  1. Sometimes you can set the GPS to shortest distance, or avoid freeways,....or quickest route. Sometimes you can't?? When headed to Tucson I usually take the Phoenix cut off SR85 at Buckeye down to Gila Bend and I-8. Then East. Gets rid of all that Phoenix traffic.
  2. Here's one to keep you busy when not shoveling snow off the front porch. http://www.versuscountrybagamonsterbuck.com/
  3. Glad to hear you can work it out.
  4. Yep, you're getting old Rick... Hey, you popped the question..... :rotf:
  5. Perhaps you might want to re-read the CL prohibited link again. I don't know where you're reading the 'or purchasing' (sic) part of CL restrictions, but read my post again. It's a wanted ad. Not selling anything. So it doesn't fall under the craigslist prohibited items. Until they change their policy I have every right to place the ad.
  6. Actually those brackets are the hard part to find. The seller ends up taking the seat off the bike and forgets the brackets are still on the bike. Bye-Bye brackets. I've seen quite a few MKII back rests on Ebay listed without the brackets. If the guy you bought the backrest can't come up with the correct brackets I'd request a refund including 'ALL' shipping costs. Shipping the thing is not cheap.
  7. I wonder what it'll look like 6 months down the road?? I tried Armoral on my truck tires once... because I was young and dumb.... and the sidewalls turned an ugly brown after a bit. Now if I want a tire to look 'black' I use 'Soft Scrub' and a stiff brush. They end up looking like new. On the seats, and other leather parts, I use Farmans 'Leather New'.
  8. You have a friend in the toe/toe camp Rick... for the same reasons. With my big clodhoppers I hit that dang heel peg, and shift into neutral all the time, or end up in a higher gear and start lugging. A real PITA. I found a billet toe shifter on Ebay.... Without the heel peg I can move my foot around to different positions while on longer rides.
  9. Nope.... Just the cotter pins. You could pick up a couple hairpin style which are a lot easier to pull when you want to remove the back. http://www.mcmaster.com/#cotter-pins/=au2aen
  10. masochist!!!!
  11. Just went out and asked Miss Piggy... "Are you whining?" Miss Piggy.... "No Love, I don't whine" Me... "Just wondering, some Dude named 'Cam-bell' sez you do" Miss Piggy "Nah I b!tch and moan a bit, but I never whine....Muahh!" I think she loves me....
  12. Same thing here.... Picked up a toe/toe off Ebay. I did get used to the H/T, but it was the lifting and moving the foot back that was a PITA....
  13. Nah.... Cam-bells sounds better....
  14. B!tch...b!tch...b!tch..... So when'r ya installing a CTR Stand??? :rotf:
  15. Can you take a pic of what you have?? You may have been sold a MKI backrest.. I looked but can't find a pic of a MKII, but they are a fairly simple setup.. I'm sure someone else on the boards can supply one....
  16. And you know that... why??? Oh yeah, I remember...ask Vic. I personally wouldn't bother putting a rt angle stem on the front rim. It's easy to get to. Now the back is a different story..... I have never seen a 10mm stem, and can't imagine what they would be used for??..... It's an 8.....
  17. My thinking on this is.... the only time I monitor the CB is when traveling in a group..... so if can get out a half mile at the most I'll be happy. I'm not looking to shoot skip to Oz. This thread has gotten really off track from my original post, and I'm still looking for feedback from anyone who has upgraded their antenna's from the original OEM to the new style OEM. Maybe no one's ever done it before????
  18. Yep... Mine too.....
  19. 5:50PST Things are blasting right along if that helps any.... I did notice that it takes a while to upload a reply post. Editing save is very quick...??
  20. A little more info on a Marine Diesel tach. The last Teleflex I installed on a Yanmar Diesel Outboard had a magnetic pick up that read off the number of teeth on the flywheel.
  21. If you'd like to just replace the tip of your antenna you might try this source.... http://www.mcmaster.com/#type-303-stainless-steel-rods/=atexis
  22. Just what I was about to ask. I set an Autometer Pro-Cycle tach to the Harley setting and wondered if it was right for the '99RSV?? I haven't installed it yet, so I wasn't sure if it was right or not. Also wasn't sure what Goose had posted previously, but I guess I remembered right.
  23. It's my understanding the Ebay owns about 25% of Craigslist, and they also have a fee real estate/apartment rental site in the New York City area that pays the frieght. They also have a few folks that work for cheap. I use CL for buying and selling. Not very often, but enough to know the ins and outs. Scams are getting worse, but easy to recognize. I had one ammo wanted ad flagged over and over again by one jerk, so I just kept relisting it again as soon as the email flag notice was received. Since I had more time on my hands then he did, I wore him out. Got some great deals on rifle ammo and reloading equipment off CL. I think most of the flags are from 'pseuso' dealers who can't stand the competition.
  24. Sounds kinda like the wife's Peach Pizza. Mmmm!!!
  25. What's Sun?????
