They go beyond that... The 'Buckeye Specials' were a special order by Buckeye Supply in Ohio..hence the 'Buckeye'. The were an up-grade with all steel parts, no alloy, and made in 1988/1989. The report is that they made 5,000 combos in 32-20/32 H&R mag. Then Buckeye offered any one who bought the first Buckeye's could order a second combo with the identical serial number in 38-40/10mm.. Not consecutive, but matching.. So a few things need to happen before a set with both Buckeye's, with the same serial number, unfired and still NIB can happen. It makes them rarer than chicken lips. I've never seen another set advertised. Non-matching S/N's, yes. Fired singles, yes, but never a matching SN set, NIB. Yeah, $35,000 was tongue in cheek, but to a Ruger Collector they should be pretty damn valuable. Same thing with that Luger although they made millions of them. How many are left??

I guess if I could easily come up with the Lugar bucks, and it didn't break the bank, I'd shoot it too... MOF I'm no Luger expert but the shoulder stock looks like it was added, and not original. Most of the Broom Handles I've seen, the stock is much more 'distressed'...and the wood looks like it came from pallets??? 'Course I could be wrong...again...:-)

Yep, already did that... The auction was listed on the main page when I first saw it. Posted the link, and then it disappeared off their auction list before anyone could link to it.. SO then I went to my favorites page and it was still there so linked to that backdoor. Tested it and it worked fine. Then when I checked again it drifted off into cyber space too. However they did have a video posted and figured I'd go directly to Youtube and copy that link... which still works... It was a TAKE THAT SUCKER!! moment.. So that's my story and I'm stickin' to it.... :-) They'll probably post the auction again in the list. Lots of great pics. I'll post the new link when it shows...

Think what it would be like in the parking lot of the Mt Hood Lodge.. I grew up in L.A. and the first time I saw the Milky Way on a dark night during a water skiing trip down by Parker,AZ on the Colorado River I was hooked.... The most amazing thing I'd ever seen... I just unpacked the 10" Dob, and Holy Moly it's heavy... and big!! Now I see why they aren't very popular.. :-) But I bet it'll take great pics...for an amateur... Maybe someday a lighter flex tube 10" will show up in an auction?? Now I gotta go re-read the manual in order to pull the mirror so I can modify the side mounts.... Sign!!... it never ends...

OK all ya 'LOP EARED VARMENTS' I did look it up on Kelly Blue and the trade in value is around 14K and the dealer retail is around 18 somethin'... Knowing how things go on this site I think it'll go over KB retail. The only monkey wrench in this whole thing is the bad press surrounding the dry sump Milwaukee 8 motor. However the problems seem to appear on the 114 rather than the 107, but it might be enough to keep the price in check... The link I posted worked until they Placed the auction in preview stage only?? What ever that means??? But... See below... And for anyone worried about bidding against me... I'll be all in at about 4 grand. It's called California Dreamin'....

So I’m sure a lot of the members…if not all… do not know that one of my many eclectic interests is chasing planets. I pick up all of my telescopes out of auctions ‘cause I can’t afford anything over the counter new. So about three years ago I picked up an 8” Dobsonian Sky Watcher at auction for $43 bucks.. New in the box. The problem was it didn’t have a base, so contacted Sky Watcher and bought a base for $125. Felt pretty good about getting a new $550 scope for less than $200. Then about 3 months ago I picked up one of Sky Watcher’s collapsible 8” Dobsonian’s. Again, at auction, and this time for around $80 bucks. Same deal, no base, but I had an 8” base. The Flex-Tube scope… that’s what Sky Watcher calls it… retails for $695. Then last month a Sky Watcher base, that is motorized and computerized, pops up and I go for it. Spent way more than I should have, but it was one of those ‘gotta have it’ moments. However, the power bases retail for $700 bucks and I got this one for $250 bucks. Got it home and put it together. Alas, poor Yoric… it was for a 10” Dobsonian, not the 8"… The mighty Casey had struck out… So just yesterday up pops 10 ea. Complete Sky Watcher 10” Dob’s., and after a flurry of bidding I got one for $180 bucks. They were the classic’s (non-Flex-Tube), but one would slide into the 10” flex power base. Haven’t picked it up yet, but looking forward to adapting a classic 10” onto a 10” flex power base… Hey, it’ll be entertaining…. I’ll add some pics when they are assembled and ready to go chasing planets… Maybe even some pic's of a planet or two??

Hey Bob, It looks good, has two wheels, and at our age there's not much we can do with it, or anything else for that matter....

So what caliber or gauge do you plan on reloading for. Makes a big difference on equipment suggestions...

On long rides the pillow top almost crippled me for much the same reason you mentioned... Too far forward and too low... I finally went with a Corbin. It was harder..but higher, and let me sit rearward a bit more...

You still have air in the line.... -
The ignition key code is stamped on the back of the switch.... There are different blanks (A-F) as well as the number. You'll need to remove the switch to see it.. You'll need a long rachet extention...maybe a couple of them... and go up thru the front forks to get to it. 10mm socket if I remember correctly?? When reinstalling use hex cap screws for more controll... https://www.cyclekeysonline.com/

75 to 80mph, and wind resistance will get you every time.... Keep it below 70 and see what happens..... -
Lots of ideas here, but in the past, leaving the RSV audio on with the key off will drain the battery... some times overnight depending on battery condition...

Campfire and bugs reminds me of shooting trap at night under the lights at the Fresno Gun Club here in California. The club is located out of town in the midst of a bunch of tomato fields. The tomato moths are the size of B29's and would swarm around the flood lights. We used to see who could run 25 straight clay's plus a few moths thrown in for good measure.... :-)

I just got a brain storm that deals with gun storage in safes.... I've spent a lot of years in the boating industry. How does that relate to guns?? Hang in there, I'll get to that... One of the big problems on a boat in a marina is electrolysis. So many owners will hang a sacrificial zink over the side, since it's the lowest on the Nobility Scale, to attract stray electrical currents from attacking thru hulls, OB props, brass props, etc. So I got to thinkin'... Why not take a small piece of raw steel, set it on an old saucer, and put it on a shelf in the gun safe. Check it when the safe is opened for any rusting. If it rusting right away you've got humidity problems. If it's not your good to go and no need to inspect every gun in there. If you don't have a safe? A closet will work as well... My 2¢
