I don't camp and don't care too, but I posted this info because of post #33 by eagleeye asking about camping. Please note that in my posting, that I also included the recommendation to perform a Google search on camping in that area in case he (or others who want to camp) may find better, closer, cheaper accommodations that they may like.
I understand that you were trying to give good info for camping. I was just stating that there is a lot of deer in this area and running these roads in the evening or at night is very dangerous especially for motorcycles. I didn't mean to ruffle any feathers and I am grateful for all the help that I can get for the rally.

Would like to come back down to that area but no more vac. time for this year. I did spend a week this year riding around Eureka Springs though.

I have been taking my kids to the range since they were young. The two bots hunt but not my daughter.

The worst place we stayed at was a Days Inn. Just in the eastern part of Ken. form WV. The cigarette smoke was so bad that I had to go across the street to Wall Mart and get a can of air freshener in order to set in the room without choking and I smoke. It was really bad for the wife as she had just quit smoking. I did raise some hell with the manager about it and got the room for half price. Just glad I didn't have to stay two days.

I have a good set of rings but only one bolt. If you want them they are yours.

You can Google camping in / near Davis, WV for more info.
Eck the only problem with using this camping area to Canaan is about 14 miles of deer infested highway, not a good thing early evening or at night.

Man that bites, hope you get it under control soon. I have a couple brothers that have high BP and one of them has to take blood thinner meds as he has had two open heart surgeries. I am glad that I do not have that problem.

Yes Puc Canaan valley is on the edge of Monongahela National Forest with a few state parks in the area. I would not advise you to pull off on some gravel road and through up your tent, you may be in someone's driveway.

My beloved Pontiac Grand Am of 14 years has passed away! It was not a pretty passing, it was very messy. She started to bleed slowly at first, I tried to patch her up but to no avail. It got worse, first a little moan then a groan the a blood crude-ling scream and she bleed out and it was over. Just like that, one moment we where happily cruising along then she was gone. I suspiciously think my wife was behind this, she has always been jealous of our relationship.
No sooner had she passed and the wife went out and bought a 2014 Chrysler 200!!! I HATE CHRYSLER'S!!!
How could she!!! I'm going to keep a close eye on my bike's! Who knows!! She might replace them with an HD!!! Sorry to hear that you had to bury the Grand AM. I have a 2000 that my son drives and when it dies I will bring it back as I have a replacement motor and tranny in the shop for that purpose.

I am with Great white on this one. I think it is beyond fixing. I am pretty good at metal work and a fair hand at body work also. I would toss it and find another one in better shape.

Why do you have to replace it? Can it be redone. There are people that do a great lob on our seats.

I have a set of the sealed beam driving lights off my bike. I am still using my headlight visor but not the ones for driving or turn signal light visors. I do not think you can but the headlight visor without getting the hole set.
