Ponch made up one for me out of a 1stGen center stand. Very nicely done. Freebird used to make one doing the same thing. I didn't get a chance to install Ponch's as I ran acrossed a super deal on a Rivco. Bling ya know.. I sold the stand to another member.... forgot who?? I've never heard of anyone having a problem with one of the 1st's...

With one you'd be turning everything after the clutch... i.e. middle gear... without any oil circulation. Even with the tranny in neutral things are going to moving. Can't be a good thing over a long distance....

Here's an interesting read on mixing gas with diesel, and the possibilities of creating engine or injector damage. http://www.turbodieselregister.com/mixing_gasoline_and_diesel.htm

It's because Harley's don't have one....

Here in California parking enforcement is handled by a private organization. Originally it started out just checking for handicap violators, but has become a cash cow and they are now checking for all violations. However I'd say that if the handicap sticker or placard matches the state or country of the vehicle then they'll probably pass it by. Besides, if you get a ticket are they going to chase you all the way to Australia to try to collect on it....?? :cody

If I remember correctly all the golf cart wheels are wide. It may cause a problem in handling. And we sure have hi-jacked this thread huh?? Any more trailer pics??

My son's riding my old '83VR and I have the '91VR's running strong. The other 4 are 'kit' bikes... So there's six if you're keeping count....

I have looked all over the net, made lots of calls, and couldn't find anyone who even knew of a source for 8" aluminum 5 lug wheels. 10" is the smallest they go. Finally gave up. Not worth the hastle. I did call the trailer company and talked to them about the mods they did to their current trailer mold to take 10" aluminums, and they said the mold didn't change, they just raised the adjustment on the axel. So I might go that direction if I get inspired again. The PO installed Carlysle High Speed tires on the 8" wheels, and they are taller than other 8" tires. I also have a set of new 8" white spoke wheels. I may go ahead and put the Carlyles on them. At least they'll match the color of the trailer. Another option would be to have the spokes chromed???

Yeah, it's kinda cool. Never seen one like it until I bought this one. It's actually an option listed on their website. Just a little more bling...

Here's mine. Stole it off Craigslist... Nothing fancy. Non-matching paint, but I don't care, it was very cheap.....

Interesting read. Surprised to see Kawasaki out performing Honda so far... And I was always under the impression that Honda was #1 and Yamaha came in at #2.

Have you tried putting a synthetic lube in the final?? 'Nother area you might want to consider is the middle gear bearing. Sometimes noises will tranmit away from the actual cause. Just musing...

One positive for the forum format is that all new ads, and new comments, will pop up when checking 'new posts'. Something that doesn't happen with the current classy's. I believe you'd get more immediate exposure...

It does come with a 12vdc charger. Maybe we can hardwire it. We'll see when it gets here...

These stories about a experiences with pins shearing, balls breaking, happened because of one reason. Operator error. Most of the time it's exceeding the capacity of the vehicle, receiver, hitch, or coupler with overloads. Like pulling a 10,000 boat with a 2" ball. The equipment is all overbuilt for it's class rating, and for something to break it really has to be abused.... My

Wonder if the garage floor was layed with a vapor barrier under it??. The only way to avoid condensation is to keep the bike warmer than the surrounding air. The bike will respond slower to temp change than the air temperture. So warm moist air will hit the surface of the cool bike and cause the air to drop to dew point and condense on the surfaces. One way to stop some of it is to keep a cover on the bike and a lightbulb hanging somewhere under the bike. A small back heating pad would work also, and is temp adjustable. Keeps the bike warmer and condensation down...

Keep that shield down. Those critters can sneak though the tinyest openings.. Don't ask me how I know that.... Bee's can be very uncomfortable...

How about a shorter 8" windshield. Bugs like hot weather....

I don't have a clue on the mileage Scotty. It's from a 2003 so I'd guesstimate it at around 30-40K. A 20K final would definitely be the better way to go. Like I mentioned I as was just after the housing. You might check around and see if you can find one off a triked 2009-10. I missed one on Ebay last month for $100. I did get the like new rear shock for $25 bucks... Jack

I guess the class 5 hitch on my truck won't pass muster either?? Same set up installed by U-Haul, and they should know. You can't plan for all 'what if's'. Basically the chains are there to keep the trailer under controll and behind the tow vehicle instead of wandering off into oncoming traffic and killing someone.... I've towed a lot of trailers over the years and I have never heard of or seen a ball snap, or seen a stinger shear off a hitch pin. I have seen couplers come off balls because the driver forgot to engage the clamp, but even that's really rare.

The R-Marks have a couple of places on the hitch plate to deal with that issue.
