    I'm not sure why everybody is so worried about the reserve on a 1stGen?? Once it's set to reserve leave it there and ride. We have a fuel guage and trip odo. When it hits 150 miles start looking for a station. Unless your bike doesn't have any way of telling what's in the tank can I can then see the need for a reserve. I place a 1stGen reserve right up there along side the kill switch.

    Just made reservations for the ride to Cody. Lone Eagle and I are leaving Northern Calif via I-80 on Thursday the 21st and overnighting @ the Motel 6 in Elko Nv, and then @ the Rock Springs Wy Motel 6 Friday the 22nd. Cody on Saturday afternoon. We're leaving a day early because Vic thinks I'm gonna fall over if I ride more than 400 miles a day in heat..... So.... anyone coming that way you're welcome to join in. And hold me up..... :cody

    I see they also have an affordable neck model for us po folks. I've riden all day in 105+ using natural air.... my mesh jacket and sweat.... and stayed fairly comfortable, but that neck wrap is intriguing. I'll wait to get a feedback report in Cody...

    Thanks for the feedback. Every bit of info helps, and it looks like a trip to the dealer to try both the 103 and the C90 is in order.

    on the Nolans. Goose, I have the older N100E in xxl, and after buying, and trying on, a 1002 xxl lite off Ebay I almost died of brain squeeze. I called NolanUSA and they did say the newer models were not as roomy. The 1002 Lite was rediculous. How did you find the N103 as compared to your original 100E?? I'm a little gun shy about gettting one of the newer ones...... They also mentioned something about a newer model, a C90??

    The first few years the RSV trunks were plagued with cracking around the mounting screws on the inside. Y has two metal plates that fits in there to spread the stress out.

    With all this Chili BS being tossed around it seems we've all but forgotten about the Free Buffalo Burger BBQ on Wednesday around noon at Mountain Valley Motorsports. Think about it. Attend the Rally and pig out for next to nothing. Free chips, dips, and Sody Pop on Sunday evening at the Skyline. Free continental breakfasts for those at the Skyline every AM. Free Chili Cook-off at the Ponderosa Monday Evening. Tuesday everybodies on their own.... Awww!! Wednesday the Free BBQ, and Wednesday evening the Group dinner and raffle. Somebodies gonna win a trailer.... I'm gonna have to go on a diet...again... www.ventureriders.org "An eating club with a riding disorder....."

    Yep, saw that bike late last year. The seller had it out in front of a house just down from my daughter and son-in-laws in Antelope. Very out-of-the-crate clean. Sea Foam and a good run to Cody will take care of all the strange noises. He11 it ain't even broken in yet.... I'm over in Carmichael, and you're welcome to drop in and talk bike anytime.

    Yeah, I might have been too quick on the trigger. I looked at a couple of thumbnail hits off Google and they appeared to have that defined Voyager fender look about them. After going back and looking again they are not like the Voyager. My Bad.....

    First time I've ever seen that kind of mounting system. Probably designed to fit another type bike. GoldWing?? Maybe an impulse purchase off Ebay without doing any checking.

    Probably just dirty and gummy. Try cleaning it out with a good carb cleaner or electrical cleaner and work the button in and out. Make sure it's adjusted right. Also your side stand spring might be getting weak and the arm is flopping down when you hit a bump??

    The worse thing you can do to decrease gas milage is run it easy in 5th gear. Drop it down into 4th and see what happens. Use 5th if your slabbin' it, in a hurry, and don't give a hoot about gas milage.
