  1. WOW! Glad you are not seriously hurt. Hope the pain goes away soon. Those things can be dangerous on a hill. I have seen a few roll over where I live.
  2. John glad you were able to keep it up. I had the same thing happen to me a couple years ago. Brand new e3 cut a gash about three inches in the side.
  3. Steve sorry to hear of your crash but glad you are hear to talk about it. The bike can be fixed or replaced.
  4. M0. or Ark. would be OK with me. I am going there the first week of July anyhow.
  5. I use a pair of HD gloves, thin and breathable, but I have grip puppys on my bars also, very little vibration.
  6. Eck I use Map Quest all the time and do not have a problem. Are you sure that you have Garmin communicator on your computer? With map quest there is a tab at the top right corner of the screen to send your route to your gps. If you have the gps settings on fastest time it will give you the direct rout and not what you drag and drop.

If mine goes out I will go to Advanced Auto and get a fuel pump and use longer fuel line to put in behind the stock horn, there is plenty room there for a fuel pump on my Venture.
  8. I quit playing golf when I got the bike. Not enough time for both on a nice day.
  9. Rather I am one up or two I stop the same way. Both brakes till about three or four feet then front only at about two feet both feet down and never in the crown of the road.
  10. Good luck Reiny. Just let him get close and make the first shot count. I have taken a few with a bow.
  11. And I have plenty of help in doing it.
  12. The wife is home. I went down this morning and the finally let her go about 2:00 this afternoon. A little sore but doing well.
  13. Partshark.com you can get OEM parts at a good price. I use them all the time for parts.
  14. Up date on the wife. She is up and taking short walks. Has some pain but that is expected. Going down tomorrow and may stay till Sunday if she does not get out tomorrow, she is ready to come home. she has quit smoking that will help the healing process, been 1 1/2 weeks.
  15. We like them. We order once or twice a week
  16. Cowpuc said Brother,,, I dont know,, those Black Hills are gorgeous in July. Besides, if it happened like the 3rd week of July we would be able to shop some HD Rally vendors, see a few HD rally bikers, still be able to tour the hills unhampered by crazies AND, there would be places available.. Not saying it is not gorgeous Just expensive. The least expensive room in the area this time of year ia $100.00 a night and it is 25 miles out of Sturgis. Get one close and it will be $175 and up a night.
  17. That is great Lewis. Keep up the good work.
  18. Sturgis is a great place, Just not the month of july or the first two weeks of Aug.BLACK HILLS RALLY AT THAT TIME OF YEAR.:rotf:
  19. LOL That ain't going to happen, not with my daughter and daughter in law here and Domino's Pizza just down the road.:rotf:
  20. That is a lot of damage. It will take some time to fix but it can be done. I would try to find another from a parts bike.
  21. Thanks to all I will keep you posted.
  22. The wife went into the hospital today for her operation, 7 1/2 hours in OR. She is in ICU tonight and will be put in another room tomorrow. Operation went good but in a lot of pain this evening. Hoping to come home Friday or Sat.
  23. I have them on my saddlebags. The front bolt is at a funny angle. I would say that they will not fit with out bending the front leg further forward. That may damage the chrome plating.
  24. Well if WV is out then I hope it is MO.
  25. I have cut many trees and would never use my truck or tractor to make a tree fall in any direction. Too many raped up in them to let a tree crush them.
