  1. I talked to them while there. Had a few refreshments.
  2. We went to the Southern Cruisers State Rally in Bluefield WV. and road the back Of the Dragon from Tazewell to Marion, Va. Here are a few pics of the ride. Hope you enjoy the pics. http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh64/slowrollwv/DSCF3077_zps2pb8hizk.jpg http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh64/slowrollwv/DSCF3087_zpskvqtgqds.jpg http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh64/slowrollwv/DSCF3074%201_zpsihm4dwg4.jpg http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh64/slowrollwv/DSCF3073%201_zpsepbtvyxa.jpg http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh64/slowrollwv/DSCF3107%201_zpszdg9afc4.jpg http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh64/slowrollwv/DSCF3071%201_zpsxixpyl4g.jpg http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh64/slowrollwv/DSCF3070_zps1aoyo2e5.jpg http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh64/slowrollwv/DSCF3068%201_zpsztmz3u6j.jpg
  3. When I got my Venture from my oldest brother I ask him what gas he used and he said hightest. I ran a few tanks of it then saw that I should be running regular in it. So I started to use 87. I found that my mileage per tank had dropped to around 125 miles to reserve. So I tried a tank of 89 and the mileage went back up to around 170 to 200 depending on how hard I twisted the grip. I will use 89 in mine as long as I can get it.
  4. I am not sure what type of roads you were on but if they were state highways or secondary roads it is not uncommon to go a little slower on a group ride. Mainly because one never knows the caliber of riders that will join the group.
  5. Joe taking the back wheel off to grease the splines is not a hard job at all. There is a clip ring on the wheel hub that when it is has a lot of grease on it it is hard to see. And make sure that you separate the brake shoes a little so that they will go back over the rotor without any problem.
  6. Sorry Don no hardware just the replacement for the plastic blades.
  7. Craig I have two sets left. My son took a load of junk in to the scrap yard last week and these parts were missed when he loaded the truck. These two sets are the last of the things that I was making.
  8. Don these are replacement blades for the plastic deflectors that keep cracking. They will adjust the same as the plastic ones.
  9. Here they are. http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh64/slowrollwv/003_zps4lxdi3ee.jpg
  10. Do you want me to hold on to a set of the chrome deflectors that I was making for that area?
  11. Steve they would look good and you will not have to keep them polished. The clear coat will work just like any other paint but make sure you get a good clear coat or it will turn milky.
  12. Sounds good Nanci I have the template ready to go in the mail tomorrow.
  13. I would like to see that overlay over the west coast . Then the east coast to see how many states it does cover.
  14. If you are going to spend some extra cash on a different gun. Living in the area that you do I would go for a Rem.22-250 with a good scope then be good for at least 800 yards.
  15. Looks good Don. I have one on order but will not get it for some time yet.
  16. I can't help much on this. I have a river behind the house.
  17. New Venture, old venture it does not matter. If I get rid of the one I have there will be a Slingshot in my shop.
  18. If all the parts are there I would buy it and fix it. Some of the older bikes are bringing good money.
  19. Hi Richard and welcome these bikes do not have a red line but do have a rev limiter. They make there power through the RPMs. In higher gears it is not uncommon to get a chugging feeling when you twist the grip. Drop back a gear and twist it you will like the feeling then. I use 5 th gear on open highway but stay in 4 on secondary roads and 3 rd in the twistys. Just remember to keep the RPMs up and you will like how these bikes run.
  20. Hay Puc where ever you hang that bell. Make sure it is handy to open all the bottles.:beer:
  21. Tom it sounds like you may have a fuel pump problem.
  22. We will ride in the GBA ride for the Vets next Sunday. We had over 3,000 bikes last year. I have participated in this ride for 11 years.
  23. Puc I see that this stuff stays flexible. Putting bondo over it may cause an air pocket. I guess I will find out though, I just ordered a can for my sons Sabre.
  24. Randy there is a rubber pad under the keys. The alcohol might have destroyed it.
  25. Don you may have to eat some Crow but you don't have to ride one. Call it what it is. MINE.
