Yepper she does all that just fine. My preference is for a raider but there are zero of them anywhere near me and I saw this one as I was on the way to pick up parts for the V Lady. I was surprised it was still there but then again, very very few people up here know how to fix anything = the bike is still for sale sooooooo... If its there when I drive down Tuesday thats the end of it for that kinda change. I will List my 2010 Nytro mountain sled for sale and worry about coins on the back end or maybe just see if I can detune it to make it safe for Geriatric useage??? sled is stupid crazy fast. I learned how to ride the belt this past Feb. Absolutely INSANE!!! Cmon Tuesday!

Wow Patch!!, talk about a serious strole through the past!. I am primarily a Jazz fusion Musician. back in the id 70s through the 90s, when I wasnt with the primary Band, I would farm out to whoever was paying the best chunk of cheese, preferably touring with mid level wannabes. I have played most of these tunes many many times. When I sot down to my Keys, unless someone else is present, I never know whats gonna come. The song that does show up the most is by the Beatles version of I get by with a little help from my Friends. CW to Funk, Hard core Jazz, Nashville Blues. sometimes I play NOTHING. Nothing means a bunch os what ever I see in the dark. I take a lot of meds for pain, 127 broken bones, 5 heart attacks 6 abilitations, most recently my head exploded last October central brain ruptured aneurysm. A lady found this on you tube and wanted to add speech to it so ZI let her have at it. I play stuff like this in the middle of the night, Cant sleep cuz I hurt so bad only the unthinkable offers relief and we aint going there. so I play crazy. I just let my hands run off. in this case it turned out to be classical. I plan to give a listen to everyone of these posts you got up here. Great Work seems spiritual in nature more than just a list of songs, Outstanding Brother. God Bless.

That is exactly what I want to do. I had it all out yesterday whjen I cleaned up the ends to the plug wires which Im going to replace Payday, they are too short and too tight, no slack left. It should be here by tuesday and its not soon enough, nice looking work! -
This Bike is at a pawn shop. I figured out its charging issue and the fuel tank indicatir is wired backwards. He sent me a text today and said he would take $2500 after I turned his price down do to needing a battery and the harness repaired. Given that the Burgundy Lady is now up to Par Im thinking if its sitting there on Tuesday Im gonna go twist his arm a little bit. its super clean and runs shifts very well, no leaks, Power band is as expected and the good rubber makes ya grin. I want something lighter than the 87 for around here local stuff town to town, in state riding, Its lighter more maneuverable etc and suits me without worry of having to pay a shop for repairs. Ive also heard that the 2000 to 2005 motors were not all that dependable but given the Price now at $2500 and newer motor cost at less than a grand Im not gonna pass it up. Ive got the Bug!.

Howdee and Good evening Surbivor. whats the status of your scoter? have you checked the starter drive gears previously mentioned? do Disconnect the fuel line and plug it. remove the power wire to the fuel pump. get some marvel mystery oil into thos cylinders asap, as it sounds like you got what us old timer motor heads call a wash down. meaning the fuel has washed all the lubricating properties off the cylinder wall. if you dont oil them it can break some piston rings. Let us know,, -

This is the project Bike. I wont get much mileage this year. With the house about 60% done it is the priority. Doesnt leave much time for trips. Needs plastic and paint but she seems tight and right enough to be worth it all. Cost was about $800 overall

Bike appears to be very clean, crash bar reflectors missing on one side. Fuel gauge doesnt work needs a battery, has New Tires Pips are nice. Road it for about 35 to 45 minutes. Road it like I stole it, It ran nice, stopped for a mountain Dew, it started up straight away but the battery keeps going dead. Owner says Mice ate the Harness. Expensive to DIY?? He wants My Drag sled in a swap, 2010 YAMAHA NYTRO fX xtx, ITS ALL TRICKED OUT Long Track, my wholesale value is greater than his asking price so I dunno.. I really like this Bike and will get it if you guys think its worth a new harness.?? SOLD $2250 OUT THE DOOR GONE!

Good evening. I wrote down everything you guys said to check with regards to the wiring. cut and clipped them all to refresh them, I didnt do the coin ends as by the time I got the first set of wires done and continued cleaning the fuel systems, my meds were wearing off and I could walk, Hence he misses showed up with a baseball bat. She did allow me to put everything back together. some of those wires were atrocious burned and or mostly just gone! I had to keep my appointments today so I road the bike down to lincoln. It Ran like a dream pretty much, front tire needs balancing badly starts to bounce 65 - 70. I can tell; there are still wire issues as its on 90% of the time but i can tell its not all there. this bike engine comes on up on Cam around 3400-3500 and wants to go boom. Normal?? Previous Venture was an 83 great Bike but I dont remember it acting like this one with regards to power band. you Guys were dead on the money about High rpms. It likes 4500 or better for cruising, 4th Gear was sweet. with my head so messed up I can remember everything Im yet supposed to do so I gotta read all your posts again so I can remember why I wrote things down, (sucks). Bottom Line Every Bit of advice has already proven to be spot on correct and I will continue to fix what I find. 1. going to check the spark plug caps again, I read somewhere they have a resistor inside ?? 2. Motor fires right up, so far have backed the idle screw down 5 turns and more to go, it was at 1800 when I got home for neutral idle speed. 3. where is best place to get a generic fuse panel so I can get rid of this one its got rust , cracks in the base.. 4. Im in serious Trouble. I saw a 2003 Venture today. asking $3k where should I [post the pics? I test road it for about 45 minutes, fuel gauge doesnt work they had to jump it off, started fine after that even war zero issues and ran like a scalded Dawg!! IM going back to get it in the am if you guys say its worth it. I plan on talking him outa some stuff as he wants my 2010 Yamaha Nytro MOUNTAIN Sled in a swap. will post photos soon as somebody tells me where they go! Thank you all so much, you made this task go like warm butter. I couldnt be happier!! God Bless! -
Came across this thread as go task to to task on the Lady Bird. Evening Gents. Cut and trimmed all the wires changed the oil again it was horrible again but no metal shards, magnet was clean. She started up like all of a sudden all was good. had to back that idle screw down a lot. shut it off and went to work on the cabin. After work, I decided to take it down the road and WOW! no stalliing no hiccups. Does the XVZ1300 have an aggresive cam? This thing comes on at around 3500 and gets gone. nothing like my old venture royale I mean its stuck on stupid. Is there any way to check this aside from pulling the covers and checking lobe height?? Thank you Gentlemen very very much. looks like the carb kits will stay in the box. its a whole nother deal now just fixing little bugs and upgrading the fuse box. -

After removing some plastic so I can see things better, ive added a new air filter to the list. also Must importantly, its NOT a Royale, just a plain Venture,. sitting on the bike, left front cylinder #1 ? the slider isnt moving however it is firing. all the pipes seem to be opf the same temp but I fear this bike wasnt very well treated in the long haul, too many small things not properly maintained missing or broken and taped up etc, Carb kits came today, so im going to start breaking things down.. Seriously APPRECIATE ALL THE POINTERS TO GET ME HEADED IN THE RIGHT DIRECTIONS ON MY LIST.!! -
Theres an outfit in ohio that breaks down a bunch of Ventures and Vmax units for parts. they have plastic out the wazoolies. If you cant make or find what you want, lemme know I hit em up for it, they are fairly cheap but shipping might be a tad wicked coming across the pond.
