  2. I think since it's a two part product it might last a little longer. Besides, since everything runs right off.... who needs soap. I wonder how it works or road tar???
  3. This does look interesting, but being a skeptic, the cell phone got me thinking. What about the speaker on the front??? If it does work the case of beer is in my opinion is the way to go.... 4. I haven't seen him on the board lately. I've even sent him a couple of email to buy a couple of things, and he hasn't responded. Any problems, or is he just pissed off at me for some reason???
  5. All my bikes except two are non-op'd. But every year I still get a renewal notice for each one, and they all go up a bunch, active or not. I'm just glad that I don't have to pony up the bucks on each one. Except for the initial $20 fee the Non-op's are free. I bet it's driving the DMV nutz trying to figure out how to squeeze more money out of them.... Another area is our trailer PTI plates. About $35 bucks for 5 years. I have 6 trailers, and for some reason they can never get around to sending a renewal notice. When I registered the big sailboat trailer it cost $10 for 10 years before they changed the rules. Never did get a renewal??

  7. Couldn't see out of mine either... They were all fogged up....
  8. I just put a new floor in my 5x10. 2x6 Redwood. 10ea @ $10.00=$100.00. Reused the fasteners. Now if you really want something that will last forever try 2x6x12' shiplap Currie Wood. Each piece weighs 84#. It's the same wood they use on boxcar beds. Can't dent it with a hammer. The drawback is your bed will weigh 840# and your tare weight will be terrible. I used to have a friend who worked for the RR and I have my work bench built out of the stuff.
  9. Check your tires again. While runing low psi the sidewalls will flex, and cause the tire to cup. This will cause viabration when making a turn. At 11,000 you aren't even close to having a worn bearing. Always keep the tire pressure at sidewall spec.
  10. My CLASS never read below 7lb.psi. Sea level is 15lb.psi That's what it read when I drained the forks before installing a set of Progressives. Never got a drop on me....
  11. I wouldn't touch these guys with a 20' pole.... Another Chula Juana on the boarder biz...
  12. So did you replace the gear selector?? Curious how that worked out...
  13. Looks like a lot going on. Personally I'd find a duel intensity that acts as running and a stop light with all the lights on all the time.
  14. How does this work.... He said he'd take me for a son-in-law.....
  15. When the time comes I'm running it thru Barrett-Jackson.....
  16. I don't know if he still does them, but Pegscraper/Lynn used to drill and tap the area on the later V-Max units to take the speedo sensor.
  17. To answer your question. No they are not. The early finals did not have a case that allowed for a speed pickup installation. The later cases do have the pickup configuration, but since I don't know how the later TD's sensed speed, you may or may not need the sensor hole. Either way the V-Maxes don't use the final as a speed source, but do have the flat spot for the sensor. So if your TD does pick it up off the final you'll still need to have it machined. So be careful on what you're buying. Or pick it up from our member who deals in them, and you'll get exactely what you need.
  18. Maybe some of you will remember Don mentioning about board member Jerry 'pop pop' Zimmermann having a daughter, Jeri Ryan, who played '7 of 9' in the Star Trek Voyager series from '97 to 2001 a few month ago. Due to arm surgery Jerry had to list his '07RSV for sale for $6500. I talked it up, but didn't get any interest. Then he dropped the price to $6000/firm, but still didn't get a lot of interest. So I told Jerry that if someone didn't step up to the plate in two weeks I'd buy it. His next email said 'SOLD'... So that's how I got roped into buying Jerry's '07. In our conversations he told me about Jeri being 7of9, but because of Don's post, I already knew that... :-) I had to wait a couple of weeks before driving driving down to Encino to pick up the bike. So in the meantime Jerry offered to get a signed picture of JR for me. Being a red blooded Trekie who could refuse that?? While waiting I had a brain storm.. and asked if Jeri would be kind enough to sign the underside of the trunk lid for me?? Jerry said he'll see what he could do, and she did. So now I'm picking up this way cool '07RSV with a 7of9 autograph on it. The story is getting good. After getting the bike home another inspiring thought popped into my head. No one can see the autograph, so why not get a personalized license plate for it. And after a two month wait it finally arrived. I gotta add Jerry was a great guy and I'm proud to call him my friend. The 7of9 saga is all because he screwed up his shoulder. If he hadn't he'd still be riding, and I'd be wrenching on something else. Pics attached....
  19. I just got to wondering Brian.... Being a golf nut from the Seattle area would you happen to know Jerry and Diane Brugler?? They are my son-in-law's parents and are golf nutz. They're from the Tacoma area. I also understand their 5 y.o. grandson swings a pretty mean club...
  20. Reverse bleed 'm.....

    Summer Heat

It's finally cooled down here in NorCal. We set a record of 7 straight days of 105deg+. What were you saying about heat and it being to sunny??
  22. Heck, if you want scenery, and have the time take 101, all the way up to hwy34 in Oregon and then head east thru Corvalis to Albany.
  23. Got a question...because I forgot... The span of a stock dog bone is 6" I think. By shortening the span a 1/4"...does it raise the rear?? And lengthening it by a 1/4" lower the rear??? Kinda the reverse of what you'd think.. Or am I upside down???
  24. Geeze... Not one mention of Ride-On??? That's all I use in my tires, and not only does it seal up to a 1/4" hole.. so they say..., but it micro-balances the tire. I saw a video of someone trying to make a liar out of Ride-On and drilled holes all over the tire and it didn't leak... I do carry an inflater, but have never had a reason to use it... Nice to have... like a security blanket...
  25. I don't think he's been back yet. Most newbe's haven't set up their user CP so they don't get any notices etc...
