While My Grandfather served as Dad Father and God In my world, he never dropped us off in the deep woods as we already lived there. I can see the truth to what you say in that unless there was school in session or some church function. With that said, I cant count the number of meals caught shot or dug up outa the ground when I became hungry. Slingshots and BB guns were ourTools the woods as we called them were the grocery store. the creek doubled as a free fish market and anything that would cook and have so much and 2 bites left after removing the stick holding it was a good meal. Reading your post reminds me of a couple things and incites thoughts to others considering where our world is today. I dont think our society is smarter or better off. we learn less Do more for less and get almost nothing almost all the time from it. The Following is considered child endangerment. Whooping your kids for lying or stealing. refusing to allow them access to their electronics as punishment. I didnt know they were required as life support like food or air. we didnt have any. If someone broke a cardinal rule any relative or neighbor in good good standing gotr a piece of you on the way home, and your parents shared whatever meat was l;eft on your hiney parts as a snack. My Daughters do not speak to me to this day due to the process of making them earn every thing beond room and board after their mother died of Breast cancer. I said simply, I am raising you you for a world you cannot see and a life I cannot promise. I am still just that crazy. They would gag when I drank from a hose. I drink water from creeks, my water supply at my lake camp is straight from the lake. My visitors know they must bring their water or do likewise or without. I am not buying water for the average passerby to enjoy. I love your Post about your Dad. It so much remonded of the blessings my Grandfather taught me and the smiles My Granny gave when I walked in with a ground hog or rabbit. Fish I had to clean myself, I was an inept butcher. Sorry I been so long checking back. Been busy as heck here, Will stay with the stock tire for now and thanks for the input. Im refgusing to accept the fact that Im way older and only 10% as cocky and 200% crazier with old age... Stock is likely safer as well as Im too old to be experimenting... Ride safe.

Test progress. After bolting up the Gen 1 centerstand, I had someone help me and we could not get her up on it. After checking some measurements, the previous centerstand had to be aftermarket as the damper bolted to the frame is too far forward for a gen 1 to make contact. I cut about 1.25 in off the tubing from either side but have not had the time to break out the mig and tack it up for a test fit and tryout. Since its raining to day I might give it a shot as I wont be hammering and nailing in the thunderstorms. Rie safe.

Anyone have a set of intake boots they want to sell? Mine are dry rotted and cracked, Back in the day I would have done a clean Black silcon skin that would work nicely but on this newer materials Im not so sure it would work the same way. Hit me up I gotta replace them. Thanks!

I like the work Boots Idea, but its a God awful Long drive just for a few rioting minutes and a pair of boots, I will just buy em. Wi cked week for me here, Did a Temporary install of small water heater washer and dryer. Bsed on the 124 mile round trip and loss of a days work to do laundry Im a happy camper!! Going to finish the skylight room reflector and south Rood face this week as well. This weekend, Dr Rob and I will start the second floor loft framing, NO LOGS YAY!! just standard 2x6 framing 16OC. Speeking of Center stands, The 2 I ordered from Pinwall in Massillon Ohio arrived yesterday. I picked up some steel and also bought My heavier welding maching home as I had loaned to the local shop to repair a Dump Truck Bed. I got up under the 03 as best I coukd and low and behold theres a center stand mount there and it shows signs of use. I held one of these up to it to see if my eyes were lying to me and the bolt holes line up perfect and the foot peg swaps arou nd the pipe ;eaving room for a rubber stop should one be needed. It will be interesting to see if this things comes up on the stand without modding. Wish Me Luck, we can all use some I promise to share!!

