  1. You're not going to like the price... The last time I looked it was about as much as a used Royale. $800 bucks. I think he's saying he doesn't want to build them any longer, but will if someone wants to pony up the money...
  2. You going to get a ton of suggestions.... and here's one more. A Kodak CD82 12mp Easyshare. I just picked up one off WOOT for $39.95. I like it a lot and I've had some very expensive point-n-shoot digitals over the years. The only draw back, if you want to call it that, is that it doesn't have a rechargable battery. It takes AA's. I think it's a good thing as I don't need to baby sit a bunch of batts. Toss in a pack or two of AA's and your good to go. Run out and they can be found everywhere. With an SD card it takes video longer than I care to stand there. The images are terrific. Sharp and snappy. The image screen is one of the biggest I've run into so far. This thing is simple to run, and turns out high quality photography.
  3. And they look awesome!! Kind of like making a silk purse out of a Piggy's ear.... That's also what started my thinking about replacing my 8's and couldn't find them anywhere.....
  4. Those alloys replacements were for the 12" wheels. I think a handling issue caused the replacement. 12" alloys are available all over the place. And yes the PB's are a 4 lug. That should be a style along with the 5 lug. MOF I hardle ever see an 8" in 5 lug. I've had a set of white 5 lug in the garage forever and have never found a trailer I could use them on.... until this latest one.. I did find 4 lugs for golf carts but they were too wide. IF the time came I did think about giving one of those company's a shout since they were already half way there...
  5. Never. 'Course I don't own one either....:rotf:
  6. Most of the time we get telephone calls from some kid in a boiler room feigning his sales call as a survey. I usually ask for their name and address. They ask why, and I tell them I need to know where to send the invoice. As a business consultant I charge $300/hr with a two hour minimum. They always hang up... Love it!!
  7. I can thank the PO for showing that switch to me. Otherwise they'd still be on. The only time I ever used them on the '83 was when traveling out in the middle of nowhere at night, and the same holds true for the '99. Can't see much use for them in the daytime... I know someone will chime in with all the benefits of being seen, but the head light is enough for me. I don't want anyone to see me... I want to keep an eye on them... Day dream on a scoot and it will become a nightmare...
  8. Joe, I think Pinwall has a Pillow Top driver on Ebay right now.....
  9. It's an inside joke. You need to read the board posts a little more. Where's your sense of discovery... I've only had one account that dates back just as far. Sense you know the drill it's time to go find some cheap Kuryakyn highway pegs.... on Ebay...
  10. How many members pulling one of the Piggy Backers, or any other brand that takes an 8" 5-bolt wheel would be interested in buying a set of machined aluminum wheels for their trailer? Also, in your opinion, what kind of a market do you think might be out there? I've checked everywhere and I can not find a manufacturer that makes them. Worldwide... I did find a company on the web in China that might be interested in making them, but rather than even talking to them about it I thought I'd see what others might think. Just because I'd like to find a set doesn't neccessarly mean there would be a big market... Whatcha think??
  11. Yep, we all have that problem except Boomer... he's got pigmy infestation.... On the Kurykyn i have to agree with you. Pricy from a dealer... But... all is not lost. I've picked up every bit of mine off Ebay. Some of the Ebay stuff is a little on the high side, but on the clean used items you can save a bunch...
  12. Not your fault the pics did show up... They did for me this morning tho-??... I teetering on picking up a set. I can always go back if I don't like them, and they aren't that expensive....
  13. I can't shift without using the clutch. After fifty years of riding it just doesn't seem right not to. It's tatoo'd on my brain's frontal lobe... That said I can still snap through the gears with the best of 'm....
  14. Went to your link and all I get are red X's for the pics. If I do a sort for '1100 CHROME LENSES' I get three hits and the small gallery pic is there, but as soon as I hit the link to view the auction I get the red's again. Anyway..... how do these show up in the daytime. I would think that in direct sunlight they're glare a bunch... Are they legal??
  15. I know of this little parts salvage place down in Sacramento if you want to donate the '86....
  16. I liked that. To bad they didn't do a fly by with the engines horizontal...
  17. Go to Rivco for the adapter. http://www.rivcoproducts.com/~rivcopro/products/product.php?productid=93&cat=431&page=1 Go to Kuryakyn for the highway pegs. http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go/Home.Products/catID/18/scID/53 The exhaust collector may not be do-able, but if you succeed let us know. BTW you engine guards are 1" not 7/8ths....
  18. Man youse guys are a tough crowd.... Here's the only self portrait you're going to get....
  19. Yeah, I've been using it for years. You get 3 free posts a week and that seems to be about all I need most of the time. Sometimes I don't bid for weeks, but sometimes I wish there were more than the 3.... The count refreshes every Sunday night, and I've found that once a snipe is cue'd it will carry over into the next week, and you'll get another 3 on the refresh. So there is a possibility of having 6 active... Back in the old days I used to sit at the computor timing the end with a sweep second hand on the wall clock, but those days are long gone. Don't think my heart can take it any longer... I bought my F250 4x4 off Ebay while having breakfast up at the Waffle Barn....
  20. Actually it probably would. I think it's nothing more than acetone....
  21. I use one of these cargo nets on the scoot and have been asked where I found it. I couldn't give an answer as it came along for the ride on one of the bikes. Well here it is. If anyone is interested. http://www.harborfreight.com/motorcycle-cargo-net-67010.html http://www.harborfreight.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/370x/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/i/m/image_1985.jpg
  22. Power connections would be the first place I'd look....
  23. I use that stuff too. I usually place some tape over the paint side of the crack to keep it from messing the paint up. For fractures there's nothing better...
