  1. Don a friend of mine has a couple Nighthawks. I will check to see if he has side covers.
  2. That just makes it easy to drop the axel, they are bringing good money.
  3. I would unwrap it and let the tire spread out. Makes mounting a lot easier. Check the date on the tire also.
  4. I would put them in a zip lock baggy and put them under the seat or side cover.
  5. RIDE IT. :stickinouttounge:
  6. I am not an electrician by any means but I do know that two Stebel air horns and a set of trumpet air horns do not drain the battery. Well I guess they could if and I mean a big if one would lay on the horns for a long period they may drain the battery. Oh yeah I have two electric horns under my front fairing also and I have not had a problem.
  7. Evan some in our group liked it so well that they did it both ways. I will have a chance to do it next year as we will have the SCRC State Rally there again.
  8. Joe there is a road that is similar to that one up where we are having the Rally. It does not turn to gravel but if you happen to hear Banjos keep moving.
  9. I have been on parts of 16 before but that area was a first for me. Route 7 out of Parkersburg isn't bad either.
  10. We did. Had a ball. Some of the turns were tight, thought I could kiss the wife without turning my head. Will get the chance to do it again next year as they already booked the motel for the rally.
  11. I talked to them while there. Had a few refreshments.
  12. We went to the Southern Cruisers State Rally in Bluefield WV. and road the back Of the Dragon from Tazewell to Marion, Va. Here are a few pics of the ride. Hope you enjoy the pics. http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh64/slowrollwv/DSCF3077_zps2pb8hizk.jpg http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh64/slowrollwv/DSCF3087_zpskvqtgqds.jpg http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh64/slowrollwv/DSCF3074%201_zpsihm4dwg4.jpg http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh64/slowrollwv/DSCF3073%201_zpsepbtvyxa.jpg http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh64/slowrollwv/DSCF3107%201_zpszdg9afc4.jpg http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh64/slowrollwv/DSCF3071%201_zpsxixpyl4g.jpg http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh64/slowrollwv/DSCF3070_zps1aoyo2e5.jpg http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh64/slowrollwv/DSCF3068%201_zpsztmz3u6j.jpg
  13. When I got my Venture from my oldest brother I ask him what gas he used and he said hightest. I ran a few tanks of it then saw that I should be running regular in it. So I started to use 87. I found that my mileage per tank had dropped to around 125 miles to reserve. So I tried a tank of 89 and the mileage went back up to around 170 to 200 depending on how hard I twisted the grip. I will use 89 in mine as long as I can get it.
  14. I am not sure what type of roads you were on but if they were state highways or secondary roads it is not uncommon to go a little slower on a group ride. Mainly because one never knows the caliber of riders that will join the group.
  15. Joe taking the back wheel off to grease the splines is not a hard job at all. There is a clip ring on the wheel hub that when it is has a lot of grease on it it is hard to see. And make sure that you separate the brake shoes a little so that they will go back over the rotor without any problem.
  16. Sorry Don no hardware just the replacement for the plastic blades.
  17. Craig I have two sets left. My son took a load of junk in to the scrap yard last week and these parts were missed when he loaded the truck. These two sets are the last of the things that I was making.
  18. Don these are replacement blades for the plastic deflectors that keep cracking. They will adjust the same as the plastic ones.
  19. Here they are. http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh64/slowrollwv/003_zps4lxdi3ee.jpg
  20. Do you want me to hold on to a set of the chrome deflectors that I was making for that area?
  21. Steve they would look good and you will not have to keep them polished. The clear coat will work just like any other paint but make sure you get a good clear coat or it will turn milky.
  22. Sounds good Nanci I have the template ready to go in the mail tomorrow.
  23. I would like to see that overlay over the west coast . Then the east coast to see how many states it does cover.
  24. If you are going to spend some extra cash on a different gun. Living in the area that you do I would go for a Rem.22-250 with a good scope then be good for at least 800 yards.
