On the price issue. The only thing I can suggest is watch the classifieds on this board or get real friendly with Ebay....- 27 replies

If it has a remote speaker option you can probably pick up a male2male cord at any Radio Shack.

I've run KnN's on all my 1stGens, but can't say that I felt any difference in response or power over OEM filters. My fuel milage seemed to get better by just a tad, but that's about it. I do have a set in my stash that will be going in the '99 when I get to it. The milage sucks, so maybe they will give me a better mpg.... ??

I tried that, but sometimes I nod off for hours at a time.....

Half empty is much better than empty..... -
I've been having problems with everything running slower than a cob lately, using i.e.8. House wifi was fine. Yesterday I downloaded Google Earth to play with, and inadvertantly picked the one with Google Chrome. I don't use Chrome, but now everything is running a warp speed using i.e.8. Haven't got a clue???

Where did he mount the gyro-stabilizer??

The system I have for the house was installed in 1958. An old Carrier compressor. I had it service once about 25 years ago, and a breaker replaced about 10 years ago. That tank is still doing it's job. Had a dealer come out and do an evaluation 10-15 years ago and he just said to run it until it dies.... As long as it's paid for and runing, buying a new one isn't going to be an economical decision even though it's not efficient.

clutch and brake levers for gorilla hands?

No problem for me... But then again I used to be able to palm a basketball.... It's kinda nice to have something that fits the big guy in the world of Mr. Average.... -

I'll wait for you to field test it, and get back here.... if you can... with a report.... Not sure I understand what a half empty glass..or half full.. has to do with questioning the safety of a tank location..... -
When I got mine, I swear to all that's holy, it didn't have the restricter tube you cut up and put in the lines. I wrote Morgan and they sent me another, and I recieved it in about 3 days. Drop them an email, you might be surprised....

Brake upgrade to R1/R6 calipers?
Condor replied to kbert777's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Most just replace the front calipers. That's were 80% of your braking is coming from. The way to tell the correct style R1/R6, is if you're on Ebay and looking at pics, the years that work are bolted from the side while the newer styles are from the top and look like a brick.... Trying to keep the correct years in you head will drive you nutz. The best way to check for dragging calipers is to go for a ride around the block and use the front only. Then check the rear caliper for heat. It should still be cool. If the pads are dragging they get fairly hot. -
Tomato...tomahto... But your point is well taken....

Don't see too many bikes getting t-boned. Most are rear ended, or they are the t-boner... I'd hate to be rear ended and trust that that tank on the luggage rack is going to stay together.... But that's just me, the eternal pessimist.... -
Try that on a 1stGen.....
-
You have to shoot them with hi-temp clear, or in about a year they'll start loosing their shine.... But..... even if they do dull up, it's very easy to bring the finish back with a good metal polish.

Scotty, I just picked up an extra 2003 final and I planned on sending it and a V-Max rear end off to have the gears swapped out. It's still in transit so I won't know what kind of shape it'll be in until I get it. I was mainly interested in the housing. Anyway maybe we can work out a trade. I wouldn't need to hve the work done and you'd be back to the OEM pumpkin... Let me know what you think?? -Jack

It would scare the crap outta me with a fuel tank hanging out in the breeze that way. I'd be even more paranoid about getting hit.... -
That's way cool.....

This thread is going to go political quicker than a rumor in DC....

As much as we're tempted, we wouldn't dare rig the trailer drawing. But I bet it would be nice if you bought them a complementary ticket or two in their name to cut their odds down a bit....
