I would try to find a set of HD take off pipes. Ones without the cats, drill out the centers and be good to go at around $100.00 and save the for the tank.
Thanks Puc for posting it and Sly too for sending it. I got a good out of it. On the serious side though. I had the same injury to my left leg as he said in the vid. They did not use dead bones in my leg though, they took them from my right hip instead along with a plate to hold them together. That was 1972 and the plate is still there.
As Puc said. You will find that there is a lot of Venture trikers here but they are scattered all over. I have an 03 RSMV and a V star 1300 tour also and like them both. The best way to meet some of them you should try to make Don's MD. It is the second weekend in June. Hope to see you there.
Jack I hope you don't find Pucsatonia. That little pace where the Pucster is from. He may start to go home like ET and flood the Midwest again.
If you are sure it is the switch. It may be the rubber O ring seal and not the switch it's self. Same work to do to get at it but the seal is only a few bucks.
Well it is sunny and about 58* here today so I got the V Star out for a short ride of about 40 miles. It is probably my last ride also. I have been having shoulder problems for a while and the ride didn't help any. So until I get it fixed the bikes will set in the garage. If I go to any events this year I will take the Mustang.
Unless you can regulate the pressure to 15-18# I would not try it. The temp. gauge is behind the rad at the thermostat housing. I would look at that closely. That is where I found my leak.
The neutral safety switch on a 2 gen is as Puc's vid shows. Just remember to have an oil catch pan under the bike when you remove the middle gear cover. Before you take all that apart remove left rear cylinder fins and check the back of the motor for oil dripping from a leaky valve cover gasket. That is what caused my leak and it looked same as yours.
I found out early in our marriage not to ride with her or our daughter. She likes to ride the very edge of the road no matter what road we are on and will not hit the brakes until she is at or in a turn. If I am in the car with her I am behind the wheel.
Jeff you get the new tuner in you won't need a jack hammer for the basement floor. You will be fired up enough to get it done with an ice pick. Hope everything goes as planed.
I found the paper work for my 14 Mustang, it has a build date of may 13. I have 126,768 miles on and just changed the water pump (not leaking but bearing was gone). Still has original brake pads but they will be changed this summer.
So getting a new to me, used 2105 Sierra Denali with the 6.2ltr and an 8 speed trannie. I couldn't afford the diesel...so this is the next best thing.
Getting a little into the future aren't you. :duck:
