  1. There is a lot of old bikes for sale in a lot of auctions. There is one that I have not seen though. A 1971 Bridgestone 350 GTO. That is the bike that almost killed me in 72. Wish I had it back now.
  2. I have a 2014 Mustang convertible. It has a v6 also with 6 speed auto trans with sport shift. but it does not drive like a v6. Mine is an everyday driver and it did good last winter here in WV. but I did put a little weight in the trunk.
  3. Tom a belated Merry Christmas to you and yours. I hope your retirement plans work for you. I was going to retire next year also but it is not working out for me at this time. Looks like I am stuck for at least 2 1/2 years or maybe 5.
  4. Eck sorry to hear about the accident but glad the family is OK.
  5. I have full coverage Progressive on two bikes. My 03 RSV and an 09 Kaw. Vulcan classic and I have 6,000.00 extra coverage on the RSV for the bling and custom paint, all for less than $500.00 a year.
  6. I had one on my bike for a long time but had to remove it when I went to HID headlight.
  7. I for one will not spend one red cent at Sears. I use to buy all of my tools there untill I had to get a set of squares for work, so I got there Craftsman machinist squares. While using one it fell off my work bench and broke the screw and they would not replace the square or the screw. They said it is not a hand tool. I ask where the start button was and walked out and I have not been back.
  8. OK Mike why would you want to put a Harley motor in a wing?
  9. Might be fun but we need to get some snow first.
  10. WOW! Puc glad they found what was wrong and got it fixed. Now Tip can take it easy and you can cook Christmas Dinner. NO HOT DOGS.
  11. If you take 60 east from Charleston you may want to stop at Hawk's Nest. And when you get to Hicko and US19 north. Turn south and go to New Never Gorge.
  12. I had just turned 18 and was staying with my oldest brother and wanted to go home for the weekend. I borrowed his Honda 350 and took off, it was the week before Christmas and about 40* at his house. I had to go 50 miles to home and as I got to the bottom of the first mountain I had to go up it was raining. No big deal I road in the rain before. When I got to the top it was getting colder and snow flurries. About 15 miles from home it was snowing pretty good and I had another mountain to go up. As I went up the mountain the snow started to lay on the edges of the road when I got to the top the road was covered in slush and I still had 10 miles to go. Keeping my feet down like outriggers I made it to the house but could not get off the bike. I had ice covering all my clothes. Had to break the ice in order to move.
  13. I was looking at your map. If you do not want to run the interstate through WV and PA. stay on 64 east a few more miles, take 60 east to 219 north. Much better ride it you have the time.
  14. The only thing I would like is for the wife to get another Job as she lost hers last week due to uncontrollable circumstances.
  15. I haven't seen a post from him in three or four months. I don't think anyone peed him off he just quit posting.
  16. Cute pup. Now when you going to teach her to ride with you?
  17. Jeff sorry to hear of your upcoming surgery. Hope every thing goes well and you get back on your feet soon. Prayers sent for a speedy recovery.
  18. I can't take a pic of our tree till we put it up. That will be the week before Christmas and it will come down just after New Year.
  19. Don I do not think we need or would want chapters. I am a member of a few other clubs that do have chapters and the membership is dropping in them also. For instance I belong to Southern Cruisers and they are a free club to belong to. The chapter that I am in is the oldest in my state and we had well over 300 members in 2009 now there is less than 100 and maybe 20 that are active. I would not change things unless it has to be done. I do not think that linking it with FB will do any good at all.
  20. A 170 will not fit the rear. It is very close in getting a 160 on there.
  21. Looking good. Hope it doesn't end the same way as the other one.
  22. I was 7 when I got my first ride on a bike. It was a 49 Panhead that my oldest brother had. I was 12 when I first rode myself, it was a 26" bicycle with a Maytag gas motor mounted to it. It had no brakes so we had to coast to a stop. My first street bike was a Suzuki 90. Then a Bridgestone 350 GTO that almost killed me.
  23. Glad things are looking up Eck. I hope that they treat you as good as Progressive treated my wife and our Explorer. Her Explorer was in a hit and run side swipe on the rear quarter and doesn't look like it was touched.
  24. Yes I know that HD made a lot of bikes for the army during WW1 and WW2. When some of the people around here start giving me flack about my Yamaha I just tell them it is a descendent of the Japanese Harley.
