Stealer stealing?
Condor replied to Trader's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
When I first bought my '83 it clunked all the time on rough roads. Progressives cured that problem. I was bottoming out with the old springs.... -
Need a little help
Condor replied to Marcarl's topic in Inspirational, Motivational, Prayer Requests, Etc.
Can't the church members come up with something? Or at least help?? Most churchs are aware of the pastor housing problem and have taken steps to take care of it, and if they couldn't they had no business hiring more staff. Another thought is a mobile home park?? Or perhaps a member has enough acreage to put a mobile home on it. The church members need to step up and address the problem. -
As long as the oil doesn't have friction modifiers in it you shouldn't have a problem.

Many happy returns of the day Dan....

front bounces on cloverleaf
Condor replied to Just Doug's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Progressives and a fork brace will take the bounce and wander out of the front end when stopping or cutting a twisty.... -

He said something about visiting a member in Canada?? and then heading home....

If it's totaled it will have a salve title. Value depends a lot on the current market. Do some research on what other Ventures of that year are going for. KBB, Ebay, Cycle Trader, Etc. Copy the listings. Build your case.

Have a good time Steve, don't blame you a bit.... I won the grill at Cody, but am in no hurry.. take your time. I did fill out the certificate for a 99Silver, but I think it's still in the out box along with the bills. Enjoy the time off.

Glad the wire helped Dan, but it's me that needs to thank you. After my murdering two battery's (I should have been arrested for 'Assault on a Battery'... ) it was you.. with help from the peanut gallery... that got me back on the road with the Indian Rectifyer R&R. , and then got me legal with the trailer wired up..... BTW: Never a hiccup all the way back.

Hot skip...idle
Condor replied to jasonm.'s topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Sounds like maybe a plugged idle jet. May not be electrical. Have you run any Sea Foam thru it lately?? -
Made it back home early this afternoon with lots of good memories. Will post picks and impressions a little later. Hope everyone who attended had a great time....

The fork brace will help you track through a curve better and stop wandering, but a shake could be a lot of things. The brace isn't a cure all but a performance enhancement. Could be a lot of things from the bars to the wheel. Wheel bearings is also a possibility.??

I haven't had a black anodized brace since the first group buy 2 to 3 years ago. You could shoot it Krylon Semi-Flat black and get the same look.....

Yep, I know the feeling Randy. While prepping the bike and hooking up the trailer etc. I had to turn the bike around in the yard. Fired it up instead of duck walking it, and the brand new Speed-Bleeder on the clutch slave was leaking like a sieve. There I am 8:30 at night replacing the Speed and rebleeding the clutch. Everythings good to go, so all I'm waiting for is a Call from Vic letting me know he's outta the barn. Elko Nv tonight.

Worked on a friends bike now bike isrunning rich
Condor replied to muaymendez1's topic in Watering Hole
If the bike ran good when it left your place, and what you did is doing OK, then after 3000 miles the guy has a new problem and treat it accordingly. A tank of bad gas could screw things up... The onus is on him. -
Hungry is a good thing.... Glad to hear things are going well....

I emagine there's a ton of ways to skin a cat.... I'm thinking a short plug lead off the wiring by the battery that can be tucked under the seat when not trailering, and then a long removable lead down to the trailer externally. It can be temporally zip tied to the trunk rack stantions and then removed when not pulling the trailer. Nothing will be sticking out, and only you will know for sure....

Somehow Fred Sanford keeps coming to mind....

Thanks Brian. I have two of those from the group buy as well, all I have to do is find them?? I think I remember seeing them a couple of weeks ago. Toss yours in the trailer just in case I halucinated again.
