  1. Here's mine. Stole it off Craigslist... Nothing fancy. Non-matching paint, but I don't care, it was very cheap.....
  2. Interesting read. Surprised to see Kawasaki out performing Honda so far... And I was always under the impression that Honda was #1 and Yamaha came in at #2.
  3. Have you tried putting a synthetic lube in the final?? 'Nother area you might want to consider is the middle gear bearing. Sometimes noises will tranmit away from the actual cause. Just musing...
  4. Didn't know that.... Do now..
  5. One positive for the forum format is that all new ads, and new comments, will pop up when checking 'new posts'. Something that doesn't happen with the current classy's. I believe you'd get more immediate exposure...
  6. It does come with a 12vdc charger. Maybe we can hardwire it. We'll see when it gets here...
  7. These stories about a experiences with pins shearing, balls breaking, happened because of one reason. Operator error. Most of the time it's exceeding the capacity of the vehicle, receiver, hitch, or coupler with overloads. Like pulling a 10,000 boat with a 2" ball. The equipment is all overbuilt for it's class rating, and for something to break it really has to be abused.... My
  8. Wonder if the garage floor was layed with a vapor barrier under it??. The only way to avoid condensation is to keep the bike warmer than the surrounding air. The bike will respond slower to temp change than the air temperture. So warm moist air will hit the surface of the cool bike and cause the air to drop to dew point and condense on the surfaces. One way to stop some of it is to keep a cover on the bike and a lightbulb hanging somewhere under the bike. A small back heating pad would work also, and is temp adjustable. Keeps the bike warmer and condensation down...
  9. Keep that shield down. Those critters can sneak though the tinyest openings.. Don't ask me how I know that.... Bee's can be very uncomfortable...
  10. How about a shorter 8" windshield. Bugs like hot weather....
  11. I don't have a clue on the mileage Scotty. It's from a 2003 so I'd guesstimate it at around 30-40K. A 20K final would definitely be the better way to go. Like I mentioned I as was just after the housing. You might check around and see if you can find one off a triked 2009-10. I missed one on Ebay last month for $100. I did get the like new rear shock for $25 bucks... Jack
  12. I guess the class 5 hitch on my truck won't pass muster either?? Same set up installed by U-Haul, and they should know. You can't plan for all 'what if's'. Basically the chains are there to keep the trailer under controll and behind the tow vehicle instead of wandering off into oncoming traffic and killing someone.... I've towed a lot of trailers over the years and I have never heard of or seen a ball snap, or seen a stinger shear off a hitch pin. I have seen couplers come off balls because the driver forgot to engage the clamp, but even that's really rare.
  13. The R-Marks have a couple of places on the hitch plate to deal with that issue.
  14. On the price issue. The only thing I can suggest is watch the classifieds on this board or get real friendly with Ebay....

If it has a remote speaker option you can probably pick up a male2male cord at any Radio Shack.
  16. I've run KnN's on all my 1stGens, but can't say that I felt any difference in response or power over OEM filters. My fuel milage seemed to get better by just a tad, but that's about it. I do have a set in my stash that will be going in the '99 when I get to it. The milage sucks, so maybe they will give me a better mpg.... ??
  17. :thumbsup2:
  18. I tried that, but sometimes I nod off for hours at a time.....
  19. The 1st pic is the style you want, and can come with blue or gold dots. The 2nd is the 'brick'...
  20. Pessimistically speaking......
  21. Half empty is much better than empty.....
  22. I've been having problems with everything running slower than a cob lately, using i.e.8. House wifi was fine. Yesterday I downloaded Google Earth to play with, and inadvertantly picked the one with Google Chrome. I don't use Chrome, but now everything is running a warp speed using i.e.8. Haven't got a clue???
  23. Where did he mount the gyro-stabilizer??
  24. The system I have for the house was installed in 1958. An old Carrier compressor. I had it service once about 25 years ago, and a breaker replaced about 10 years ago. That tank is still doing it's job. Had a dealer come out and do an evaluation 10-15 years ago and he just said to run it until it dies.... As long as it's paid for and runing, buying a new one isn't going to be an economical decision even though it's not efficient.
