Very hard to beat that Leica Aspherical wide angle Lens.... Just saying that if anyone wants an awesome camera for a decent price, here it is.... Another nice thing is the shipping is only $5 bucks. No sales tax unless you live in Texas and they have a sales tax?? Sure you can find cheaper, but I doubt you can beat the quality of the pic. You get what you pay for...

The reason the 'Wave' tradition started in the first place was back in the day it wasn't all that common to pass another rider while out and about, so you acknowledged one another. Now-a-days if you wave at every bike you'll get waver's elbow..... :cody

I own one of these cameras and it is one of the best point and shoot cameras I've ever had the pleasure of using, and I've used thousands.... This one would make anyone coming to Cody a great photographer.... It's only for today (6/5/11) so if you're interested hop on it. http://www.woot.com/ http://sale.images.woot.com/Panasonic_12MP_Digital_Camera_with_Leica_12x_Optical_Zoom___HD_VideouqlStandard.jpg :cody

I try to wave most of the time. Sometimes they wave back...sometimes they don't. No big deal. The one I remember most was the solo rider going west in Nevada on I-80 waving both arms above his head at us as we traveled east. I had to respond in same. There must have been 200 yards of sand and sage brush between the east bound/west bound lanes. Brought a smile to an otherwise boring ride. And yes he was riding a Harley... In '09 I trailered the bike to Cody, and again out in the badlands of Nevada I was passed by a group of 6 Harley riders in one of those really tight formations. Scary, but it did look cool. Every one of them waved at this old guy dragging his bike down the highway. They didn't have to, but did anyway. Probably taking pity on an old man...

Buddys clutch was redone and now my clutch is having sympathy slips

I've used Valvoline 20-50 MC Specific oil in the past during the hot summers. Worked great and really quited the motor down. Check to see if it's labeled 'wet clutch' or friction modified... -
I think Annie gave her 'twike' to Alan to ride after she bought the new Harley Trike. Alan may have removed it?? They are at MD and will be at Cody. Never hurts to ask...

When I bought the '99 the P.O. said the rear shock had been replaced under warantee and I figured the shock failure thing had been taken care of. Then I started reading here about multiple failures. Dang!! So I started searching Ebay for NOS RSV shocks. Figured it would never hurt to have a spare for the next time. Especially at the price they were getting for new OEM's. Found a like new shock off a trike conversion for $70 bucks, then ran into another used with 16,000 miles on it for $35 bucks. Cleaned up really well. So now I have a life time supply... my life time.-not the bikes... of shocks, and I promiss not to go after any more on Ebay. They're all yours.....

Isn't that what annie did to her RSV Trike?? http://www.venturerider.org/forum/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=2195

Nope.... I rode the bus. One room school house was about a mile away. Took 15mins to get there. Since I can't remember if it was east or west of the house, I guess I only traveled about 260 miles.....

1,041 miles in 1 hr. Just sat on the scoot. Didn't even fire it up. Great gas milage...

This is probably as good a time as any to bring up underinsured coverage. Ask your agent. Most policies only carry uninsured motorist coverage, but if the other at fault driver is insured, and the accident takes his policy to max, your company isn't obligated to make up the difference. If the driver is basically not worth anything the possibility of getting any more by suing is pretty moot, and it's going to come out of your pocket. Another area to check is towing a trailer. It didn't cost any more to get the coverage, but when I checked Geico it wouldn't have been covered. Once they got the make, model, and license number entered it was. Just a couple of heads up's. :cody

That looks nice.... Got a sorta related question about one bling add on. How do you keep from scratching up the chromed floorboards? Wear sox?? They do look purdy, but I'd be afraid to touch them..... http://image9.autorevo.com/382/pics/3252839_d1bee442-cae8-4c47-94ed-014d166f6d1a.jpg

Yeah, I'm thinking that if anyone wanted to bring some buffalo wings, or slaw, or potato salad, or those cute little cocktail links.... I bet they wouldn't be turned away.... However.... trophy's only for the Chilli King... or Queen.. http://www.featurepics.com/FI/Thumb300/20090123/Cartoon-Mexican-Chilli-Lasso-1051311.jpg

Carb Diaphragm info...finally
Condor replied to a topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Another way is to stick a long screwdriver down in the venturi and hold the slide while putting the cover on. Once the cover is seated you can go ahead and put the screws in. I think?? it was Carl. or maybe Goose, that came up with this one. I had the same problem keeping them in the groove...- 122 replies

I now own the SPOT 1. I could have picked up a new one for $99.95 and get a $50 rebate in the form of a prepaid Visa card, but figured it wasn't worth the hassel. Beside I don't trust rebates anywho.... Thanks all for the feedback.
