When I am on the road and getting close to a truck and hear the tires slapping the road I try to get away from it pronto. It is just a matter of time till it will come apart and I do not want to be around it when it happens.

About four years ago I was leading an SCRC group on a ride on a county road. This road is very twisty in some spots and we were starting up a steep hill when a dump truck comes flying down the hill and around a turn. He was in the middle of the road as well. I was certain that he was going to wipe some of us off the road, luckily he missed all of us. We did stop to regain our pucker factor then I stayed about 100 yards ahead of the gang with my flashers on to complete the ride.

My computer switched to 10 also. It was a little hard to figure it out and I did loose a couple things that would not work on 10. I lost Tyre to Travel and HD Ride planner. They still work independently but will not work with each other like before.

The only switches I worry about when I ride at night are the headlight dimmer and turn signals the rest are secondary. The GW needs the switches lit up because there are more switches on a GW that in an airplane. :Laugh:

I use a battery tender on mine over the winter and it never goes dead. My battery is four years old.

There is several of them floating around with the center stand. I do not think it would help much if changing the rear tire though.

I was up to see my three brothers last week and they all own HD. My younger brother ask me when I was going to get one( wrong thing to ask me)I said when you GIVE me yours.

Well Puc I have 90,000 on my 03. the only malignance other than tires and fluid changes are changed the rear shock, Barons clutch plate and adjusted the valves at 50,000 miles.

Glad your dad likes the trike. He sure looks happy.

Glad you are out riding.I have been stuck here at the house working on a few things and nothing is going the way it should.

While up checking the routs for the IR I stopped at the lodge and was told that the rooms will be heled till the end of July then will be released. You can still make reservations after that but may not get the rate that we have now. If you plan on this event please get your reservations in before the time runs out.
