Thanks for the link, but from what I can tell... looking at all the cellset flow charts...they deal in wired harnesses only, and not Bluetooth. I would need to be able to talk to both the GPS/Cell Phone, and the Audio/CB using the PPT button on the CB... They never mentioned anything about a CB. I think I need to talk to J&M on Monday. With this headset I can link to about 4 different bluetooth systems, but from what I'm thinking I'd only need to link to two??... Maybe??

Thanks for the offer on the manual Mark, but I found .pfd manuals on the Nolan site... , and the Ebay seller said he'd be mailing me the hard copy this coming week. The RSV is a whole different animal... sorta, and what I want to do is sync to the RSV audio system... especially the CB... I can sync to both my GPS and Cell phone individually, or sync the Cell phone to the GPS and then just sync to the GPS, which also has an MP3 player, only. I'm going to call J&M directly on Monday morning and pose the question to them about their 'Dongle'. It would seem to me that since they sell Nolans they should make a Dongle that will work with the Nolan Bluetooth??? And if not..why not.... I've seen a pic of the latest J&M headset, and I don't like it all that much. Where the Nolan fits flush into the helmet recess, the J&M sticks out about 3/8th of an inch and extends down below the shell about a half inch. http://www.jmcorp.com/linkpix/HS-EBLU629EDR-FL-L.JPG

Yeah, I bought one of his mic cables. Never installed it. Trying to go all wireless... I don't think Buddy is into Bluetooth. I wish someone made a 5 pin plug in bluetooth adapter that could be plugged into the wired lead we all have instead of having to tear into the fairing to install it...

This Nolan set will stream in Stereo. I just spent some time on the J&M website and the dongle they make will only work with their headsets.... Yeesh!!

Any Nolan owners out there? I just bought a Nolan N103 Helmet equiped with the Nolan Bluetooth set up off Ebay. I'm trying to figure out how to configure the system to work with both my GPS and the audio system on my '99RSV. It didn't have the manual..the seller is sending it... but I've down loaded the pdf manuals, and after looking at them all, it looks like the head set is the latest N-Com Bluetooth kit 3-2.1. It'll sync to my GPS. It'll sync to my Cell Phone. What I need it to do it sync to my bike audio system. I've found a 5 pin wired cable, but I want to go Bluetooth on the audio too. The system has the capability of syncing with what looks like 4 different bluetooth devices. Has anyone here ever been successful bluetoothing the RSV audio?? I know J&M makes a bluetooth dongel which I think plugs into the '99 allowing audio and CB. It's the CB that's important. Any advice would be appreciated.

Outside of a few there aren't a lot of folks on this board that are that well read on prices of the V twins. You might want to pop the question on on a website that caters to V Stars.

I usually peruse all things Venture on Ebay, but because there hasn't been a whole lot interesting listed lately, out of boredom I've been watching RSV's and TD's. I don't believe I've seen one meet reserve in the last couple of months. Some of the prices were wishfull thinking on the part of the seller, but some were priced pretty fair. Nada... I'd wait until spring before listing it, and avoid those listing fees...

We ran into a similar situation when taking money for Raffle tickets at last years Rally in Cody. I also received a call from an accouint Rep at 'P'. Though I didn't agree, I could see their point that it was a form of gambling and not allowed under their policies. I think this also happened once before when members were sending money via Paypal to Black Owl. In our case we worked around the problem, but in the case of requireing the distruction of the antique violin in the article I think they may have stepped in it. Sometimes those that have the gold makes the rules doesn't work.... I'll still continue to use Paypal, because other than that one incidence I haven't had any problems in 1000's of transactions over two decades. And think about this.... it is the only payment medium that allows the transfer of personal funds without fees. Try that with a Visa merchant account.. The pluses far outweigh the negatives.

Don, On the first option is there any way to lengthen the time that a user is inactive before programing changes everything to read and starts from scratch. I get sidetracked real easy... old age ya know.... and if I leave the site and then return within 10-15 minutes it's scratch time.... I avoid following a link from a 'new post' email notice in the AM because if I do follow it, and then come back a few minutes later, the only new posts are those that are new since my last mini visit. I sometimes get around this by going to each forum and seeing if there are any new posts....

There are quite as few additives on the market, but none seem to get the results or meet the popularity of Sea Foam. The STP can does look like the Sea Foam, but that doesn't neccesarly mean it's the same formula. http://www.stp.com/products/multipurpose-additives/multipurpose-motor-treatment/

For striping tape give these guys a shot. You may get lucky and find the right combination of colors.... -
You said you were pleased with the job the contractor did, so personally I think you're making a mountain out of a mole hill. Go fill in the ruts with topsoil and toss some grass seed on them. The truck had no way of knowing your yard was so soft, and it may have been the only spot available to get the material up on the roof..... IMHO.. A few years ago my son pulled into the back yard during the winter and sunk up to the axles. Had to winch him out. It left a couple of a deep ruts in the lawn. Filled 'm in with dirt and now you can't even see where the holes were.... Lawns will repair themselves.... with or without our help...

clutch reservoir screws stuck
Condor replied to jdsauter's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
You can pick up clean 1stGen VR masters off ebay for $25-$35 bucks. When I had to drill out the head on one of my reserve screws to get it out, I found stainless philips head metric screws at my local ACE Hardware for about $.40 cents ea.- 39 replies

Amazing how those little fingers can even cover all the strings. On the side bar there's another one that's a little older, but can we spell Jimmy Hendricks.... http://video.ca.msn.com/watch/video/little-girl-rocks-at-guitar/1glrbj30t?from=sharepermalink&src=v5%3ashare%3asharepermalink%3auuids

Ouch!! How in the 'H' did that happen. Hope it was a walk away... Looks like mud and grass on the landing site... Also looks like one of the wheels on the trailer is off the ground. No wonder it was tuff to pry off the ball...

It doesn't flop back and forth. Stays in one position while towing until the attitude of the bike changes. However if it bothers you try installing some rubber washers to act as dampners???

I bought a bench 16 speed about 30 years ago from Post Tool and Supply for $99 bucks when they first opened up, and if this one is anything like it that's a heck of a price...

I just ran across this listing for a TRAILER BALL #160706290092 on Ebay. Instead of installing a swivel hitch on the trailer tongue, this one's a tilting ball and good, for not one, but any trailer you wish to pull. I used one on the '99RSV to tow the trailer to Cody and back in July. It performed great, and would have forgoten the trailer was there except it kept showing up in the rear view.... It's also about half to a third the cost of a swivel coupler.... which is a good thing. I know a lot of guys will say they don't need no swivel, and that's well and good, but what's it going to hurt to have one just in case you drop the bike?? There's about a day left on the auction and the seller has 5 of them left. http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Motorcycle-Trailer-Swivel-Hitch-Ball-GL1800-Goldwing-/00/$(KGrHqEOKkEE25TvNvQkBN5RzrwjcQ~~_12.JPG
