Maybe the PO was color blind and the green tape lets him see better.

Prayer to your friend and the family.

The seats that you are referring to is the pillow top seats. There may be a set floating around here but I would keep an eye on ebay. I see them there all the time.

It will look even better after next week.

WOW! Glad you are not seriously hurt. Hope the pain goes away soon. Those things can be dangerous on a hill. I have seen a few roll over where I live.
-
John glad you were able to keep it up. I had the same thing happen to me a couple years ago. Brand new e3 cut a gash about three inches in the side.
-
Steve sorry to hear of your crash but glad you are hear to talk about it. The bike can be fixed or replaced.

I use a pair of HD gloves, thin and breathable, but I have grip puppys on my bars also, very little vibration.

Eck I use Map Quest all the time and do not have a problem. Are you sure that you have Garmin communicator on your computer? With map quest there is a tab at the top right corner of the screen to send your route to your gps. If you have the gps settings on fastest time it will give you the direct rout and not what you drag and drop.

If mine goes out I will go to Advanced Auto and get a fuel pump and use longer fuel line to put in behind the stock horn, there is plenty room there for a fuel pump on my Venture.

I quit playing golf when I got the bike. Not enough time for both on a nice day.

Partshark.com you can get OEM parts at a good price. I use them all the time for parts.

Up date on the wife. She is up and taking short walks. Has some pain but that is expected. Going down tomorrow and may stay till Sunday if she does not get out tomorrow, she is ready to come home. she has quit smoking that will help the healing process, been 1 1/2 weeks.

That is a lot of damage. It will take some time to fix but it can be done. I would try to find another from a parts bike.

The wife went into the hospital today for her operation, 7 1/2 hours in OR. She is in ICU tonight and will be put in another room tomorrow. Operation went good but in a lot of pain this evening. Hoping to come home Friday or Sat.

I have them on my saddlebags. The front bolt is at a funny angle. I would say that they will not fit with out bending the front leg further forward. That may damage the chrome plating.
