  1. 44* this morning. broke out the heated gloves for the ride to work.
  2. high of 81 yesterday then some crazy wind last night and its 50 today
  3. mid 70's and scattered clouds here on the beach in Carolina
  4. both the R1 and Warrior calipers? or the R1 calipers and warrior master cyl? following closely as I was just about to pull the trigger and buy the parts for this swap.
  5. I like that a lot liquid cooled was one of my requirements when looking into getting my first cruiser. that's how I ended up here in v4 territory
  6. mine is in any gear and all speeds but only under load. it varies in pitch with rpm
  7. I haven't looked at beveling gears, but if you have a spare basket from an 09 then that would be the first thing I did was that swap. if that doesn't work then maybe look at this solution that is my current plan to try. Running an oil line to the housing to better lube the gear teeth. https://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?119593-YES-WHINE-is-GONE-I-Finally-did-IT-PUT-OIL-line-to-THE-DRIVE-gear-on-Clutch-housing
  8. or at least direct contact, doesn't take long to make it brittle
  9. it took me a little while, but I found them in plain site
  10. something like that. worth a shot I guess. I can't quite imagine another way of doing it without looking at mine. I'll check at lunch when I go out to the parking lot.
  11. can you detach the bracket from the lid and rotate it out of the way?
  12. I was really glad that we didn't get the flooding in Morehead from Dorian that we had from Florence. my garage is a flood zone so I built flood walls trying to seal off the doors this year. thankfully didn't need them.
  13. I've had great success with the 705s as well as the 804/805 on my versys. I think i'll give the 777's a go on the rsv
  14. somehow missed that thread, definitely subscribing to that one so I don't lose it.
  15. every link to a picture I've found so far seems to be a dead link. would love to see what they actually looked like. might give me some ideas. I do a lot of 3d printing and have access to some pretty fancy commercial units as well. making an adapter is the easy part. finding the right gauges is turning out to be tough as none really have the look I want.