People dont know how to Be Still anymore. Most young people even some that are married dont half know each other and communicate by text. common sense aint common anymore. manners non existent. kids yelling at adults, adults talk at each other in public so bad you wouldnt know they live together. Up here where I am, an 82 yr ols deaf woman made a comment about being scared to go to the store as none of the employees wore a mask or gloves. She was ostracised on FB by pretty much everybody. One of the local meth heads threatened her and told her to leave town. As I read this I have to wonder what are they thinking? With the riots etc going on, some of the locals dont speak to me anymore. One of them asked me if I was going to protest in Danforth about racism. REALLY??? People are just plain nuts anymore, Gimme some asphalt a couple tanks of gas so I can ride and not have to hear or participate in the lunacy. I grew up in rural America in the mid 50s and 60s. I dont remember having to deal with what Im seeing now. There were issues but not the whole friggin country. Its like all a sudden dont drink the water!!! So Its now 4

Hi Gents.The RSV Needs a Front tire. I plan on doing some serious study on tires but for now I just want to be sure its safe. Riding with a dry rot crack irks me to no end. Stock size is 150/80 16. I read someplace that the 130 90 16 has a better handling aspect than the stock tires. Anyone wanna chime in on this? Next season it will be A whole nother story as the rear is new but I dont even recognise the brand name. I had Lops of my Road Star and the 83 VR before that. times have changed as has tec stuff tires etc so Im in no hurry to run off and buy the wrong stuff. Point the way Gentlemen!! Thank you Much !

I installed the Bagger shield purchased from Great adVENTURE. It looks great and what I like most is I can take it off or flip to lower it if not on the highway and it takes seconds!. now I just gotta get a bag for it so im not in and out of the luggage looking for my smokes and Zippo! Me Thinks you will like it. I received My Bagger shield from Great adVenture a couple days back and put it on. I like it, The shorty that was on it had the wind straight in my face. The Bagger is an inch taller and total 4 inches wider over all. With the second section mounted, its full fairing height, i loves it!! You gonna Buy That Bike!!

Ive Not ever Hit anything, But Ive been Hit. All the things ive learned about Biking says to do exactly as you did, steer straight brace and follow through. I cant say that I could pull it off as you did. Repair costs are much cheaper than surgery. Great Job Riding in the Hand of God. You did your Part and did it well !! Stay Blessed!

As God is in control for those of Faith, I plan on being there through the good times and the bad. It is Beautiful, serene, and quiet. wild game for hunting or trapping and great fishing everywhere a body can find enough water to wet a line. after so many years city to city town to town as a catastrophe specialist, I came to the conclusion that no way in hell would I retire in a city. While My chosen path has been rough do to unforeseen issues, people being in my way or messing things up are not part of the equation hence I continue forward with a smile. Being this far east, the sun rises at 4:20 am EDT. I get up, take my meds, wait for my legs to work, get dressed and get busy. By 2pm Ive already put in a long day. Funny thing, last year a guy showed me a photo of the 87 I now own and asked me what I thought of the Bike. He said to me , why would anyone buy such a hunk of old junk.. Its parked outside, the Burgundy Baby! My last bike a 98 Road Star I sold in 04 when I left Washington state was a vague memory. Now Im back in the saddle for what its worth and Happy to be a part of the VR community for better or worse depoending on what Patch says from one day to the next.. Here I am and shall remain !

I lost quitye a bit a saving due to having to pay for certain items out of pocket that were health related beforwe the VA got their butts in gear. In the mean time, Im building out of pocket while I swap labor and engineering blueprints for materials etc, doing it one board at a time, every check, pay the bills, buy materials. as for the Bikes, I swap and trade my way into what ever I decide I wanna play with, My drones have various values, from few hundred to a few $k. but there is no money up here to be made, people are poor, no industry no factories no malls no Nothing, woodsmen and farmers. I cant even Get a rifle Match up here and I was fronting the till for it. so Im building Paycheck to paycheck. Any suggestiong you have for better insulation or materials will have to wait until I hit the lottery or rob someone with more than I have, and robbery is not an option due to God Making all the rules. I got out of ICU just before thanksgiving, started walking around un assisted in Jan early Feb. Feel free to show up and Jump right in the foods Great! but the pay sucks..
