1. I would have to say the HID headlight and the KURY Phase 6 LED driving lights. Saved a bunch on the charging system. The extra lights I put on the back doesn't hurt anything either. 4 tail lights, 6 brake lights, and 4 turn signals. I think I will be seen, except for the IDIOTS that just don't give a damn.:rotf:

  2. Thanks Jeff.

I redid my mapquest and how about going through Indianapolis. It's a few more mile's but least ways I'm far from Chicago.

    Jeff

I don't blame you for not wanting to go through Chicago. The first time I went to WY. I was driving when we hit there. First and last time I will go there. I am just north of Martinsburg. We could meet up for the ride out to the:cool10: Rally.

  3. I have read about a brand of aftermarket

bars for the RSTD. Does anyone know the

name and where I can get some?

Short arms and fat body just not comfortable

as Patti and I are planning a trip to Pa. an Mass

    in June.

HELP an old fat boy. :fingers-crossed-emo

    Flanders bars.

  4. How about a Victory? My friend just bought one last week in White. I guess they only offered White in 2012 but there are still a few leftovers in dealers. IMHO this is the best new Motorcycle on the market. If you like White the Pearl on this bike is sweet.

Victory has come a long way in a short time. I am waiting to see what Polaris does with Indian before I get another bike. And the pearl White is sweet on the Cross Country.

  5. Okay.....I called Yamaha a few months ago (before the 2013's came out) to ask about ordering RSV's with custom colors (specifically white). Customer Service guy at the corporate office told me the new color would probably be dark or maybe even black, and no they would not take orders for custom colors.

I told him we definitely want a white bike for our next one and although we love our RSV, if Harley is the only place we can get white, that might be what we buy (I would rather have the Yamaha!).

The best offer I've gotten is from a local (nearly local 96 miles away) dealer, and was to buy a new RSV and they would send it downtown to the body shop and have it painted white before I came to pick it up. Only a cool $1800 (about) additional to the cost of the new bike. For that money we should be getting close to a factory painted white HD.

I know Yamaha had a white millennium edition in 2000 or so and only made a few (maybe 1500?) SO I got to wondering if maybe that color should be rolling around for a full production run in the next couple of years.:fingers-crossed-emo

I guess, out of all this what I'd like to know is...........Has anyone had their 2nd gen RSV completely repainted? If so how did it hold up? Thinking at this point, maybe we'll just have ours repainted and wait it out. There's nothing wrong with our paint except the usual rock chips and normal type wear. Still cleans up nice and shines beautifully, with the exception of a rub on the fairing from the PO.

I had my o3 repainted in 07 and it still looks good. I have won many bike shows with it.

  6. I am just about is your shoes, I will be looking for something by the end of March. If it be a truck it will be Deasel and not Chevy or GMC. I just got rid of an extended cab Chevy 4x4 with 278,000 miles and do not want another Chevy, I cussed that thing from day 1. If I get a truck it will be Ford or Dodge. If a car it will be Toyota, Honda, or Subaru.

  7. Yah! Where I worked the place was "evolving" to the point where quality was going down the drain as well as pride in workmanship, not to mention the knowledge base! I'm sooooo glad this old dinosaur retired...

That statement sounds just like the place I work at. Bad thing is I have two more years to work before I can retire.:crying::crying::crying:

  8. Thank you but thats not what Im looking for. I used to have a picture

of it but I lost it when my computer crashed. It fits on the gas tank

inplace of the original pod and holds a tachometer and another gauge.

Thanks again I know someone has one they may want to get rid of....Ron:cool10:

OK you are looking for the Tripmasters guage pod. I have one on my bike, very hard to find now. If you go on The Venturers.org site and ask someone may have one.:080402gudl_prv:

  9. I was helping my oldest brother put a rocket 88 motor and tranny in a 64 Impala. He was cutting a 1/4" plate to make a front motor mount, he had his bluejeans rolled up and a gob of white hot metal dropped into the cuff of the pants and down under the tongue of his penny loafers. He had a hot foot that burnt to the bone. That was about 40 years ago and we still laugh about it. :rotf::rotf:

  10. I do not get a flu shot, they make me sicker with it than with out. But this year I was stuck in bed for five days and could not raise my head. That was two weeks before Christmas. Am feeling much better now. All in our house had it, all except the wife.
