  1. I just ordered 6 bike covers off Ebay from China. They came in about 2 weeks. I've also pick up camera batteries from time to time. Same thing. I've never failed to receive what I ordered. On the other hand I bought 3 HDMI cables from some guy down around San Diego because he was close and I needed them right away. 6 weeks later.... nothing. So I filed a non delivery with Ebay and received a refund, bought a couple from Fry's Electronics for a few bucks more, and the 3 pak arrived 2 weeks later. 2 months in transit for 400 miles. I figured screw it and kept them....

    road trip

It all depends on what time of the year you're making the trip. If it's in the next couple of months stay as far south as possible....

  4. That was quick. If anyone's interested I still have 1 brace that's not spoken for as well as the 2 that are reserved for members on the list.
  5. For dummy's like me you need to be more explicite..... I'll change it back.
  6. Couldn't get the link to work Rick..... Ya gotta get rid of the quote mark. "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9bQ_YiClYA
  7. Nice looking retro tach. I needed one in 2 5/8", but couldn't locate one so went with an Auto Meter Cycle Pro 19304.... So far so good.
  8. I only got them on one particular website, so figured it was something new to the site. Every time I'd click on a link an ad would pop up in another tab. Kill it and I'd be where I wanted to go. I attributed it to the website then my firewall did an auto scan, and they disappeared. Life goes on.
  9. Testosterone overload and big cajones.... Put 'm together and you never know what they'll do.

    Key Please!

If I remember correctly the 1stGen's have the code on the back of the ignition, not sure about the 2ndGen. If you have the key, take it to a locksmith and have another cut. You might also check with your local Y dealer to see if they have any blanks...
  11. Not long at the current buying power value.....
  12. Reading the drudge Report this morning and they had an article about the new $100 Franklin. Wonder how long it will take the bad guys to conterfit this one??
  13. 6 seems like a nice round number.....
  14. I donno... I don't think I have the cajones to do that. As a creature of habit... good and bad... it's possible I might get sidetracked and forget to pull it.... So it's only in the ignition when I'm on the bike....
  15. Dog Gone It!!! More bling... Very Cool.....
  16. Just a BUMP to let those members who said they'd be interested in a brace, know that I have them covered... if in fact they still are interested. Plus another 3 that are still looking for a 1stGen home. If you're on the list, and have changed your mind I understand, just ask that you please let me know. To those that have picked their's up already. Many Thanks!!!
  17. Very nice Annie. She's really tallented. Book marked her website. I'm thinking???......
  18. 26H usually denotes a part that hasn't eveolved since the original '83 Venture. However in this case I might be... gasp!!....wrong... I often wonder why someone hasn't tried installing the quieter 1stGen clutch basket in a whining/howling 2ndGen, since it might be a direct swap. Anyone physically done it yet? Rather than just comparing part numbers..
  19. I used to have the same problem with my '83. Fresh plugs, especially after running Sea Foam thru it, and a DEKA AGM battery took care of it. Generally a weak batt will not spin it fast enough to fire. It's old.....
  20. Good idea. I'd be interested in any difference....
  21. What ever Max psi is in the manual. .....
  22. The problem is that anywhere else other than where the OEM guage pick up is mounted, and you won't get an accurate reading. The best place is just before the coolant enters the radiator, and where the temp housing is on the RSV. That's why I'm so interested in using the existing sensor. I'm with ya on the warning light, but if I can keep the warning light operational it'll be the best of both worlds. It would be a big help. And yep it's going in 'that' pod. It'd be the same set up for my '99RSV. Thanks.
  23. 100% agree with you Don. However..... these new DEKA AGM's only discharge about 1% in a month. I've had extra Odyssey's sit in the corner of the office for 6 months and still get a 12.6vdc reading. Wet cells don't give anywher near that kind of performance.
