  1. I'd go if it were closer.....
  2. It's all those twisty mountain roads you have around there....
  3. Not necessarily so. They do make crew's with 8' beds, but generally are pretty bare bones when it comes to creature comforts as they are in the loop for work trucks. Usually takes a special order to get one loaded up with all the amenities. I like the long bed too, but how often do we need the extra length?? Back to the Nissan. They make a bed extender that'll get you to 8' and you can carry that sheet of plywood. So the 5'6" bed is not a problem.
  4. OK, now I'm wondering if the block doesn't offer a 2:1 leverage advantage????
  5. That's what I was going to suggest too George. Reason ? No cruise....
  6. It's a wasted spark...so Dual...
  7. Hey Dan it did sound good..... Must not have been the right time Randy. Since the bikes weigh within 50# of each other, and since the stiffness of the ride is controlled by the shock resistance, I wonder if Y was just trying to make the ride 'cushy-er' I wonder if the extra HP has anything to do with it?? On my 1stGens they've never come off the line all that well and bog a bit, but when the R's build look out. The 2nd's seem to 'dig' a little better when dumping the clutch. More responsive on the low end. I also wonder what would happen if we took the pressures to those for the 1stGen??? My '07 front end dives a bunch when making a fast stop...and it bugs me...
  8. Before pulling the trigger, go take a look at a Nissan Titan Crew. I just looked at a 2006 with 73K on it, and even though I've been a Ford or Chevy guy I think I'm going to pop for it. I'm a big guy and if you want room this one has it....
  9. When adding air to the front forks and the rear shock with the CLASS system the high pressures were 17psi and 71psi for the 1stGens, and if I remember correctly the 2ndGens max specs call for 45psi for the shock and 7psi for the forks. Why's that??? What's the big difference. A curious mind wants to know.... :confused07:
  10. I think the big problem with putting a rams horn type bar on there is that the hydraulic brake and clutch control reserves are really going to be standing on ends and may effect performance. If they were cabled it would be a different story.... ?? Maybe....?
  11. Looks nice, but would look even better if you turn the blue filter off when taking pics...
  12. They all seem to be a little inherently stubborn. I use the handle of a wooden handled hammer to get in there and pry up a bit. Also take them out the left side, and you'll be able to take the throttle cables off after wards and it's out a lot easier...
  13. Ya gotta stop taking that thing thru the car wash.....
  14. http://whyweridefilm.com/ Limited in where it's showing... Lets hope it gathers momentum.... From the trailer it looks like a good one..
  15. Like a lot of other old members I think he's just gotten bored and moved on. Yawn!! But my 2ndgen is faster than your 2ndGen....
  16. A few years ago eBay finally woke up and took a look at how much money they were being scamed out of by sellers inflating the shipping price on an item with a give away price on it, and started charging for the total amount including shipping. This was happening a lot with Chinese/Hong Kong sellers. Those sellers will not combine shipping...period, because it would be like giving the item away.

    OOPS!

Well lets put it this way Alan, you ain't never going to win a beauty contest.....
  18. If you're refering to the ignition cover they show up on eBay occasionally. There was one on Seven when I bought her, and because of the blinding gleam at certain times and it having a lot of scratches, I've been thinking about shooting it black. It is metal vs. plastic for the OEM....
  19. Interesting. Wonder what these things cost to the consumer?? And, I don't remember seeing it, but are they stainless??
  20. I had to pull the petcock on the '99. It leaked and the only position I could get it to stop leaking was in reserve. I ordered all the parts needed to rebuild the valve.... not all that much, but after getting it out the rest of it looked pretty bad, and the stand pipe was missing a filter screen, so went ahead a bought a new one. When I took the old one apart to see what gives it had a broken 'o' ring. I could have replaced it and probably will just to have a spare laying around. If you do decide to rebuild there's two part #'s you'll need. 3AC-24523-00-00 PACKING, AND 3AJ-24534-01-00 SEAL. They'll run you right around $7 bucks. The gasket that seals the petcock to the tank 4X8-24512-00-00 may or may not be needed. It's a judgement call on your part. Anyway it's another $2.50.... Hope this helps....
  21. Awesome!!
  22. Yep, I think all dyslexics should un-tie. See I knew he could spell....
  23. I think the point our member is trying to make is that what goes around, comes around. The poem was written back in the early 1900's, and could be applied to today, touting revolution. Henry Lawson was a poet born in the late 1800's and his biography can be seen HERE who wrote in sketch form, or painted pictures with words. It looks like he championed socialism. What surprises me is that someone who types in phonics could understand what he's posting.... IMHO
