  1. Yes Cha I road one at the 2015 WV SCRC rally in Bluefield. And Larry has offered to let me drive his. The good thing about the Sling is you do not have to have the MC endorsement to drive it here so the wife can drive it.
  2. A friend and I went for a ride on Tuesday and stopped at the Honda, Kawa and Polaris dealer. They had two new wings. One was the 7 speed auto and the other was Manual shift. Then we walked to the other end of the shop where they had the Slingshots. I looked them over real good and then I sat in the one with a roof that looked like a T top It was the best looking one that I have seen so far. It was a Limited Edition Grand Tour. I haven't been able to see or ride the SVTC yet but right now my would go for the Sling.
  3. Well Puc here in West by God years ago. When I was a lot younger if you were at least 18 years old you could go buy a gun from anybody with out a background check or sheriff contact. If you had the money you bought it and went on your way. Now it is a completely different story. You don't get a permit from the sheriff but when you go to buy any gun the dealer has to fill out the paper work and call in the info to get a federal background check. If you pass it you can walk out with your gun if you are a resident. If I buy a pistol out of state the dealer has to transfer it to a dealer in my home area of my choice for a fee of course. OH BTW WV has had an open carry law on the books since the 1800. Now that all has changed also. If you live in WV and do not have a felony charge against you, you can conceal carry without a ccw.
  4. Joe Congrats on finally getting your new bike. From what I have seen from the pics she is a beauty. I do hope that you are able to make it to NC on her maiden voyage. Have you thought about route you will take?
  5. I had one that my son road for a few years until I got the V Star 1300 for him and his wife to ride. I never had a problem with it at all.
  6. First Pablo. Don't be afraid of not getting your money back if you decide to part it out. But I would not give up on it too hastily. If it is in the shape the owner says it is. I would check all the rubber lines for cracks from age. You will have to do a good carb cleaning and change the fuel filter and line while doing the carbs the bike should run. The air system should not keep it from running but that is opinion.
  7. Jeff have you thought about getting a temporary cover for use during riding time then put the bike in your building for winter storage? Just a thought. Something that can be put where you don't have to deal with the hill. Something like this. https://jet.com/product/detail/50483ba20f5043de837d2cfd43797d74?jcmp=pla:bng:nj_roc_gen_patio_garden_a1:patio_garden_outdoor_storage_shed_accessories_a1:na:PLA_333246443_1219358565790427_pla-4579809528185012_c:na:na:na:2PLA15&pid=kenshoo_int&c=333246443&is_retargeting=true&clickid=4da103f2-592c-4d05-afe7-bb91db40e7df&kclid=4da103f2-592c-4d05-afe7-bb91db40e7df&msclkid=d46cf9ce9b7418bf4156a32ad4df2093
  8. Dan you know you can't put light fixtures on water pipes.:rotfl:
  9. Congratulations Larry and hope you two have many more.
  10. Good one Jeff. Hurt my back just watching it.
  11. Glad to see you back up and riding Bert. I have had mine out a couple times so far but the slave is leaking a little. Got all the parts today so I will change it and all the fluids tomorrow. Then it will be ready for what ever direction I want to go.
  12. You can put my name on the list also. Chuck
  13. Jim putting Dyna beads in the rear is not hard to do without removing the wheel. I use a clear plastic hose that fits the valve and pour the beads in and then put a little air to the hose, The air will send them through the valve.
  14. I moved mine over to the other garage and put the Grizzly 600 in its place ( don't think I will need it to push any more :snow2: this year if Jeff can keep his fingers out of that white washer of his.
  15. You can run without the covers. A couple of my friends on another club have done this but instead of the Allan head bolts they used SS hex head bolts.
  16. I have Progressive on my two bikes. Just got my renewal for this year and it jumped up to almost double of last year. I will go to Allstate. I thought this would happen as Progressive did the same thing to my car insurance last year after I renewed it for the bikes. I went with Allstate for the cars with more coverage and saved enough to pay my home owners insurance.
  17. I have had trouble with Base Camp also. I have had good results with HD Ride planner but you have to transfer the route to Tyre to travel to load to my Garmin but you may not need Tyre for the new Venture. I live in the eastern Panhandle of WV. if you get this way give me a shout.
  18. Carl you know he is just like a kid in High school and has to go to FL. for SPRING BREAK. He has had enough :snow2:
  19. Prayers up for cole and the family.
  20. Bob what rally in July at Niagra Falls? I heard it was in Aug.
  21. Glad you found the problem and got it fixed. There is a way to take the lowers off and all the things that they cover but you have to change the air filters along with it.
  22. Well he didn't miss me. We got a total of about 14". The good news is he is done for this year around here.
  23. Yesterday was the first day of spring . Today it is the first day of winter. Jeff have you got your seasons mixed up? We have 10" on the ground and it started to at 8:00 AM Well I hope summer and fall does not go so fast.
  24. That is true but it is all depending on who is saying it. :duck:
  25. Have you checked the fuel filter? It could be getting clogged and not letting fuel flow at high RPMs. If it is the filter get one that is smaller with a cartrage that you can change and you can locate it just behind the tank for easy access under the seat.
