I didn't do very many trips this year. Just to the IR and then over to Branson for a few days. Lot of day trips with the SCRC group I ride with. I will not do any on the bike in 14. I will save the Vac. time and take my oldest son to WY on a two week hunting trip before I retire in 15.

Someday, somehow, somewhere, sometime - we WILL toss one back!!
Watch throwing those cones. You may choke on them.

Dan why change the plugs??? You won't ride it so the ones in there should last for years.
:rotf:
:rotf:
When you change them use the iridium plugs there good for 100,000 miles but you should know that already.

I stood beside mine for about an hour while working in the shed. I will get it out on Sat and spin the wheels for s short ride.

I have a really hard time "getting into the spirit". Something about spending more than you have made almost all year. All the family get together drama, scheduling whos gonna be where and spend what day with witch family etc. And not to mention the hours to dig the christmas decorations etc out, time putting them up, then storing the boxs again for 4 weeks when you repeat the whole process again to pack up. Grrrrr Taking a cruise to Hawaii would be soooo much easier.
Who does all that??? I just pull the bike out of the shop and turn the lights on.
It is decorated all year long.

If you miss It's a Wonderful Life on the 14TH you can see it on the 24TH.

I haven't hunted since 04, lost the area to developers and don't like hunting on state ground. My son goes with a friend and is trying to talk me into it.
-
Well I never got to meet my Dad, he was killed in a coal mine 6 months before I was born.
Do I miss him, every darn day!

Things like that happen. My neighbor's dog ran out in front of me about a week ago. We buried it in his lower yard that afternoon.

I got my 03 in 05 with 4,000 miles and it has 78,000 now. I will never ride a V-twin again.
-
I am not sure about changing the bars, there is a lot of stuff mounted to them under the fairings. If they are braced to the floorboards they do a good job at protecting the bike.

I have the Top Gear jacket liner and gloves, they are worm but the gloves are a little stiff and bulky. A friend gave me his Gerbing gloves when he quit riding. They are not as worm as the other but are softer and not as bulky.

Might be a lot of usage for a relatively cheap tire changer. Might want to look at a No-Mar changer since the difference in cost wouldn't be that significant spread among 11 folks. It's a little heavier duty.
Just my $0.02.
RR
+1 on the No-Mar, I have one and it is the best.

I bought one for the wife while we were in IL last year and she loves it when I have the Saddleman seat on the bike but does not use it with the pillow top seats.
-
I haven't looked at replacing my bike. Mine only has 77,000 miles on it so that is not a problem and I am 61 years old. If something happens to it like a crash and it does not kill me I will probably just quit riding.

A friend was bow hunting in WY a few years ago and had to go, so he squatted down under a pine tree and then he heard this rattle, he thought it was a grass hopper till he turned to see one about 3 1/2 ft long curled and ready to strike. He die have to go change his pants.
-
Very nice indeed.
-
Sorry to hear that you went down, heal quickly.
-
That thing is down right ugly. Looks like the fairing and gas tank is one piece.
-
Are you nuts???

Me neither, I only put marine stabil in her and ride when I can, I will ride during the daytime in mid 30's
Day Time with temps in mid 30's
I have taken my bike to work and I leave the house at 5:00 AM temp at 17* going up I-81 at or above speed limit. Don't know what the wind chill was but it's an eye opener.

My grandmother and mother made soap and they used a cheese grater and it would then be put in a plastic bread bag till it was time to use.

How about an all expense paid trip to the next International Rally where ever it might be.
