  1. Brakes and clutch should be flushed once a year. If you check them and they are dark in color it needs a change. I had 60,000 on mine and went to stainless steel lines and cables. I also use speed bleeders, they make flushing the system a lot easier.

  2. Well finally back to work been laid off for three months. Not the best pay but work all days 6 to 2:30 weekends off so worth the lost in pay means more time for the bike this summer. Also since I got day shift my wife got to go onto days working till 3 or for every other weekend off so looks like we will be able to go for a ride soon. Get the bike registered this week I hope get a few local rides then hit the road soon.:cool10::cool10:

Glad to hear that you are back to work. I know what it is like, For the last three years I have been off work for four months, Not due to layoff but for medical purposes. All three times it was from Jan. 30 to June 1. and I hate to be off work in spring time.:rotf:

  3. Don, and Rick, in response to the new changes to the IR Entry Form...I have now already e-mailed in my completed "new" Entry Form, and already paid via PayPal. I am sure I am not the first to enter for the IR, but it is nice to have that off my plate.

Entry Form and Fee for VR...IR...checked...done...:backinmyday:

    Same here.:cool10:

  4. I installed a HID headlight 35W and 6000K and did the LED driving lights also ( truck lites ) from Kury. They are very bright and save a bunch on the charging system.:cool10: BTW I only had a little over $220.00 for all three lights in this set up.

  5. Wv has that law. I would not ride without one but that is by choice. What the rest of the people do is there choice, but it is the law here that all wear a helmet.

I had two crashes a long time ago that split my helmets wide open, I would not have survived the first one without a helmet.

  6. When we were shooting 3D we use to step off course and pick a trick shot. Then all in the group tried to follow. A lot of arrows got broke doing that. When we shot indoors we played SLAM! One would shoot and everybody on the line would try to hit his knock.

  7. An 18" wheel from a Stratoliner is an exact drop-in fit for the front of a '05-'09 Royal Star or Venture. I cannot say with 100 % certainty that it will also fit a 2001 model, but, I believe it will. I have personally measured every nano of the stock wheel, and the stratoliner wheel, and it is truly an exact drop-in...uses the same wheel bearings, the same wheel seals, the RSV brake rotors bolt right up to the Stratoliner wheel.

I am not aware of anyone that makes a 21" wheel that easily fits the front of a RS or Venture, but...you can check around.

Question would be...WHY ? Given the weight of a RS or Venture...I do not think it would be wise to hang that much weight on the rim and tire of a 21".

    :backinmyday:

    And...Deputy 1216, do you have a 2001 Venture, or a Royal Star ???

The wheel may be a direct drop in and the rotors may bolt to a Strat wheel but I would look awful close at the clearance of the fender before I would try to fit any other wheel on a 99 to 2013 Venture. I don't see enough room for anything in there.:080402gudl_prv::whistling:

  8. Believe Freebird had a 2 gauge pod years ago and sold it...

I know because I wanted it bad..........

Don't even know who origionally made them? a member perhaps

The gauge pods were made by Tripmasters and when he passed away the business went under. His wife sold all of his parts and stock to the Venturers. That is the story I was told when I got my pod from them.
