Dan Try Partshark.com. They have new OEM parts at a good price. Better than a dealer. I have used them on a few occasions and was happy with what I got.
-
As far as I know, no one is making them.
-
I have it is called a Stallion. I saw a white one a couple years ago and talked to the owner. They have a four cylinder Ford motor and auto trans. He said it is fun to ride and gets great gas mileage.
-
What about the vent tube? I hear that it can cause problems with the fuel flow.
-
Did you make the passenger highway pegs that are on your bike?
No they are from Diamond R Accessory pegs.

As for the rear pads wearing funny. They all do . Best thing to do is switch the pads from side to side. I do mine about every 2,000 miles. That way I know when I have to change brakes. Those rotors get expensive to replace for a brake shoe.
-
If you were long hill with a lot of switch backs and used your rear brake a lot to slow down . They got hot and lost there ability to slow or stop you. I am in WV with a lot of mountains, when I start down and I think or know it is steep and twisty I use 3 RD gear and let the motor hold me back and the brakes do not get hot.

Some folks that follow us through Facebook know of the accident we had on Saturday while traveling to the Texas M&E with Annie & Al. Just figured I'd come on and give you a brief note for those who didn't know. At 10:30am Lonna, myself, daughter Heather and husband Rob were traveling along the S I45 feeder fixing to head West on FM1960 (Houstonites will know exactly what were talking about) We were in the right turning lane to head West on 1960 and out of nowhere there is suddenly a car in front of me. I had zero recourse and just barely was able to get into the brakes, then collided with the car. The kids were behind us on their bike and they both watched it happen. 19yo girl came across 3 lanes and never even saw us.
I was able to keep the bike up and never fell, fortunate to be able to deflect into a gas station entrance. We were unhurt, albeit Lonna being severely shaken up. The bike took a huge hit, front fairing, lower left fairing both inner and outer, crash bar, driving light bracket and light on left side, windshield and lower deflector are all in need of replacement. I'm figuring roughly $3K to $3500 in repairs. Bike is still ridable, although ugly. Had to restrain my hound of hell daughter as she was ready to pummel this little girl. Info exchanged, cops appeased, insurance company called, and a good meat and potatoes conversation with her dad. I am upset, but very thankful as the outcome could have been way worse. Had to give the youngun a couple of consoling hugs as she was as nervous as you would think she could have been looking at 5' 11" 275 lb biker after crashing into his beautiful bike.
Life is good, I believe a good life lesson learned by this young gal and now just need to get Leroy fixed back up and pretty again. For all that contacted us, Thank you so much for your concern, we will live to ride again.
Sorry to hear of your crash but glad you are OK. The bike can be fixed. I have a front fairing off a 99 it has one tab broke off at the windshield but other wise it is in good shape. You can have it if you want it. I got it for the chrome and that is all I needed.

Good lord, I don't think I've ever paid more than 5000 (up front, not counting "improvements") for any bike I've ever owned.
I just can't imagine 27,000...
Don't worry you will be able to buy one. When it is 30 years old.
-
I can't see much difference in price between it, Goldwing, HD or BMW. Even the last year for the Venture was $21,000.
-
I got it Bob. Thanks and you are welcome.

Backrest is a must for me on long rides.
BTW: Does anyone have a corbin backrest they would like to part with?
Would you be interested in a Saddleman Road Sofa with a backrest? I think the backrest will fit the Corbin also.
-
I would like to see one held in WV even if it is every other year. For the time frame I would pick early Oct. Doesn't matter where it is good riding and plenty of things to do.
-
Hope you have a safe deployment and return safe.

Won a sell your spare one lol

I may be talked into it.

I have the Utopia backrest on mine. Could not ride more than an hour without it. I got another seat a year ago and it came with a Utopia ,so I now have a spare one.
-
It was probably discontinued. If it worked that good the EPA made them stop making it.

I think it would be a shame to not have the International. Even if only a few show up especially if it is in the mid west. It gives us all a chance to meet people that are on this forum that we would not get to meet at an MD or regional rally. I for one try to attend as many as time and funds will allow me to do.

I really like the look of the white walls. They look good on just about any color RSV. I could only find them in the Dunlop 404 and don't want to go that route again.
-
If you are going to paint the inner fairing the removal of it will make you use a few words that are not heard of yet.

115 MPH and she only has a sore elbo and sore ribs. She is one lucky girl. Hope she mends quickly.

My HID headlight went out so I put a stock bulb back in till I could get another headlight. I am glad that I have the Truck light Phase 6 driving lights because that stock headlight isn't worth a s%$T.

I wear prescription glasses and they are tinted, they get darker when out side doing anything. I also use a modular helmet and with the shield down the glasses do not get dark du to the ultraviolet rays blocked by the shield. The helmet that I use does have a sun shade in it so that helps. When I am doing 85 MPH the shield is down and locked in place, the wind does not bother me at those speeds.
