I had an older brother and a first cousin that served in Vietnam. My cousin did three tours and signed up for a fourth but was denied as he was wounded twice.
I think we had our last day of 60* earlier this week. Doesn't look to be very many days in the 50"s next week. That darn Bum left the door open again and the fool is excited about it.

Jay set me on the Sonic 1.5 springs. They made my ride a lot better with out the nose dive like the OEM springs did. I also went with 15# oil. Jay can give you all the info on them.
I was given two push mower for helping a lady move. They had set for about two years and she could not get then started. I drained the old gas out and removed the fuel lines and filled them with Sea foam for a day or two. Then removed the float boll to drain. They were full of crud. Filled the tanks with gas and added some sea foam and they started with two pulls. They ran ruff for a while then started to fun good. Now they start with one pull.
That part of FL. was hit very hard and it will take a long time for clean up and to rebuild. Just a thought where will all the "snow birds" land? It is getting close to their yearly migration.
Defiantly a big difference in size and the way it handles but fun. BTW my son is not at home either but lives close. He and his wife were riding my Vulcan 900 Classic until I got the V Star 1300 Tour.
David that is a good looking scoot. I did the same thing a couple years ago but I don't get to ride it either, my son took it over. Mine is a 1300 with fairing, hard saddlebags and trunk.
On the RSV they say it is a 6 gallon tank but with what is left in the tank and the air pocket at the top I have never been able to put 5.5 gallon in it. And that is when I started to sputter as I pulled in the station after running out on reserve. Any further and I would have been pushing it to the pump. And that was the last time that I have ran reserve that close to empty.
Rt 66 that is one rt that my friend Donnie wants to ride the full length but it is chopped up so much it is herd to find any more. It is even hard to ride Rt 50 coast to coast.
Dave I think you are beating yourself up over nothing. Like I said before mine does the same thing . I run it till it sputters then turn to reserve and ride another 20-25 miles to get gas.
