahold of Rick at Buckeye. That's where I picked up a batch of them. Double check but I'm pretty sure the part number is: 90480-13398-00 or 90480-13014-00(repl) $2.30 $1.59
  13. Gotta ask the question. You may have mentioned it and if you did I missed it. When the idle started to increase could you get it back down using the idle adjustment knob?? Or was the knob ineffective?? What sometimes happens is the previous owner will attempt to adjust the idle and mistakenly screw in the #1 sync screw. It actually will increase the idle, but what happens is #1 becomes the benchmark carb and really screws things up. I just ran into a bike that even though I backed off all the sync screws by what I felt was enough, #1 was still way in, and the idle still could not be adjusted with the knob. I finally backed the screw way off in order to get the idle knob to work, then went ahead and sync'd the carbs and everything balanced out nicely. Be forewarned. I wouldn't recommend using mercury sync sticks as the balance on the right side gets so far out you'll suck the mercury out of them.
  14. Of course it is.... Don't want to give away all the secrets... ain't editing great....
  15. Nah... Have Boomer send you one of his pixies.....
  16. OK, after double checking Russel's size of the ball stud it turns out to be 5/16"thread with a 10mm ball. It can be found at McMaster-Carr and is Sku#9512K73. Attached is a pic, and it makes the best replacement I've seen, and it's because of Russ's diligent searching... Many Thanks..
  17. You have to do a little gringing on them to get them to fit. Here's a shot of the 91's... They look more like star conchos that were on there when I bought the bike...
  18. Takes less than 5 minutes....
  19. The puppy just kept sliding huh??
  20. Condor

    back rest

It would probably be cheaper to by a Markland.

    back rest

I'm pretty sure they don't make mounts that will adapt that back rest to an '83-'85 MKI. Only time I've seen them is on a MKII..... Good luck in your search, and Cheers back atcha.....
  22. The only time I get hit with the timed out is when I take too long entering the neccessary info. It's been a long time since I picked up mine so the memory fades as to what's needed. The idle speed isn't all that important, just as long as it's not set way low. Idle within reason and sounding good is OK. It's not really a problem with the 2ndGens as much as it is with the 1stGens that have been bought used, since the idle adjustment screw is right out there in front of God and everybody, but if the idle screw doesn't effect rpm let me know and I'll send you a longer instruction write up on how to deal with it. With 1stGens previous owners who don't have a clue on where to adjust the idle start turning all the sync screws and can really mess things up... Don has a nice write up on syncing the 2ndGens in the tech section.
  23. Yep he sure can.....
  24. I just picked up 2 E3's for the '99 from Jake Wilson. $210 sitting on the porch. Took the bike to my local Y dealer and had them mounted and balanced for $90... $300 total. Not to bad...
