Yeah but when he gets it done it will be worth three times that.

Don I had a 78 GS 1000 and wish I had it back. Those old bikes take a beating and just keeps on running.
-
I have decided to wait till next year and the bike I get will probably be Goldwing trike. If I can not find what I am looking for in My price range I will trike the RSV. That way I will stay with a water cooled bike and plenty of dealers.
-
Eck from what I was told Victory and Indian will not service each other. Have to go to the respective dealer.
-
Sit back and watch it

I don't have that problem here in WV. of winterizing the bike. I have had it out at least one day a month since I have owned it.
-
The shop I was at has an ultra in that same color. Don't know it is a 15 or not but nice looking bike all the same.

I test rode a Indian Roadmaster when it was about 90+ degrees in Concord, NC. It was a hot ride when we slowed in traffic. I didn't care for the gearing after my RSV and RSTD that I still ride.
So, being 65 and trying hard to retire, wife and I decided to start looking for a GW trike for spring. Well then you start looking a Cycle Trader, Ebay and Craigslist. Oh dang, found one on Craigslist just down the road.
Things worked out and, well we got an early spring. GW Trike time.
Will keep the RSTD, that's MY ride. But will make sure I did the right thing and then sell the RSV. (But the RSV is a smoother ride than any trike.)
That is a nice looking trike. Is it white or light silver? Hard to tell in the pics.

Puc I have no problem riding it for a few more years if my legs hold up. I was going to let my son have the RSV to ride. We may find him one to ride and then look for a trike.
-
Well after a lot of looking and questions the wife and I have decided to hold off on a new bike or trike. Had everything in place but did not pull the trigger. I will ride the RSV for another year then see what I will do. Who knows maybe even a HD in the future but not likely.
-
Yep it is an F6B triked out. I could not ride it for more than 1/2 hour with out a back rest and then it would not look right,
-
I have seen the videos of them but I don't think I would want them on a RSV.

I am 63 years old and we lost my dad in a coal mine accident 6 months before I was born. I didn't get a chance to get to know him and still miss him. Get the bike from your dad and thank him. You will cherish it I am sure. And you will think of him every time you get on it and smile.

Rick I use paypal a lot and have seen this happen. When I get a message from paypal for that reason, I will send an email telling the person that I can not ship it till the funds clear the account.

I think I figured it out you guys. Its all in the code if you bend em a little.. Kind of a combination of "its easier to ask forgiveness than permission" and the "boys will be boys" clause..
What we do is all get Trikes to keep us riding well into our 90's and keep them happy for a long time(speaking in code).. Then we get old beater V-Maxes to play with when they are gone shopping for what ever it is they go shopping for............ I am in the process of testing the V-Max plan and so far it is working great - takes the "edge" off the need for speed and it has the looks (to them) of just another parts bike..
Roller, is the wing trike your looking at an 1800? They do make one very very beautiful Trike when set up right.. Never rode either the 1800 bike or trike but I have heard many many GREAT reports on both.. Personally I would be proud to try wearing out either form!!!
Yes Puc it is 1800. As for the code I don't need it. She is the reason we ride today. If I need for speed I can jump on our V65 Sabre and go.

Yes Puc it is an 1800. 2015 model, Silver in color.

Dan no one knows what tomorrow will bring. I know for sure that I don't, so I am thinking about 5 to 10 years I will not be able to hold up two wheels so if I want to keep on riding and getting a new bike I should get the trike now.
-
Well took the wife in today to look at the Roadmaster and while we were there she spotted a Wing trike and said if we are going to get a new ride just as well get that one. We will know on Tuesday if we get it or not.
-
I dont think that's weird at all Painter, matter of fact, I think it's a great idea!! If I had a 2nd Gen I would certainly be interested cause I would like to test a Roadie, also love to meet up with other VR members and, fact is,, FOOD to boot is always the clincher
All the best in figuring out what your next scoot is gonna be!!
Talking about next scoots. The wife and I may pull the trigger on a 2015 Wing Trike. If we are going to get a new ride just as well get one that I will be able to handle for the next 10 or 15 years.
-
That is not a weird request. If you were close enough you could ride mine.

I was just reading a good comparison test in Road Runner Mag Oct edition, between Indian Roadmaster and HD Ultra Limited. HD won on several points. Less heat and More dealers but performance and more stuff as well.
I have two brothers that have HDs and the younger one of the two said get a HD and be done with buying bikes. He did not like my answer to that. The oldest brother had my RSV when I bought it and he still kicks his rump for selling it. I am just not a HD guy. I like the look and sound but that is where it stops.

Bob and Leo sorry to hear that the trikes are put away for the rest of the year. I am still riding but it will not be very much longer till I join you two. I will ride tomorrow and Friday to work and take the wife for a ride on Sat. then we will see what the weather brings in the next couple weeks.

Well our local Yamaha dealer is now an Indian dealer also. I went in to take a look, Well that was a start. They pulled a 2016 off the show floor and down the road I went. I did about 30 miles on back roads and I like it. I am going to take the wife in on Sat. and will see what she thinks of it. My thoughts is it feels a lot lighter than my RSV, and about 2 1/2" lower in seat height. Cruise and ABS brakes take a little to get use to but not a problem. The shifter could be out to the left a little, kind of hard to find in short trial ride. Plenty of power from the start and the 6 speed tranny is nice. The power windshield is a plus but the button could be in a better place. Plenty of power outlets without having to add them. Trunk is huge. It will hold two modular helmets and a couple light jackets. saddle bags are a little larger too. I have heard from others about heat coming from the motor and it does on the right side. It was only 73* here today so I am sure that it could get a lot hotter as the temps go up. And I ask about a CB but they do not offer one. The only thing that I didn't like too well was the price tag. $31,700 OTD. I think I could get a well equipped GW for that price and have everything I would want in a new bike. So I will let it up to the wife to decide .
