I've read about a couple of different places to splice in the trailer light pig-tail, but I still have one question. What do you use to do the splice. Those squeeze together quick splices, or bare wires with a heat shrink tubing cover?? I have a 5 wire on the trailer to match what's on the bike so I think a plug and play is out if anyone even makes one...

Hurt like an SOB. I think the tester had a little bit of masochism in her. About half way thru the second hand I said that's enough if she valued her life.... Since I outweighed her by about 300 pounds... and only weigh 325.... she stopped. I've now had both hands repaired and no more numbness while riding..... Before all this I couldn't go 3 blocks without the hands going to sleep.....

Welcome to the board George. I went thru Buckeye once on the way down to Gila Bend while doing the Pheonix by-pass. Picked up my '93 in Tucson and then visited a friend down in Benson for a bit. Don't think I'll be heading that way again for a while, but if the heat starts to get to you, you can always ride north in July to Cody for the International.

battery tender hook up
Condor replied to Sandbagger's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I might add that as low of an amperage that these tenders put out, running the negative thru a frame ground would even create more resistence and a lower tender rate. Battery posts are the only logical connection.... -

Tips for BUB slip ons
Condor replied to Richie R's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I took my tips to a shop here in town that professionally polishes metals. He ground the remaining chrome off, but admitted it was a PITA and wore out an 80 grit belt. Anyway the end product was really nice. I just dropped off a set of billet air filter covers and this time he's sending them out to a chromer to have them stripped. Here's a before and after. That is not chrome, but polished aluminum. -
Here in Sacramento we had a father and aquaintence, Manfred Kallweit, who sued his ex-wife to not smoke around his childern in her home. Attached is a copy of a petition in Mass. about childern exposed to smoking in the home. It's from this sight. http://ash.org/fostercarepetition.html He certainly stired up a bowl of worms.... There's lot's of info on the web about it. It may give you an opening. ©. CHILDREN AND TOBACCO SMOKE AT HOME: In at least fifteen states and several foreign countries, courts have held that, if parents subject children to tobacco smoke, it can be grounds for denial or even revocation of custody. 18 While most such legal proceedings have been brought by the nonsmoking parent, in several cases complaints were filed by relatives or outsiders such as physicians, 19 and willful exposure of children to tobacco smoke is increasingly being characterized as child abuse, child neglect, and/or reckless endangerment. 20 These cases show that judges regard the dangers of exposing children to tobacco smoke as serious enough to warrant termination of custody and visitation rights. It is only a matter of time before judges exhibit the same concern for foster children, 21 where the ultimate responsibility and blame for such exposure lies as much with the welfare agency and its personnel as with the foster parents, and where the agency is generally held to an even higher legal standard of care than natural parents. In summary, at least three rapidly growing areas of legal liability – constitutional and common law torts for knowingly subjecting prisoners to tobacco smoke pollution, damage actions under a variety of legal theories for adults subjected to tobacco smoke pollution in workplaces and public areas, and court orders protecting children from tobacco smoke pollution in custody, child abuse, and related situations – all strongly suggest similar results should a law suit be brought against the agency or agency officials on behalf of one of more foster children who suffer from asthmatic attacks, ear aches, or other medical problems after being placed in a foster home where authorities knew or should have known that smoking was taking place. In addition, the thousands of laws prohibiting smoking in an ever growing number of places [see II below] show a growing public recognition – of which courts may, of course, take judicial notice – of the clear and present dangers of tobacco smoke pollution, and the public necessity and reasonableness of prohibiting smoking, even though such restrictions may be costly and disruptive – as in bars and restaurants.

The only difference between yours and mine is I have a pilot light.... my heater is ancient.... When we loose power I just unplug it from from the wall and plug it into the generator, and it's always been enough amps to start the blower and heat the house. I've used everything from 400watt to 2000watt gensets.. All Hondas. Never a problem. Like already been mentioned it could be polarity. Another thing that comes to mind is what the genset is putting out in a current syne wave. It may be incompatable with the newer PC circutry???

No problem it'll go to Dave's. When in Arizona ya gotta go to the Grand Canyon. Australia has the big rock... we have the big canyon....

I just ordered an adapter cable from Bubby Rich that will allow me to plug my Garmin c550 Streetpilot GPS into the aux port. It includes an MP3 player and has bluetooth phone capabilities. I haven't installed it yet. It's gonna be interesting.... I might also add that the c550 has been discontinued by Garmin, but still available on Ebay. I have two of them. The last one cost me $65 bucks. Here's a link to the SPECS It the best bang for the buck in a GPS.

I'm gonna stay as far north as possible for Cody. Once across Nevada in 105° is enough. Although if it's cooler I might just boogy out I-80 to Green River Wy and turn left.....

Hi Annie, Spending 34 days on the East Coast, and I'm thinking that it might be better to send this GPS to Don in Oberlin so you can use it in the rental car.... unless it will already have a GPS?? You might also start asking about places to visit. Here's a few, but I bet there's a ton more to keep you entertained..... Niagra Falls.. Maid of the Mist ride.
